In this way, you will get a brief idea regarding the central idea of the passage.

  • Try to be familiar with quite a few English words so that you can instantly answer the synonyms and antonyms questions.
  • Read English newspapers on a daily basis to improvise your command over English language and to enhance your reading and writing capabilities.
  • Whenever you come across new words, try to find out the meanings, note them and try to use them in sentences. Try to learn 10 new words with their meanings on an everyday basis.

Error spotting:

·         You have to be very flexible with English grammar for this section. If you are proficient in grammar, only then you would be able to spot out the blunders in the sentences. For most of the questions, error will be with the syntaxes of “subject- verb agreement”. Also, there can be many questions from subject tense agreement.

Para Jumbles:

·         To answer this segment, you need to be familiar with structure and formation of sentences.

Cloze test: 

  • Go through different types of words. Those will help you in enhancing your skills in English language.

Grammatical correction of sentences:

·         For this segment, you need to have a good idea of grammar. Go through different materials for grammar (for example- Wren and Martin etc.) and keep practising questions based on grammar correction. Moreover, also try to have a sound knowledge of vocabulary as it is also required.

SBI PO Prelims result date: Expected on 18th July 2016

State Bank of India (SBI) has managed to smoothly commence the SBI PO Prelims examination 2016 (Phase 1). SBI had conducted the exams in online mode on 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th July. It is expected to announce the results on 18th of July 2016 at the link: www.sbi.co.in . All the SBI PO aspirants have high expectations from this result as this result will help them as a “gateway” for the SBI PO Mains 2016. The examination pattern of the Prelims exams ranged from easy to difficult and were a wide range of question of all types. Selected candidates will be called up for the SBI PO Mains scheduled on 31st July, 2016.

Steps to check the SBI PO Prelims Result 2016:

Given below are the steps to check SBI PO Prelims Result 2016:

a. Log in to the official website of SBI PO www.sbi.co.in  or PO result likn page.

b. You will find a link which says check your SBI PO Prelims Result 2016. Click on the link.

c. A pop up or a new window will appear in front of you. Enter the necessary details (roll number and password or roll number and date of birth).

d. After using any one of those combinations (given in point ‘c’), click on the submit button.

e. Your SBI PO prelims result will appear on the screen along with your score card.

f. Download the result and the score card and keep these documents with you for future reference.

A message “Congratulations – You have been shortlisted for the SBI PO main examination (Phase-II) to be held on 31-07-2016. You can download your call letter from banks website from 21-07-2016.” will be displayed on your score card if you have cleared the exam of SBI PO Prelims.

Expected cut- off marks for SBI PO Prelims 2016:

The candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the three sections. Along with this, they also have to secure the overall cut off marks to crack the examination.

Examination all the way! The third day first slot of the SBI PO prelims exam has finally come to an end. We bring the analysis of the first slot to give you a brief and crisp idea about the SBI PO Prelims propanganda. As you are already aware of, the examination consisted of three different sections: English, Reasoning and Quantitaive Aptitude.

When we take a look at the earlier slots, the questions were both moderate as well as difficult, but tricky. But, the first slot of SBI PO prelims on 9th July had come up with “Moderate diffculty level”. Definitely a good news for the candidates! The pattern of the entire paper was almost similar with the earlier phases. This particular piece of information can be highly helpful for the candidtes in future and those who are appearing today. As usual, five puzzles were asked in first slot paper. You can make it a important point for the upcoming slots as well.

SBI PO Exam pattern analysis: 9th and 10th July- Smart analysis with expected cut off.

General- 50-55 out of 100

Some important guidelines for the examination:

a. You have to take care of both the cutoffs- (sectional and overall) to clear the SBI PO Prelims exam.

b. Another essential key is proper time management. Try to allot genuine timings to each of the sections as per the following figures:

English Section: 15 minutes

Quant: 20 minutes

Reasoning: 25 minutes

One can easily attempt 55 questions in the above time slots.

c. Skim through the entire paper (especially through reasoning and quant sections) and try to attemp the easy questions first. If you are stuck at a question which you find difficult, it absolutely doesn’t make sense to waste time on it. Skip those questions and move on to the questions which cn easily solve. You may try out those left questions later.

d. Last but not the least, belive in your caliber! Believe in the fact that “I CAN DO IT” and you will see wonders in your performance. It is well and good if a candidate manages to attempt 80 questions but all you need is 45 or 46 to clear prelims. Remember, Smart and efficient attempts matter!
