Dear Aspirants,

Hope you are doing good! The IBPS RRB examination 2016 is doing pretty well with the examination held on 6th of November 2016. The timings of the 2nd and 3rd slots were 10: 30 AM onwards (slot 2) and 12: 00 PM onwards (slot 3).

The IBPS RRB examination on 6th November 2016 was supposed to be conducted in five slots. Hence, we bring you the complete analysis of 2nd and 3rd slots of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I examination conducted on 6th November 2016.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Prelims 2016 (Slot 2): Section- wise Analysis

Let us go through the analysis of the individual sections:

(A) Quantitative Aptitude:

(i) Good Attempts- If you attempt (26 to 32) number of questions, you can easily pass through the cut off marks

(ii) Difficulty level: The level of difficulty of this section can be stated as (Easy-Moderate).

  • Number Series – 5 Questions (Moderate) (Based on the same pattern as that of the previous slots)
  • Approximation/ Simplification – 5 Questions (Easy )
  • Data Interpretation (3 Sets) – 15 Questions (Easy to Moderate) (Calculative) Tabular graph ((based on the production of 2 companies M and N in different years), Pie Chart (Based on the percentage and ratio of Assistant Professors and Professors in a college) , Bar graph 
  • Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions (Easy)
  • Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions (Moderate)     
    The miscellaneous questions were asked from the following topics– Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Time & Work, etc.

(B) Reasoning Ability:

(i) Good Attempts- If you attempt (22 to 27) number of questions, you can easily pass through the cut off marks

(ii) Difficulty level: The level of difficulty of this section can be stated as (Moderate).

  • Syllogism – 5 Questions (Easy)
  • Inequality – 5 Questions (Easy)      
  • Puzzle – (Floor) 10 Questions(Easy) (based on floor arrangement – 9 people on 9 different floors) , (person watching 7 different movies on different days of the week week)
  • Seating Arrangement – Square – 5 Questions (Moderate) (8 people sitting on corners of a square, some facing outside and some facing inward)
  • Linear Seating Arrangement – 5 Questions(Easy)
  • Direction – 2 Questions(Easy)
  • Blood Relation – 3 questions(Easy)
  • Miscellaneous Questions – 5 Questions (Easy to Moderate) (Alphabetical Series, Coding – Decoding etc.)

  • Direction – 2 Questions(Easy)
  • Blood Relation – 3 questions(Easy)
  • Miscellaneous Questions – 5 Questions (Easy to Moderate) (Alphabetical Series, Coding – Decoding etc.)

overall the exam is moderate. some questions are dam easy but some are time consuming, puzzles look easy but it take time to solve. better first attempt simplifications, number series, and di in quant while in reasoning syllogisms , inequalities, blood relations,(question is wrong) directions than after puzzles ( floor, week , linear, circular). good luck to all who are going to take the exam
