ARIES is based on Nainital, Uttarkhand. They specialise in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Atmospheric Sciences. Every year ARIES also arranges for Summer Internships and other activities for young kids. ARIES Recruitment 2017 - Job Descriptions for each post

Scientist-C

• Age Criteria: Maximum 35 years.
• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics/Astrophysics/Atmospheric Science or equivalent degree with consistently good academic records with minimum 55% marks and Ph. D degree.
• Work Experience: One year Post-Doctoral research experience and good research contribution in the areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Atmospheric Science. Preference will be given to candidates who is having experience in Observations/Instrumentation
• Pay Scale: PB-3 : Rs. 15,600-39,100 +GP Rs. 6600/-

Information Scientist

• Age Criteria: Maximum 35 years.
• Educational Qualification: Educational/Academic Qualifications: Master of Library & Information Science from a recognized University with 55% marks with consistently good academic records.
• Work Experience: In the field of Library & Information Science, preferably in a Library in a scientific/research organization, for 2 years with grade pay of Rs. 4800/- or 3 years with grade pay of Rs. 4600/-.
• Pay Scale: PB-3 : Rs. 15,600-39,100 +GP Rs. 5400/-

Engineering Assistant

• Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years of age
• Educational Qualification: Diploma of 3 years duration in Electrical Engineering from a recognized board with 3 years’ experience in the relevant field.
• Pay Scale: Pay Band: -1, Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP: Rs. 2,800/-

Personal Assistant

• Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years of age.
• Educational Qualification: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized University or its equivalent.
• 2. Speed in short hand @ 80 in English or Hindi.
• 3. The typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer. (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
• Pay Scale: Pay Band-2, Rs. 9,300-34,800 + GP Rs. 4,200/-

Lower Division Clerk

• Age Criteria: Between 18 to 27 years of age.
• Educational Qualification: 1. 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from recognized Board or University.
• 2. Should have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi The typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer. (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
• Pay Scale: PB-1, Rs. 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs. 1,900/-

Consultant (Finance & Accounts)

• Age Criteria: Note more than 65 years.
• Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from recognised University. Preference will be given to SAS qualified
• Work Experience: The applicant should be a retired officer of the level of Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary of the Central Govt./State Govt./Autonomous body or equivalent having experience of handling accounts and finance as per Govt. norms.
• Selection will be on the basis of experience of the applicant in the finance and accounts and a personal interaction with the appropriate authority.
• Other Requirement: The person should be well acquainted with the functioning of Central Govt. Ministries/ PSUs/ autonomous organizations etc
• Remuneration: Consolidated pay of Rs. 45000 per month (Contract basis)

Selection Procedure for ARIES Recruitment 2017

• You will not be selected only on the basis on possessing the required Qualification and Work Experience.
• You will be screened according to your Applications and will be called for a Written Test.
• Information regarding the Written Test will be provided to you b ARIES Selection Committee.
