CGL exam 2016 is an offline entrance examination which is made of three major phases, which are given for your better understanding.  

  • SSC CGL Tier-I Examination  
  • SSC CGL Tier-II Examination  
  • Face to face Interview

Important things that you must know about SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier-II Examinations

  • Exam Type: Both are multiple choice objective type exams. 
  • Marking Scheme in both the examinations: There is one mark for each right answer.
  • Negative Marking: Yes, there is negative marking in SSC CGL Examinations.
  • In CGL Tier-I exam, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • In CGL Tier-II exam, 0.50 marks deduction for every wrong answer in Quantitative Aptitude section and 0.25 marks deduction for every wrong answer in English section.
