SSC CHSL Skill Test for DEO/ Data Entry Operators

It is mandatory for every candidate (who has applied for the post of Data Entry Operator) to go through the SSC CHSL Skill test after qualifying the written exam.

  • A total of 15 minutes typing time is allowed to the candidate in this examination.

  • Data entry speed of 8000 key depressions on a computer per hour should be maintained by the candidate.

  • The speed would be calculated only based on the correct/right spelled words typed.

SSC CHSL Typing Test for the LDC/ Lower Division Clerk

All those who have applied for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts need to go through SSC CHSL typing test after passing the written test.

  • The candidates can choose either Hindi or English as their language for this typing test.

  • The test would be taken on a computer and need to specify which language they are interested to give the typing test while filling the application form.

  • Candidates who will opt for English would have to achieve typing speed of 35 words per minute in order to qualify.

  • Candidates who will opt for the Hindi language as the option need to achieve typing speed of 30 words per minute to qualify.
