SSC CPO Syllabus 2018

SSC Conducts CPO exam every year. SSC CPO is a wonderful opportunity for those who want to serve the police and paramilitary forces. There are various posts under SSC CPO. Selection in SSC CPO means that you will serve your country and work in national interest. The State Services Commission has several job openings that often involve police, inspection, supervision, audit, and jobs that involve travel, military, and may also involve interaction with the public. CAPF is a Paramilitary force known as Central Armed Police forces and it comes under the Home Ministry. India has five central armed forces namely BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBF and SSB comes under the CAPF. Here BSF Stands for Border Security Force, CISF stands for Central Industrial Security force, ITBF stands for Indo-tibetan border force, while SSB stands for Sahashtra Seema Bal and comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts): Physical Endurance tests do not carry marks but are qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear PET/PST will have to write Paper II or English language test.

Physical Standards: Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts): Physical Endurance tests do not carry marks but are qualifying in nature. Following are the physical standards or measurements required for being selected in SSC CPO.

For male candidates only

  1. 100 meters race in 16 seconds
  2. 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
  3. Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 3 chances
  4. High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
  5. Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chances

For female candidates only

  1. 100 meters race in 18 seconds
  2. 800 meters race in 4 minutes
  3. Long Jump: 2.7 meters (9 feet) in 3 chances.

High Jump: 0.9 meters (3 feet) in 3 chances.

SSC CAPF ASI SI exam 2016: Results withdrawn by the Commission

The result of exam for Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in CISF, Examination, 2016, Paper-I as held under was declared on 20th July, 2016. After the declaration of the result, the commission noticed some errors in the system. Because of the discrepancy, the result was suspended by the commission.

The Sub-Inspectors in CISF examination was initially scheduled to be conducted on March 20 but the SSC has organised the rescheduled examinations on June 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11.On June 27, the Commission uploaded the candidate’s response sheet along with the correct answers. Approximately 2.5 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.

issued an official notice informing that the results have been withdrawn/ held back and as soon as the issue gets resolved, the results will be published on the website.While the candidates were happy for clearing paper-I, now they have to wait further for their final results.

Moreover, the worrying factor for candidates is that those who may have qualified the paper-I in results announced earlier, now might have different outcome and the same goes for non-qualified ones. Meanwhile, SSC has made the whole recruitment process a bit hasty which is no way helping the candidates.

About SSC CAPF Exam:

The Staff Selection Commission holds examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF at different location across the country. SSC SI recruitment shall be done on the basis of Written Examination, PET, PST and Medical Test. Only those candidates, who qualify paper-1 exam, will be eligible to appear for PET, PST and Medical Test and then who clear the PET, PST and Medical Test will be allowed to appear in Paper-2 exam.

The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts examinations every year for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in the Central Industry Security force (CISF) and Delhi Police.   • General Awareness: It consists of the Static general knowledge and the current affairs. Thus, it is important to read newspapers daily. Also NCERT textbooks of History, Geography, Economics and Science (from class 7th to 10th) are suggested to be read.
  • General Intelligence and reasoning: This section tests the logical skills of the candidates. Some important topics that need to be practiced are- Number series, Coding-Decoding, Arrangement-Direction, Non-verbal, Classification, Syllogism etc.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: This is the most scoring section if one has conceptual clarity and has practiced enough. Some important topics in this section are Ratio and Partnership, Number Theory, Algebra, Percentage, Data Interpretation, Trigonometry and geometry.
