Eligibility for each post:

•    Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD – BE / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
•    Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD – BE / B.Tech. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
•    Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts – BE / B.Tech. / 3 Years of Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
•    Junior Engineer (Electrical), Department of Posts – BE / B.Tech. / 3 Years of Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
•    Junior Engineer (Civil), MES – BE / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or 3 Yrs Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute and with 2 Years of Work Experience in Civil Engineering.
•    Junior Engineer  (Electrical and Mechanical), MES – B.E / B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Or 3 Years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute and with 2 Years work experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering works.
•    Junior Engineer (QS & S) MES – B.E / B.Tech. / 3 Years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute Or Passed Intermediate Examination and Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub-divisional – II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India).
•    Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), Central Water Commission – B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.

Age Limit:

• Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), Central Water Commission & CPWD – Not exceeding 32 Years.
• Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical), Department of Post and Junior Engineer (Surveying and Contract), MES – 18 to 27 Years.
• Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES – Not exceeding 30 Years.
• For the reserved categories, there is no age relaxation or upper age limit as per the Government rules.

SSC JE (Civil, Mech, Elect.) Selection Procedure:

Paper 1 Written Examination – This is an objective type paper conducted for 200 Marks and is an online examination. Negative marking 0f 0.25 marks per incorrect answer is applicable in this paper.

Paper 2 Written Examination – Conventional Type paper conducted for 300 Marks (Offline Mode).
