IBPS PO VI 2016 Prelims Exam Analysis – 16th October (4th Slot)

IBPS PO 2016 VI Pre Exam 4th slot held between 3:30 - 4:30 pm. The level of the exam seemed to be Easy - Moderate.

Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) is conducting the preliminary exam for the selection of Probationary Officers. IBPS PO will be conducted in Prelims and Mains stage followed by an interview. It is important to clear each phase to be eligible for appearing the next phase. The exam is conducted in four slots as shown below:

IBPS PO Prelims 2016 will be held in these four slots on 16 , 22, 23 and 27 October. The result of IBPS PO 2016 Prelims will be announced in the first week of November.

English Section:. English is a most common paper for all competitive exam. IBPS PO Prelims English section intends to check the grammar and its usage, Vocabulary and also the reading comprehension. You need to be a good reader to score well in this section. You can easily score in the English section. Questions are asked from important topics such as Vocabulary questions ( synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, word formation etc.), comprehension passage, theme detection, grammar Portion – spelling, sentence , set of rules active passive voice, indirect direct speech, articles, preposition, phrases and idioms, sentence Improvement, spotting error questions. one Word word substitution and fill in the Blanks etc.

Difficulty Level: The English paper was of Moderate level.

Good Attempts: An attempt of 16 - 18 questions will better your chance to clear the cut off.

Quantitative Aptitude Section: Quant section requires a lot of practice. IBPS PO Prelims Quant section will be time consuming so it needs a proper approach and strategy to clear the section. Take a look at each type of questions that are generally asked in the previous years. Some common topics of quantitative aptitude section includes Number series, approximation, profit and loss, average, quadratic equation, time and work, data interpretation, probability and geometry.

Difficulty Level: The Quantitative paper was of Easy - Moderate level.

Good Attempts: An attempt of 20 - 22 questions will better your chance to clear the cut off.

Reasoning Ability Section: IBPS PO Prelims exam reasoning section tests logical ability. It needs a lot of thinking. A clear concept will help you score maximum marks for the reasoning ability section. Topics such as Syllogism, puzzle, sitting arrangement, coding and decoding, blood relation, puzzle etc., are common in this section.

Difficulty Level: The Reasoning paper was of Easy - Moderate level.

Good Attempts: An attempt of 17 - 19 questions will better your chance to clear the cut off.
