RBI Assistant Prelims 2016: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of RBI Assistant Prelims 2016 is based on three factors:

  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Educational Qualification

Nationality/Citizenship

Candidates who are eligible ‘Indian Nationals’ can only apply for the post of RBI Assistant.

Age Limit: It is one of the crucial factors of ‘Eligibility Criteria’. The candidates who will apply for this post will have to satisfy the age limit prescribed by RBI Assistant 2016.

  • The Age as on 7th November 2016 must be between the limit of 20 to 28 years.
  • There are provisions of age relaxation based on different categories. It can be stated as follows:

Note: Duration of the exam: A composite time of 60 Minutes

The candidates MUST pass in each of the above Objective tests. The passing marks in each test will be decided by IPPB on the basis of the performance of all the candidates appearing in the tests. Candidate may accordingly allocate their time to each test within total time of 60 minutes for all the three tests put together.

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests. The Scores of Online Examination will be obtained by adopting the following procedure :

  1. Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.
  2. The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores i.e Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.
  3. Test-wise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal points upto two digits.

RBI Assistant Prelims 2016: Last Minute Preparation Tips

English Language-

  • This will have grammar questions dominating the paper. Practice topics from grammar (parts of speech, direct and indirect speech, active and passive, etc.).
  • It will also have non- grammar questions. It will include reading comprehension, etc. Practice reading comprehension questions from different sources. Find out the answers from the passage itself instead of reading the whole passage and then answering questions.
  • Focus on topics like Errors, Comprehension, Cloze Test, etc.
  • Enhance your vocabulary by learning new words and newspapers.
  • Try to attempt fill in the blanks and sentence arrangement questions as soon as possible. They are easy, less time consuming and scoring as well.

Quantitative Aptitude-

  • Try to save time from other sections and invest in this section. It is the most time consuming as compared to other questions.
  • The questions will be of a bit higher level as compared to other sections.
  • Don’t get stuck to one question. You will end up wasting time and won’t get enough time to solve other questions.

India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) has invited application for filling 650 vacant posts for Scale I officers and Administrator posts. The recruitment exam for Scale 1 officers will be conducted in December 2016/ January 2017.

IPPB Officer Admit card 2016

 The call letters required to appear for IPPB Officer exam. India Post Payments Bank Limited will take written exam of Objective type for Officer Scale-I in December 2016/ January 2017. For that, admit card is released.


Selection will consist of the following steps:

(i) Preliminary Examination

(ii) Main Examination

(iii) Interview

The final selection shall be made on the basis of interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for Examination / Group Discussion / Interview.

  2. Fill in the required details and submit.
  3. It is advised to take a print out of the admit card for future reference.


 

Instructions for Candidates:

  • Documents needed at the Exam hall/venue:
  1. Valid IPPB Admit Card
  2. Photo Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, e-Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Election Card, Bank Passbook, Passport or ID Card issued by School/College)
  3. Photocopy of Photo Identity Proof
  • Reach the venue at least 2 hours before the given time.
  • Candidates reporting after a specified time will not be allowed to take the test.
  • Any misconduct by the applicant in the premises may result in cancellation of candidature from future exams conducted by this department.
