SBI PO Mains – 31^st July 2016 Exam Analysis, Question Paper Review & Expected Cutoff

SBI PO Mains 2016 Exam is conducted on 31^st July 2016 in a single slot . The exam was for about three and half hours from 10am to 1.30 pm . SBI PO Mains 2016 had two parts –

·         OBJECTIVE TEST

·         DESCRIPTIVE TEST

Both the SBI PO Mains 2016 descriptive and objective sections were held online for about carrying 200 marks test for Objective section of the exam and for 50 marks was the descriptive section of the exam.

- SECTION - General Awareness (Banking + Economy)

This section of the SBI PO Mains 2016 exam was not too tough. There were questions related to current affairs which was so general not from banking domain.

Eg. First women who climbed Mount Everest.

Then the other questions of this section was from banking domain relation to the general things one must know about the banks like their headquarters, credit limit etc . So those who prepare for 2017 SBI PO Mains must keep such data collected from official site of all bank networks.

                                            - SECTION – English Language 

This section of the SBI PO Mains 2016 exam was very tough. There were questions related to general language testing like antonyms , synonyms , combining sentence using starter .Sections which was not present in today’s exam  was Parajumbles , Cloze Test & Spotting Error. But 2017 SBI PO Mains aspirants don’t think to avid these sections as it can be asked next time.

·         10-12 Questions were there from 2 sets of Comprehension Reading based on China’s Economy .

·         7 questions from Antonyms & Synonyms but it was tough indeed .

·         5 Questions to combine 2 sentences and make correct sentence using a Starter .This was also tough.

·         5 Questions to fill up the sentences in passage which was also tough section.

This section of the SBI PO Mains 2016 detailed Exam review states that it was very tough.

          - SECTION - Reasoning & Computer Aptitude

This section of the SBI PO Mains 2016 exam was very tough. Questions were from –

• Puzzle – It was tough containing 5 questions  -7 people belongs to different cities & different profession.
• Sitting Arrangement - It was also tough containing 5 questions - 10 People sitting North South but total seats was 12 and two seats were vacant.
• Input Output - It was a tough section containing 5 questions - Double shifting.
• Inequality –This was a section which was comparatively better than other sections. Moderate section with 5 questions.
• Data sufficiency – Having 3to5 moderate questions, this was also a good section to score.
• Number Coding – This section had 5 questions .
• Coding Decoding Section – About 3 to 5 questions were asked from this section.
• Logical Reasoning – This was the section on- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude with majority number of question .From this section about 15 questions was asked.
• • COMPUTER APTITUTE SECTION – In this part questions were asked based on the given flowchart.

                                     - SECTION – Data Analysis & Interpretation

• his section of the SBI PO Mains 2016 exam was a tough level to crack.

• 20 Tough Questions from the sections having 5 questions from each section like – Double Pie chart (5), Double Line chart (5), Missing DI (5) , Bar Graph (5).
• 5 Questions from data sufficiency
• 5 Questions from  Quadratic equation
• 3 Questions which are combined on time and work .
• 3 Questions from section Probability.

Exam Pattern of SBI PO Main 2016 (Descriptive section)

Descriptive Test of SBI PO Main 2016 was allotted 30 mins time carrying out 2 sections of questions –

• Letter Writing
•  Essay Writing.

This section had 3 options from which candidate were supposed to write just one. This was also online mode of exam .

1 Essay of 300 words and 1 letter of 150 words in 30 mins was the complication of this particular section.

Expected Cutoff for SBI PO MAINS 2016 & Good attempt

On average the expected cutoff this time for SBI PO mains exam 2016  is about 75-80 marks .

On average the Good attempt this time for SBI PO mains exam 2016  would be 95.
