(A) Quantitative Aptitude/ Numerical Aptitude:

2. A man bought a second hand desktop and a laptop for Rs. 108000. He sold the desktop at a gain of 20% and the desktop at a loss of 10%, thereby gaining 5% overall. Find the cost price of desktop?

3. In a regular week, there are 6 working days and for each day the working hours are 8. A man gets Rs. 55 per hour for regular work and Rs. 40 per hour for overtime. If he earns Rs. 10,000 in 5 weeks, then how many hours does he work for?

4. A farm owner wants to get his farm painted. He is told that this would require 25 kg of paint. Allowing for 8.5% wastage and if the paint is available in 5.5 kg tins, the number of tins required for painting the house?

(B) Reasoning Ability:

1. Rohit starts walking from a point in south direction. After walking for 10 m he turned to his left and walked 5 m. Now he turned in opposite direction and walked 12 m before turning to left again. Next he walked 4 m and again turned to his left and stops after walking 6m. Find the distance from his starting point.

2. In the question below are given four statements followed by conclusions. You have to take the given statement to be true if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically not follows from the given statements.

Statements:

Some stools are tables
All stools are chairs
No sofa is fan

Conclusions:
I. No stool is fan
II. Some stools are not fan
III. All sofas are stools
IV. Some stools are not sofas

(A) Reasoning:

1. Raman starts walking from a point in south direction. After walking for 25 m he turned to his left and walked 10 m. Now he turned in opposite direction and walked 15 m before turning to left again. Next he walked 5m and again turned to his left and stops after walking 6m. Find the distance from his starting point.

2. Pointing to a woman, Tariq said, “Her granddaughter is the only daughter of my brother.” How is the woman related to Tariq?

(B) Quantitative Aptitude/ Numerical Aptitude:

1. A hollow iron pipe is 18 cm long and its external diameter is 9 cm. If the thickness of the pipe is 3 cm and iron weighs 9 g/cm3, then what is the weight of the pipe?
