The Chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification for re- exam due to malpractice and technical breakdowns reported in 14 centres out of about 351 centres during the SSC CGL Tier II 2016 exam.

Cut- off marks is the total marks required to qualify a level or phase of an exam. SSC CGL Tier II Cut off marks is based on some factors like difficulty level of papers, number of candidates, number of vacancies etc. It varies from different categories and states. Let us take a look at the SSC CGL Tier 2 2015 and 2016 cut- off marks:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2015: Expected Cut – off Marks:

The cut off marks will be based on the marks obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II and as per cut off marks fixed by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

i) List-I: All Interview Posts;

ii) List-II: Statistical Investigator/Compiler and;

iii) List-III: All non-interview posts

List I: Candidates who qualified for all interviews posts (other than the post of Statistical Investigator/ Compiler)

In addition to the number of UR candidates shown, 798 OBC, 36 SC and 10 ST candidates are also satisfying the cut-off for UR category. These candidates have been shown in their respective categories.

List II: Candidates who qualified for all the post of Statistical Investigator/ Compiler

Note: *There is no vacancy for ST category.

List III: Candidates who qualified for all non- interview posts

In addition to the number of UR candidates shown, 2354 OBC, 126 SC and 31 ST candidates are also satisfying the cut-off for UR category. These candidates have been shown in their respective categories.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Tier- II examination 2016 is scheduled from November 30. The candidates can check the official notification of the SSC CGL Tier II exam on the official website of SSC. The SSC CGL Tier 2 examination will be as per the following pattern based on different posts:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2016: Pattern

SSC CGL Tier 2 will be an objective type paper. 

The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam dates  and Shift timings are as follows: 

On Day 1, i.e exam commencement date - 30 October 2016 - there paper 1 of Quantitative Aptitude and paper 2 of English Language will be conducted in two shifts. The slot time/shift timing for paper 1 will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Paper 2 will  start at 2.45 PM and end by 4.45 PM . Similar exam schedule will be followed for SSC CGL tier 2 on the second day( 1st December).  On Day 3 i. e 2nd December 2016,  optional papers of Statistics (Paper -3) will be conducted from 10 AM to 12 PM and General Studies (Paper -4) will be conducted from 2.45 PM to 4.45 PM. The final day (3rd December) will have only one shift , which is afternoon shift for Paper 4.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruits candidates on annual basis for the posts of ‘SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D’. The process of recruitment is of two separate steps:

1. A written level examination

2. A skill test with requirement of typing speed of 100 w.p.m (for SSC Stenographer grade C) and 80 w.p.m (for SSC Stenographer grade D).

• The minimum qualification is 12^th Standard pass or any other equivalent examination from a recognized institution.

• The criteria of age limit of the candidate must be in between 18 - 27 years as on 1^st August 2016.
