• One needs to allocate more time and preparation for GK when compared to other two sections. It consumes 50% of the marks. Hence, plan your schedule accordingly to cover the GK and Current affairs. This section tests your ability to answer the questions related to Indian and World Geography, Physical Geography, Indian and World History, International Organizations, Science, Awards and honors, Indian Politics & Economy, Constitution and Miscellaneous GK. There are various sites that provide previous years’ papers, you can particularly refer to the GK section.
• First complete the easier topics and later prepare for the topics which are difficult.
• Time Management is critical because, if you calculate according to the duration of the examination and the number of questions, the candidate has about 54 seconds to accurately answer so to get a good score.
• Check the previous years’ papers and solve them on a regular basis. It is important to refer to back dated exam question papers and solve because, your speed and accuracy can be approved. On evaluating yourself, you can check where a lag is and which area is eating up your time. Prepare a list of such topics and allocate separate schedule to cover those areas.
• Sample papers always help you enhance your preparation. There will be many online tests papers relevant to the competitive exam.
