  1. What is the eligibility criteria required for IBPS PO 2016 Exam?

It is recommended that you must go through the laid down eligibility criteria to check whether you are eligible to give this exam or not. Here are the full fledged eligibility details of IBPS PO Exam 2016 against which you can check your acceptability for the exam:

  • Nationality required for the IBPS PO Exam 2016: A candidate must be either:

          -  a Citizen of India or

          -  a subject of Nepal or

         -  a subject of Bhutan or

         -  a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

         -  a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

  • Required Qualifications for the IBPS PO Exam 2016: Candidate must have passed graduation or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university or college or central government as on 1st August, 2016. There is no percentage criteria; candidate must show his/her passing degree when asked or at the time of interview process.
  • Age Limit for the IBPS PO Exam 2016: The minimum age for IBPS PO Exam 2016 is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years as on 1st July, 2016.

  1. Is there any upper age relaxation allowed in IBPS PO Exam 2016?

Yes, upper age relaxation is allowed by IBPS on the basis of category to which a candidate belongs. The given table provides you details on upper age limit relaxation:

  1. Is IBPS PO Exam 2016 registration process online or offline?

The Process of registration for IBPS PO Exam 2016 will be only through online mode. Candidates are supposed to go through one time registration process and that will be eligible for both Preliminary and Main examination.

  1. What is the structure of the Exam pattern of IBPS PO Exam 2016?

IBPS PO Exam 2016 shall be conducted into three important phases as mentioned above. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify all the three phases to finally get placed in the banking sector.

  1. Is there any negative marking in IBPS PO Exam 2016?

Yes, there is negative marking scheme applicable for both the Preliminary and Main PO CWE (Common Written Examination) 2016.

For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.

In case there is no answer provided, then there will not be any negative marking for that answer.

  1. Can I use a scribe?

What are the guidelines for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) using a scribe?

Yes, candidates that are visually impaired or cannot write the examinations due to any reason can use a scribe for the IBPS PO Examinations.

The applicable guideline/rule in case scribe is being used for IBPS PO Exam 2016 are given below:

      -  Candidate has to arrange his/her own scribe.

      -  Scribe cost shall be shared by the candidate.

      -  The scribe can be from any academic background.

      -  Scribe cannot be more than one candidate.

      -  Scribe and candidate who are taking the exam together are supposed to write an undertaking confirming about the eligibility of the scribe.

     -  Candidates who are equipped with scribe shall be allowed 20 more minutes for every online examination.

     -  On later stages if it is found that scribe didn’t fulfill his/her eligibility will lead to the cancellation in candidature of the applicant.

     -  Scribe must not be a candidate of IBPS PO CWE Examination.

     -  Person seeking scribe facility must specify the same while filling IBPS PO Exam 2016 form carefully.

Here are some of the important documents that must be carried because in absence of any of these, candidates shall not be allowed to give IBPS PO preliminary as well as Main Exam.

-  Valid Call letter of the respective date and session of the examination issued to you.

-  ID proof as mentioned in the call letter or mentioned in the application form.

-  Photocopy of the ID proof that you will carry must be carried along.

Important things to follow/remember are:

-  Reach 1 or 2 hours before the examination time so that other online formalities for the exam are done on time. Candidate reaching
