Candidates can apply for CTET July Session through Online Mode from the

  • Students applying for Primary Teacher must have cleared 12th standard with at least 50% marks. Also, know the complete CTET Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam.
  • For the CTET Application Fee, candidates have to pay a minimum of INR 700. If someone wants to appear for both papers, they have to pay INR 1200 for General/OBC candidates for CTET Application
  • The CTET Application form correction 2019 window will be open after a few days of the completion of the online process.

CTET Application Form 2020-Important Requirements

  • Go through the Information Bulletin in the CTET Website and carefully read through the entire requirements
  • Check for the Eligibility Criteria beforehand
  • Write Complete Mailing Address including the Postal PIN Code at time of applying

  • Fill the Online Application Form and choose a password.

Password Policy is as follows-

  • Password must be 8 to 13 characters long
  • Password should have at least 1 Uppercase Alphabet,1 Lowercase Alphabet,1 Numeric Value and at least 1 special characters-!@$#%*&-
  • password can be changed after login but it cannot be identical to last three passwords
  • Disclosure or Sharing of the password is prohibited

  • You may review or edit the form if necessary

  • The Review Page will contain the following details-

  • After successful submission of the form, a registration No./Application No. Use this Application/Registration Number and Password for further login gets generated.

  • Log In again to fill the CTET Application Form. Check for the details asked in the application form from the following table given below-

  • You need to fill up your educational Qualification details as well and then click the 'Submit' Tab-

  • Candidates should Log Out after the end of each session so that the application cannot be tampered by unauthorized persons

Step 2- Online Uploading of Scanned Images

  • Uploading of Scanned images and signature are mandatory
  • Images must be in JPEG/JPG Format
  • Size of the Photo has to be between 10 to 100 KB
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width)x 4.5 cm(height)
  • Size of scanned Signature has to be between 3 to 30 KB

Aspirants are advised to upload the scanned images of the latest photographs and signatures to avoid inconvenience.

Step 3- Pay CTET Application Fee

GST as applicable will be charged extra by the bank. The application fee will not be refunded once paid. The fee as per the All India Category is given below in this article.

  • Students can pay the fee in offline (eChallan in Syndicate Bank/ Canara Bank) and online mode (debit/credit card/net banking)

CTET Application Form Correction 2020

The Application Form Correction Dates from March 17th,2020 to March 23rd,2020. The candidates can make corrections/edits in their CTET Application Form. The form correction link will be activated after a few days of the completion of the CTET 2020 online process. Candidates cannot make any corrections in the form via offline (fax/ application) or online (email) mode. They have to wait for the CTET application correction link to be activated to make changes Students can make changes in the following areas:

Date of birth Category Differently-abled category
Paper opted A subject for Paper-II The first choice of Centre

When is the CTET Exam conducted?

CTET Exam is conducted twice every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Mostly, the exam takes place in July & December. 

This year, the second CTET Exam is taking place on December 08, 2019. Students who want to write the paper can fill the form, to apply, till September 25, 2019, on the official website of CTET. 

How can I apply for the CTET Exam?

In order to apply for CTET, students must first check their eligibility. Any student who does not fulfill the eligibility conditions must not fill the application form.

Is there any age-limit considered to apply for the CTET Exam?

No, there is no age limit applicable to apply for the CTET Exam. The candidates must have done 10th+2 in order to apply for the Primary Teacher Application. Those who want to apply for the secondary teacher must have qualified B.Ed. But there is no age-wise restriction to apply for this exam. 

Is there any negative marking applicable in the CTET Exam?

There is absolutely no negative marking applicable in the CTET Exam. Students will be given 1 mark for each correct response in the paper.

How many marks are required in order to qualify the CTET Exam?

Students must score 60% marks in the paper (or more) in order to be considered PASS. This is one of the qualifying criteria, this does not mean one will be recruited officially. There are other criteria which are to be satisfied by the aspirants in order to get proper hiring in a school as a teacher. 

How many attempts can I give for the CTET Exam?

There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for CTET Exam. Students can write the paper as many times as they want. The exam takes place two times a year. If one time, one has not cleared, they can appear in the next session.

Will I be given a certificate if I clear the CTET paper?

Yes, the certificate will be given if one clears the CTET Exam. Students must know that the certificate will be valid for the next 7 years from the date of result declaration.
