IBPS PO Prelims Exam Analysis- 27th October 2016 (1st slot)

Hello people,

Hope you are doing well. The IBPS PO 2016 VI first slot was held 8 AM onwards. The slot had arrived along with a lot of surprises and aspirants have a lot of hopes associated with it. It is mandatory for a candidate to clear the prelims rounds in order to be eligible for the mains examination. The examination of IBPS PO Prelims on 27^th October 2016 will be conducted in four slots:

Slot 1	8:00 AM (Morning Shift)
Slot 2	10:30 AM(Morning Shift)
Slot 3	1:00 PM(Afternoon Shift)
Slot 4	3:30 PM(Evening Shift)

The results of the IBPS PO Prelims 2016 will be declared in the month of November 2016. Students are advised to go through the analysis in detail and be ready for the upcoming slots.

English Section:

Good Attempts for this section: If you attend 16-18 number of questions, it can be a sure shot attempt to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of the examination was of moderate level.

Analysis:

1. Reading Comprehension (Based on Mexico & U.S. GDP)– 7 Questions (Moderate)

2. Cloze Test (Based on Economy)– 8 Questions (Easy)

3. Spotting Error/ Sentence Correction – 10 Questions (Moderate)

4. Para jumbles – 5 Questions (Moderate)

Note:- No Synonym Antonym questions were asked

Quantitative Aptitude Section:

Good Attempts for this section: If you attend 20-22 number of questions, it can be a sure shot attempt to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of the examination was of easy- moderate level

Analysis:

 1. Number Series – 5 Questions (Moderate)

2. Approximation/ Simplification – 5 Questions (Easy )

3. Data Interpretation (2 Sets) (Line graph and Tabular graph)– 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate)

4. Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions (Easy)

5. Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions (Moderate)

Some of the Miscellaneous questions asked were from topics– Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, etc.

Reasoning Ability Section:

Good Attempts for this section: If you attend 21- 24 number of questions, it can be a sure shot attempt to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of the examination was of moderate level.

Analysis:

1. Syllogism – 5 Questions (Easy)
2. Inequality – 5 Questions (Easy)
3. Puzzle and Arrangement (Floor arrangement, Circular arrangement, Linear arrangement – 15 Questions (Moderate)
4. Miscellaneous Questions (Blood Relation, Direction based) – 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate)

Note- No Coding – Decoding Questions were asked.

Overall analysis of IBPS PO Prelims 2016 for Slot 1- 26^th October 2016

We already had a sneak peak at the section- wise analysis. It’s high time that we take a look at the overall analysis of the examination. The overall analysis will give us an insight about the pattern and types of questions asked from every section. So, the overall difficulty level of the examination was moderate
