SSC JE Exam 2016 Date Postponed – Check Re-Scheduled Dates Here

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Junior Engineer Engineer (civil, mechanical, electrical, quantity surveying and contract) recruitment exam 2016 scheduled to be held on December 8, 9 and 12

In the latest notification, the Commission has announced that the computer based examination for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE) will be held towards the end of this month. However, the exact dates for the SSC JE examination is not released yet.

SSC JE 2016 Exam Overview

• Junior Engineer (Mechanical)

• Junior Engineer (Electrical)

• Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)

• Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying and Contract)

Participating Authorities :Central Water Commission, Department of Post, CPWD and MES

SSC JE 2016 Number of Vacancies: 1100 (Approximately)

Description of SSC JE 2016-17 exam

• SSC JE 2016-17 exam will consist of two papers : Paper-I and II.

• There will be no 'Interview' for SSC JE 2016 - 7 recruitment.

• Candidates who qualify in Paper I as per the desired cutoff fixed by the Commission will appear for Paper-II.

• Final Selection will be made on the basis of merit in written examination (Paper-I and II) only.

SSC JE Paper-II

1. Paper-II of  SSC JE 2016 will be of conventional type carrying total 300 marks. 

2. The candidates will have to choose subjects/sections as per their area of interest in this paper. 

3. There will be three subjects- Civil & Structural or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in Paper-II.The candidates will have to appear for only one.
