SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern:

The candidate must be well- aware of SBI PO Prelims exam pattern. If the candidate knows the exam pattern, he/ she will be to proceed well with the SBI PO preparation. Previously, SBI PO exam was conducted in two phases. But, from the last year, it is being conducted in three independent phases: Phase I, Phase II and Phase III. The Phase I is the SBI PO Preliminary examination which is a gateway to the Phase II i.e. SBI PO Mains.

It will be extremely easy for you if you plan your study schedule in a week- wise approach. So, we provide you a study schedule for SBI PO 1 month preparation:

Week 1/ 1st week-

Quantitative Aptitude- Tables and Squares, Indices, H.C.F. and L.C.M., Percentages, Interest, Ratio and Proportion, Number series, Averages.

Logical Reasoning- Inequalities, Missing series, Directions, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Blood Relations, Input- Output, Syllogism.

English Language- Conjunctions, Interjections, Prepositions, Adverbs, Articles, Pronouns, Basics of Grammar, Adjectives, Verbs.

Week 2/ 2nd week-

Quantitative Aptitude- Profit and Loss, Mixtures and Alligations, Time Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Probability, Problems on boats and streams.

Logical Reasoning- Decision Making, Statements and Assumptions, Numbers and Rankings, Sitting Arrangement, Tabular/ Floor Arrangement.

English Language- Active and Passive voice, Tenses, Direct and Indirect speech, Idioms and Phrases, Tenses, Auxiliaries and Modals.

Week 3/ 3rd week-

Quantitative Aptitude- Pick up a few chapters which you find to be tough and revise them.

Logical Reasoning- Pick up a few chapters which you find to be tough and revise them. Practice DI questions in particular.

English Language- Revise Spotting of Errors, Grammar Basics, Tenses, Direct and Indirect speech, Active and Passive voice, Cloze Test and Parajumbles.

Week 4/ 4th week-

Practice as many SBI PO mock tests and SBI PO mock question papers as you can. This will develop confidence in your performance and you will be familiar/ comfortable with pattern asked in SBI PO Prelims exam.

Tips and Tricks to crack SBI PO Prelims 2017 exam

During SBI PO 1 month preparation, you need to make sure you follow the points given below:

  • We suggest you to be thorough with the SBI PO exam pattern followed by your SBI PO preparation strategy. Make sure you stick to the strategy and don’t violate it.
  • Make sure that you haven’t missed out any of the SBI important topics and have covered almost 90 percent of the syllabus.
  • All the sections are equally important and require equal attention and hard work. Don’t overdo any section.
  • Practice as much as you can! The more you will practice, the more capable you will be score good.
  • Make quick notes while studying which will help you in your revision times. Prepare sticky notes of important formulae and tricks and paste them. Take a look at those on regular basis and you will be able to remember them.
