Boeing 747-400 aircraft approves revision of compensation on SESF operations
тЧП        Committee of Economic Affairs of the Union Cabinet has approved 10 percent annual increase for the maintenance of the B-747-400 aircraft.
тЧП        With this, the expenditure on special additional sector flight operations has been increased to Rs 336.24 crore for 2016-17 and tax has been increased to Rs 534.38 crore and tax has been taxed.

тЧП        The Union Cabinet has approved the name of Agartala Airport of Tripura to Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore Airport, Agartala.
тЧП        This decision was taken in the light of the long standing demand of the people of Tripura and tribute to the Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore by Tripura Government.
тЧП        Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore became the king of Tripura state in 1923.


5.99 acres of Armed Forces land to be transferred to Arunachal Pradesh government in Tawang
тЧП        The Union Cabinet has approved the transfer of 5.99 acres of Armed Border force to the Arunachal Pradesh government for construction of mega-festival-cum-multipurpose ground in Tawang.
тЧП        Arunachal Pradesh government identified 5.99 acres of suitable land within SSB campus in Tawang for the construction of mega-festival-cum-multipurpose ground with parking facility (4.73 acres) and ring road construction (1.26 acres).

Ministry of Defense approves 17 new baffle firing range
тЧП        The Ministry of Defense has approved 17 new baffle firing range at an estimated cost of 238 crores in military stations / cantonments / training institutes.
тЧП        From this there will be seven ranges to the Southern Command, three ranges to Eastern Command, two ranges to the Northern Command and one range each to the south-west and central command.
тЧП        This 17 firing range will be in addition to 60 firing ranges in the country.
тЧП        The proposed Baffle firing range will help firing up to 300 to 500 meters.
