SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis – July 3, 2016 - Overall Analysis , Slot wise Analysis and Expected cut off for Day 2

State Bank of India has successfully conducted day 2 of the prelims exam for the post of 2200 Probationary Officers.

Some highlights for the Exam pattern followed in the preliminary exam are as follows:

• The Preliminary examination is an objective type examination where the candidates need to select one correct option out of given four options.

• The total mark of the exam is 100.

• For every correct response provided, the candidates would be awarded 1 mark and for every wrong response 0.25 mark will be deducted. However, no mark will be deducted for no response.

• The test would be conducted online.

• The total time duration is 60 minutes or 1 hour.

• There will be sectional cutoffs in each section which the candidates need to clear.

The Exam was conducted in following shifts:

Slot 1 : 9 – 10 AM (Morning Shift)

Slot 2: 11.30 – 12.30 AM (Morning Shift)

Slot 3: 2 – 3 PM (Evening Shift)

Slot 4: 4.30 – 5.30 PM (Evening Shift)

SBI PO Prelims 2016 –Day 2 Analysis

The SBI PO Prelims consist of following sections: English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The day of the exam is over.

Here we present overall analysis, questions asked in different sections and expected cut off for the exam.​

(A) English Language : In this section, a total 30 questions were asked. The question level was moderate.

1.Reading Comprehension – 10 Qs –RC was based on Women

2.Cloze test –5 Qs(Easy)Technology

3.Parajumble – 5 QS(Moderate)

4.Spotting Error –5 Qs (Moderate)

5.Fill in the blanks – 5 Qs(Easy) Double filler

(B) Reasoning Ability : In this section, a total 35 questions were asked. The question level was moderate to tough.

1.Puzzle –5 Qs-(Moderate) 7 people work in 3 differentcompanies& likes

2. Puzzle –5 Qs(Moderate)

3.Linear Puzzle –5 Qs– (Tough) 8 people sitting and facing North South in same line

4.Seating Arrangement (Circular) – 5 Qs (Easy)

5.Puzzle – 5 Qs (Moderate) –  7 people boxes

6.Inequality – 5 Qs (direct)

7.Ranking test –3 Qs(Easy )

8. Blood Relation –2 Qs (Moderate)

There were no questions from syllogism and coding/decoding in SBI PO Prelims July 3 exam.

(C) Quantitative Aptitude: In this section, a total 35 questions were asked. The question level was moderate.

1. Number Series –5 Qs (Moderate)

2. Data Interpretation –2 set (10 Qs)–One Bar Grpah DI was easy & Table graph based Data anaysis ( Moderate)

3.Approximation – 5 Qs(Easy)

4. Quadratic Equation – 5 Qs(Easy)

5.Miscellaneous – 10 Qs (Moderate)

Safe Attempts :  If you attempt following questions correctly, you are in a safe zone.

1.English Language : 20 – 22

2.Reasoning Ability : 15 – 20

3.Quantitative Aptitude : 22 – 25

SBI PO Prelims 2016 Expected Cut off marks : Category-wise cut off , Section wise cut off for July 3 Exam
