SSC CGL Tier 1 exam: Prepare and Prosper in 10 days

SSC CGL Tier 1 Preparation Tips:

First of all you need to understand the syllabus.

Next step is to gather all the study materials ready for the exam.

Day 1: Make it a habit to go through daily GK and current affairs from online websites, newspapers, magazines etc. Take GK practice papers daily.

Day 2: Download previous years paper and solve it. Take a look at the questions asked and observe pattern carefully.

Day 3 & 4: Practice topics in Quantitative aptitude section. Following Topics are covered under SSC quant section:

  • Algebra

  • Basic Maths

  • Trigonometry

  • Percentage

  • Ratio Proportion

  • Average

  • Time and Distance

  • Data Interpretation

  • Geometry

  • Miscellaneous

Take questions from each of these topic and practice as much as you can.

Day 5 & 6: Practice topics in General Intelligence and Reasoning section.

Solve questions from each of these topics with special focus on analogy, classification and Arithmetic number series.

Day 7&8: Practice topics in General English section.

Major topics to be covered are:

  • Rearrange the sentences

  • Find the errors

  • Fill in the blanks

  • Cloze test

It is advisable to keep a dictionary and improve your vocabulary by reading good english magazines, newspapers and articles.

Day 9: You can utilize this day for revision of important topics with the help of short notes etc. Go through all the topics. Clear any doubts before the exam.

Day 10: Utilize this day to take practice mock test papers. Take as much mock test as you can.
