RBI or the Reserve Bank of India has invited applications for the post of “Assistant”. There are vacancies for 623 posts across offices of RBI across India.

Important Dates for RBI Assistant Recruitment notification 2017:

Salary and Emoluments RBI Assistant Recruitment notification 2017: Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14650/- per month (i.e. ₹ 13150 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates) in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years) and other allowances , viz Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately ₹ 32528/- including House Rent Allowance @ of 15%.

Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks

Age Limit for RBI assistant Recruitment 2017:

Candidates must be between the age of 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/10/1989 and not later than 01/10/1997 (both days including) are eligible to apply.

Examination Paper Pattern for RBI assistant Recruitment notification 2017:

Phase I- Preliminary Examination:

Phase II – Main Examination:

Phase III- Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – The candidates who qualify in the mains exam will to undergo language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the concerned state. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified. The mains exam will be conducted bilingually in both English and Hindi. Candidates have to pass in each objective tests of the online examination. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will appear for the mains examination. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective tests in both the preliminary and mains exam. Candidates will lose 0.25 or 1/4th marks for every wrong answer.
