Note: The time duration of the examination will be of 1 hour. The number of questions asked from English Language are 30 and from Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude are 35. Hence, the total number of questions will be 100 questions.

Note: Duration of the exam: A composite time of 60 Minutes

The candidates MUST pass in each of the above Objective tests. The passing marks in each test will be decided by IPPB on the basis of the performance of all the candidates appearing in the tests. Candidate may accordingly allocate their time to each test within total time of 60 minutes for all the three tests put together.

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests. The Scores of Online Examination will be obtained by adopting the following procedure :

  1. Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.
  2. The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores i.e Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.
  3. Test-wise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal points upto two digits.

If any changes in the pattern of IPPB, it will be intimated to the students via official notifications on the website. For every incorrect response, 0.25 of marks assigned to the question will be deducted from the score of the candidate.

The marks allotment in IPPB is done as per some specific approaches. The “equi- percentile method” is used to normalize the scores of the candidate in different sessions. In order to calculate, scores up to two decimal points are considered. Generally, the cut – off scores is applied in two stages: scores in separate tests and total score.
