SSC MTS Exam Syllabus 2017

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released recruitment for the post of MTS (Multitasking) 2017 id various departments. This is an All India level examination for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2017. The candidate needs to be aware of the syllabus, pattern and prepare accordingly. It is due to be conducted on 16th April, 30th April and 5th May 2017 by the recruitment authority of Staff Selection Commission.

SSC MTS exam is conducted in 2 stages, paper I is objective type and paper II is descriptive.

SSC MTS Exam Syllabus Tier I:

This paper is an objective type of 150 questions for 150 Marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 per each wrong answer. The topics in this exam are:

• General Intelligence and Reasoning
• Numerical Aptitude
• General Awareness
• English Language

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

The topics under this are Similarities and differences, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Observation, Relationship concepts, Figure classification, Arithmetical Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Arithmetic Computation, Analytical Functions etc.

SSC MTS has Numerical Aptitude:
Subjects in Paper I which are Number Systems, Computation Of Whole Numbers, Decimals And Fractions And Relationship Between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit And Loss, Discount, Use Of Tables And Graphs, Mensuration, Time And Distance, Ratio And Time, Time And Work, Etc.

General Awareness:

Questions related to general awareness that’s applicable in the society. It is to test the knowledge related to the current affairs, everyday updates, and scientific development around us. The test will have questions from History. Indian Constitution, Books, Culture, Awards and Honors, Current Affairs – National & International, Current events, Geography, Important Days Sports and Games, General Politics, Books and Authors, Economic Scene, Abbreviations, Science – Inventions & Discoveries, Important Financial & Economic News.

English Language:

Test of English language is to check the understanding of the basics of English language by the candidate. This section has questions based on vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. by which his/her writing ability would be tested.

SSC MTS Exam Syllabus Tier II:

Paper-II is of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT. This will be fixed by the Commission.

Paper II tests in written skills of the candidate in Short essay/Letter in English or any language included in the 8^th schedule of the commission.

The exam pattern of SSC MTS 2017 Exam is given below. Candidates must be aware of the pattern as well as syllabus thoroughly and an excellent preparation to make a successful attempt. This Exam will be conducted in 2 shifts.
