SSC CHSL 2016 :Revised Application Submission Date and Age Limit (Notification)

Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level exam every year. More than 1 million candidates attend SSC CHSL exam every year. This post is also known as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Data Entry Operator(DEO). This is a junior level post dealing with clerical work, entering data on computer, keeping track of all the documents.

The notification regarding SSC CHSL exam 2016 has been released on October 8. The last date for applying was November 11.

Revised Apply dates for SSC CHSL 2016 exam :

The last date for submission of application has been extended by 14 days. Now it will be updated by November 25, 2016 till 5 pm. The mode of applying will be online only. All the other mode of application will be rejected.

Revised Age limit for applying to SSC CHSL exam :

The commission has revised the age limit criteria in order to apply for the CHSL(10+2) exam 2016.

The new age limit is as follows:

• The Notice mentions that the age limit will be calculated based on 01-01-2017.

• The Cutoff is based on the DoP&T’s instruction. A number of have been received by the Commission for relaxation in the cut off date to 01.08.2016.

• The interest of the candidates, the Commission has accepted the proposal to allow the candidates fulfilling the age criteria as on 01-08-2016.

• The candidates meeting the age criteria as on 01.08.2016 and also on 01-01-2017 are eligible for applying.
