The selection process will be done by score card of Common Written Examination (CWE). The candidates who have qualified for the exam called for interview round and will get appointment letters.

IBPS PO Allowances

In addition to pay scale, allowances are also offered which include-

Dearness Allowance (DA)- Cost of living adjustment allowance which is paid to govt and public sector Probationary officers. It is revised on a quarterly basis and it is based on consumer price index (CPI). The calculation of DA depends on inflation and it can also go up with higher inflation and come down if the inflation rate is in negative.

HRA- It depends on the place of posting. It can be either 9.0% or 8.0% or 7.0% depending on the place of posting.

Special Allowance – This will add in 10th BPS (wef. 01/11/2012) and for Scale, I 7.75% on which DA is also payable.

CCA – CCA depends on job posting. It can be either 4% (maximum Rs.870/-) or 3% (Maximum Rs.600/-) or 0%

Conveyance allowance – For commute between home and office.

Total three questions were asked in descriptive test in time duration 30 minutes. One essay had to be choose from the given three essay to answer. Essay words maximum length was 200. One essay was: Home and Property Insurance. Comprehension words maximum length was 150, Corporation related Comprehension asked. Precise writing words maximum length was 150. Insurance related Precise writing asked.

  • Interview is applicable for the posts of Officers Scale I, II and III.
  • Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main exam for the post of Officers Scale I and in the single level Examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III will be called for interview. The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks / scores in the interview is 40%. The minimum qualifying marks is 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates
  • Minimum qualifying marks for the post of Officers Scale II and III is 40% for all candidates and it is 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

IBPS Selection procedure 2017 – Document Verification

Provisional Allotment in RRBs will depend on candidates fulfilling all criteria for RRBs and also identity verification. Candidates who do not meet said criteria of identity verification will have their application canceled or forfeited.
