SSC CGL Online Application Form 2017

Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level exam to recruit candidates for various vacancies in departments and ministries under Government of India. SSC CGL has seen as many as 20 lakh candidates appearing for the tier-1 exam in 2016-17. This year we can expect around 30 lakh candidates appearing for over 20,000 vacancies.

SSC has released the SSC exam calendar for the year 2017. As per the official SSC exam calendar, the Commission will invite applications for the CGLE 2017 in the month of March.

The Important Dates for SSC CGL 2017 is given below:

SSC CGL Application Form 2017:

The application form can be obtained from the official website of Staff Selection Commission. The apply mode will be online and offline.

Selection Procedure for SSC CGL 2017:

SSC will organise Selection process in 4 Stages as mentioned below:

  • Tier-1: Written Exam(Objective Type) (200 Marks)
  • Tier-2: Written Exam(Objective Type) (200 marks for each paper i.e paper 1 and paper 2)
  • Tier-3: Written Exam(Descriptive Type) (100 Marks)
  • Tier-4: Computer Typing Test/Skill Test(as per the post)

SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility:

Education: The candidates must have attained graduation from a recognized university.

Age Limit:  The age limit is increased by the commission for this year. The earlier age limit was from 18 to 27 years (General Category). The new age limit for 2017 is 20 to 30 years. Age will be counted on 1st August 2017 for the SSC CGL exam 2017.

SSC CGL Pay Scale:

SSC offers competitive pay scale for selected candidates in SSC CGL Group B Recruitment 2017 of Rs.54, 864 to Rs.61, 424 plus 4800 Grade Pay.

SSC CGL 2017 Application Fees:

The application fees for the candidates applying for Group 'B' posts will be Rs.100/-

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2017:

If you are planning to apply for the SSC CGL exam 2017, the following steps should be followed:

  1. Visit the Official website of SSC i.e ssc.nic.in.
  2. Check for the SSC CGL Notification at the Notices section at the top.
  3. Candidates need to read the advertisement carefully.
  4. After reading the details, fill the application form.
  5. Upload the recent passport size photograph and signature as per the required specification.
  6. Verify the filled details.
  7. Make the required payments i.e Application fees. It can be paid online.
  8. Submit the form.
  9. The confirmation will be issued and the SSC CGL application 2017 will be submitted.
  10. Take a printout of the application copy for future reference.

SSC CGL Tier-II Re-examination Analysis: 12th January 2017

Staff Selection Commission has conducted the  Combined Graduate Level Tier-II  Examination

2016  for 1,49,330 candidate in the Computer Based Mode at 356 venues in 57 cities (centres) across the country from 30th November 2016 to 2nd December 2016. There were 1,20,933 candidates (80.93%) who actually appeared. The Examination went off successfully in 333 centres. But there were some discrepancies at remaining 23 centres.

The re-exam was scheduled by the commission in these centres. The re-exam will be conducted in single slot on following dates.

 SSC will conduct re-exam for the SSC CGL Tier II exam 2016 for the centres where exam got cancelled. The SSC CGL tier II exam was conducted from 30th December 2016 to 2nd  January 2017,

The revised date as announced officially is as follows:

SSC CHSL Tier II Re-examination : 12th and 13th January 2017

The admit cards are already available and can be downloaded from the official website of the respective region.

Meanwhile, SSC has released as some important instructions for the candidates who are appearing the re-exam. We are briefing below the summary.

  • Candidates are strictly advised to not bring cellular phones, bags and other prohibited items inside the exam hall.

  • Prohibited items are as follows:

watches, books, pens, paper chits, magazines, electronic gadgets (mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, head phones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc)

  • If any of the above items are found then the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled and he will not be able to appear the SSC exams for the next 3 years.
  • The candidate himself will be responsible for the safe custody of  bags and any valuable items. The Commission will not be responsible for making any arrangements for keeping such items.
  • The candidates are strictly refrained from creating any disturbances or obstructions during the conduct of SSC CGL Tier II exam.If done so, he will be barred from all the examinations of SSC in future and there will be criminal or legal proceedings against him/her.

The Commission also clearly states that no further examination will be conducted in case, the re-exam scheduled gets disrupted.

SSC CGL Tier II Re-Exam 2016 Official Notice - Check Exam Dates

The SSC CGL Tier-II Examination 2016 was conducted by Staff Selection Commission from 30 November to 2 December 2016. A total of 1,49,330 candidates were eligible for the online Computer based test for CGL Tier II in two shifts per day at across the country in which 1,20,933 candidates have actually appeared. This is around 80.93% of the total qualified candidates.

The Commission has received representations from some of the candidates challeging that they faced technical and other related problems during the examination at some of the venues. The Commission, after due examination of video footages, has taken a serious view of certain candidates found to have been actively involved in disturbing and instigating other candidates to disrupt the process of the examination. The Commission proposes to take appropriate action against such candidates, which may include disqualification and debarment for a period of three years, in consonance with the extant guidelines. The SSC received many complaints till 9th December.

Those candidates, whose grievances are found to be genuine, would be intimated for re-examination.The Commission has announced the re-examination for such affected candidates. The tentative dates for CGL tier 2 re-exam are on 12th and 13th January 2017.

A recent SSC CGL 2017 Notification on the SSC website reads , “The crucial date for reckoning of age calculation for CGLE 2017 would be 01.08.2017 and no change in this date would be made.”

This new date provided by the Staff Selection Commission will be used  or calculating eligibility in terms of Age and Educational Qualifications. Hence, for SSC CGL 2017 Registration, you will have to arrive at your valid eligibilty by taking the date 1st August .2017 into consideration.
