# SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1: Exam Analysis: 29th August 2016

Analysis: A term which helps to concentrate on the minute details of an event which will give you an idea of the further proceedings and possibilities associated with the event. But, that was done by you as per the instructions of the biology tutor to make you analyse its body construction and how it works. Analysis is more of examination and is beyond mere description. In this article, we bring you a complete analysis of the SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 conducted on 29th August 2016.

The third day of SSC CGL Tier has come to an end and the hopes of the candidates are all high. The SSC CGL examination has been conducted in online mode for the very first time. In this article, we will provide you an insight of the analysis of SSC CGL Tier 1 examination conducted on 29thAugust 2016.

Before going on to the analysis, let us take a look at the pattern of SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 examination:

The paper consisted of a total number of 100 objective type questions which was, in turn, divided into four sections. The entire paper becomes of 200 marks total.

Quantitative Aptitude:

The questions asked from this section were of easy- moderate level. The questions asked from the sections “Geometry” and “Trigonometry” were tricky. Candidates with adequate practice can easily attempt about 16 questions from this section. The topics from which maximum of the questions were asked are:

English Language:

The questions asked in this section were of easy- moderate level. A good attempt in this section can be 14- 16 questions. The grammar section dominated all other sections in the questions asked. Vocabulary also occupied a major part of the paper. The topics from which questions were asked are as follows:

General Awareness: The questions of the general awareness were moderate to tough. A good attempt can be 14 to 16 questions from this section. Static GK was dominant in this section. The topics which were asked are as follows:

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

The questions asked in the reasoning section were of easy- moderate level. Some of the questions were asked from ‘High Reasoning’ as well. Candidates with proper practice and good skills in reasoning can easily attempt 20 questions from this section. The topics from which maximum number of questions were asked are:
