After having a look at the pattern, let us go for a section- wise study plan for 1 week (7 days):

Day 1 (Monday)

  • Please go through any four important topics of ‘General Knowledge’. This is the section which should be focused on and seeks utmost attention.
  • Please go through any four topics of Quant and practice questions from the section

Day 2  (Tuesday)

  • Please prepare any three topics of Reasoning (any three topics) and go through the topics of General Awareness (any four topics).
  • Prepare any three topics from computer fundamentals

Day 3 (Wednesday)

  • Solve 1 full length test from each section and analyse the paper completely.
  • Practice any three topics from English language

Day 4 (Thursday)

  • Brush up on all types of Descriptive Writing Questions (Précis Writing, Letter and Essays).
  • Prepare any four topics of reasoning ability and any two topics from general awareness.

Day 5 (Friday)

  • Go through the topics of Reasoning (any four topics) and go through the topics of English Grammar (any four topics).
  • Go through any three topics of computer fundamentals and English comprehension/ General Awareness

Saturday and Sunday

Revise as many topics as you can from each section. Relax in between the study hours instead of making them hectic.

IBPS PO Mains 2016: Tips to crack

  • Prepare according to the strategy. Don’t prepare randomly as it will not give you enough scope to prepare all sections properly.
  • Focus on the areas which you are weak at. Practice questions from different standard books like R. D. Sharma which will have questions of all types.
  • Don’t panic in the examination hall. Be relax, calm down and solve the paper.
  • Try to manage the time efficiently. Time management is one of the most essential tools to be successful in any attempt.
  • Be confident. Self- confidence is the ultimate ladder to success.

IBPS PO Prelims 2016 :  Score Card Released

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) is conducting recruitment for the post 8822 Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2016. The IBPS PO preliminary exam was held on 16th, 22nd , 23rd and 27th October 2016. The result of IBPS PO was declared on 4th November 2016. The candidates who are qualified in the pre exam can attend the IBPS PO Mains exam which will be held on 20th November. The Admit card for the Mains exam is available for download.


 

The score card for IBPS PO Prelims has been announced officially. Candidates can check the scores on or before Nov 20 from the official website.


 

You will require following details for checking the score:

  • Registration Number

  • Roll Number

  • Date of Birth (DOB)

  • Password


 

Follow these steps to check the scores:

  1. Visit the official website of IBPS or the link provided below.

  2. Click on the link CWE PO/ MT VI at the sidebar.

  3. Click on the link 'Common Written Examination for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees 6 '

  4. Now Click on the 'View Scores' Link.

  5. Enter the required details and login.

  6. Candidate’s scores will be displayed

Process for Arrriving at the IBPS PO Prelims scores: The process applied for obtaining the scores of the preliminary exam is as follows:

  1. Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the wrong answer.

  2. The corrected score so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the difference in the difficulty level of the different question paper sets. The scores thus obtained is called 'Equated Scores'.

  3. Final scores are rounded off up to two decimal points.

IBPS PO Mains 2016 Admit Cards- Points to Remember

  • Do carry your admit card when you come for the examination. In case of failure, candidate may not be allowed to appear the examination.
  • Paste a passport- sized photograph in the respective space. Please don’t staple the photograph instead use glue to paste it.
  • Please attach a photocopy of your ID proof (May it be license, Aadhar card, Ration Card, Voter ID or Passport).
  • Please provide your initials on the ID proof such as name, roll number etc.
  • Take a photocopy of the admit card and attach it with the original admit card.
  • Get the photo ID card which you have submitted during form fill- up while coming to the centre.
  • Keep an eye on to your mail inbox to receive latest notifications.

IBPS PO Prelims 2016: Expected Cut- off Marks

What is one of the most important concerns that comes to mind if you are an IBPS PO aspirant? If we are not wrong, cut- off marks is one of the basic concerns right? Definitely, it is one. IBPS PO examination has been one of the most crucial and competitive examinations till date in the banking domain. The IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel) conducts the PO exam in order to recruit candidates for the post of ‘Probationary Officers”.

The cut- off marks will be declared by the month of November 2016 along with the results of the exam. The IBPS PO Mains examination will be held on 20th November 2016. The candidates who manage to clear the cut- off marks will be called for the mains exam. The final cut- marks of IBPS PO will be provided by the month of April 2017.

IBPS PO Cut- off Marks: Highlights-

  • The number of candidates who will be shortlisted for the online main examination will be in accordance to the number of vacancies.
  • Every candidate needs to score obtain a minimum score in each examination. Along with it, the candidate also has to score a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
  • Cut- off marks will solely depend on the number of available vacancies. The cut- off marks will be finalized and accordingly candidates will be shortlisted for interview.
  • The scores of the candidates of the online mains examination will not be shared with the candidates unless and until the interview process comes to an end.
  • Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
  • In order to shortlist candidates for interview and also for listing of final merit, the marks obtained in the mains examination is the only thing which will be considered.

In order to clear the cut off marks, try to attempt at least 70- 80 percent overall and a 40- 45 percent of questions in each section.
