Cheers! The IBPS PO Prelims 2016 has finally completed the final slot of its final examination. The final slot of the examination started from: 30 pm onwards. We had a word with the students and asked them about the questions asked. The response we got the students was quite positive. English Language Section:

Good Attempts for this section: When you attempt 15- 18 questions, you will surely get a gateway to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The questions asked from this section were of moderate level.

Analysis:

1. Reading Comprehension – 7 Questions – (Moderate)
2. Cloze Test– 8 Questions (Easy)
3. Spotting Error/ Sentence Correction – 10 Questions (Moderate)
4. Para jumbles – 5 Questions (Moderate)

Note:- No Synonym Antonym questions were asked

Quantitative Aptitude Section:

Good Attempt: When you attempt 21- 25 questions, you will surely get a gateway to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The questions asked from this section were of moderate level.

Analysis:

1. Number Series – 5 Questions (Moderate)
2. Approximation/ Simplification – 5 Questions (Easy)
3. Data Interpretation (2 Sets)- 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate)
4. Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions (Easy)
5. Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions (Moderate)
    

Some of the topics from which miscellaneous questions were asked include – Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, etc.

Reasoning Ability Section:

Good Attempt: When you attempt 21- 25 questions, you will surely get a gateway to clear the cut- off marks.

Difficulty Level: The questions asked from this section were of moderate level.

Analysis:

1. Syllogism – 5 Questions (Easy)
2. Inequality – 5 Questions (Easy)
3. Puzzle and Arrangement (Floor arrangement, Circular arrangement, Linear arrangement)- 15 Questions (Moderate)
4. Miscellaneous Questions (Blood Relation, Direction based) – 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate)
   Note: No Coding – Decoding Questions were asked.
