RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019

RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019:- RRB JE exam pattern has been changed by the RRB, Railway Recruitment Board. Railway Recruitment Board released the latest exam pattern this year, before applying, go through the complete RRB JE exam pattern as per the latest notification here:

  • RRB JE Tier 1 will consist of 100 Questions and Tier 2 will consist 200 Questions
  • Duration for RRB JE Exam Tier 1- 90 minutes and Tier 2- 120 minutes
  • In both the sections, a correct answer will fetch 1 mark.
  • RRB JE Tier 3 will be offline Document verification and Medical fitness exam

  • RRB exam pattern 2019 for Junior Engineer post has been revised.
  • Before exam was conducted in 4 Sections: CBT 1, CBT 2, Document Verification and Medical Fitness exam.
  • Now the exam will be conducted in 3 Sections: CBT 1, CBT 2 and Document Verification & Medical Fitness Exam.

Important points to note:

  1. Both the above mentioned CBT 1 & CBT 2 exams shall be of Objective type.
  2. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer, there will be a penalty of 1/3 marks from the secured marks.

Document Verification & Medical Fitness Test – RRB JE Exam Pattern

Candidates who will clear both CBT 1 & CBT 2 will have to go through Document Verification & medical Fitness Test in order to be eligible to be in the final merit list. RRB will release the date for Document Verification & Medical fitness test few days after the result of CBT 2 will be released.

Document Verification:

In this step of the selection process, candidates are required to submit documents as mentioned in the official notification for claiming their seat. Applicants claiming for relaxation also need to submit the relevant documentation to support their claims.

Instructions for Uploading Documents Online – RRB JE Exam Pattern

  • If any certificate is not in Hindi or English, one must bring its translated version.
  • The certificate must specify the date of issue.
  • One must upload all the required documents before the given deadline.
  • Single page documents should be in JPEG/JPG format.
  • Documents having multiple pages must be uploaded in PDF format.
  • For single page document, image size should remain between 50-300 kb.
  • For multiple page document, image size should remain between 50-500 kb.
  • Documents such as Matric Certificate, Intermediate/PUC Certificate, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate are single page documents
  • Documents such as all Semester mark sheets saved as one page, Discharge certificate saved as one document are multiple page documents

Medical Fitness Test:

In medical Fitness Test, one must fulfill the medical standard as per their post and department requirement. candidates will be notified to come to a specified location which will be chosen as the center for document verification by RRB.

  • Visual Standards-Distance vision – 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (Power of lenses should not exceed 2D)
  • Near Vision – Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and one must pass the color test, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, and Night Vision.
