Election Commission of India will organize national consultation on accessible elections
●        The Election Commission of India will organize a two-day program on 'National Consultation on accessible elections' in New Delhi from 03 July 2018.
●        It was inaugurated by Mr. O.P., Chief Election Commissioner, in the presence of Election Commissioner Mr. Sunil Arora and Mr. Ashok Lavasa, Election Commissioner. Will be done by Rawat.
●        This program is part of the ECI's endless efforts of 'any voter will not be deprived' with special focus on 'Divyanjanjan'.
 

Inter-session meeting of the Consultative Committee on "Marine Fishing - Mariculture in India" topic
 

●        Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh addressed the people in the inter-session meeting held in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu on July 2, 2018, on "Marine Fisheries in India - Mariculture in India" on the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
●        Ministry of Agriculture has notified "National Maritime Fisheries Policy, 2017", which will provide direction to the development of the marine fisheries sector in the country for next 10 years.
●        For the 'Deep-Sea Fishing Boat', the Central Assistance is being given to the self-help groups / organizations of traditional fishermen upto 50% i.e. upto Rs 40 lakhs per boat.


Consumer price index for industrial workers of May 2018
●        The All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers has increased by 1 point in May, 2018 to 289 points.
●        Based on the change in one month, CPI-IW recorded an increase of 0.35 percent during the period from April, 2018 to May, 2018.
●        The highest rise in the current index has come from the food group which has contributed 0.68 percent to the total change.
 

WAPCOS celebrates 50th raising day
●        Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation, Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Shri Nitin Gadkari, will be the Chief Guest of the 50th Foundation Day of Water and Power Consultancy Services.
●        The establishment day celebration will be held in Delhi's Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra tomorrow.
 
 
44th Advanced Professional Program
 
●        The Union Minister of State for North Eastern Region, Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Atomic Energy and Minister of State for Space, Dr. Jitendra said here today that the direct recruitment of the Joint Secretary level will enrich the government.
●        The 44th Advanced Professional Program for Civil Servants and Officers was speaking in the inaugural address of these public administrations.
●        This selection process will be solely based on the specific needs of Medha and work.


Plans to raise Rs 3,250 crore from 4 companies
 
●        Four companies, including hotel hotels run from 'The Lalit' brand, submitted the documents to the IPO for the market regulator Sebi .
●        The IPO is expected to raise around Rs 3,250 crore by the four companies.
●        Other companies of Raheja Corporation's Hotel Chalet Hotel, Online Marketplace Indiamart Intermesh Ltd. And there are milltec machinery making agricultural processing equipment.
●        Together, these four public issues are expected to raise at least Rs 3,250 crore.


Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol against Neerav Modi
●        Interpol has issued a red corner notice against probing PNB scandal two billion dollars on the CBI's request fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi, his brother Nishal Modi and his staff Subhash Parab.
●        This notice was issued on June 29, but the International Police Cooperation Agency has made it public today.
●        According to him, the smooth transit of Nirav Modi's border will now become difficult and it may be possible to arrest him along the way.

Solicitor General's post vacant since October
 
 
●        Before the 44-day long holidays of the Supreme Court, it was possible to appoint the new Solicitor General of government before reopening, but it did not happen.
●        Law community has expressed concern over this.
●        At present, there are 7 Additional Solicitors General in the apex court, including Maninder Singh, Tushar Mehta, Atmaram Nadkarni, Pinky Anand, Vikramjit Banerjee, Aman Lekhi and Sandeep Sethi.

Exchange of fees related to disconnections through the fourth round of negotiations under the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement
●        The results of the fourth round of talks under the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement between six countries, namely Bangladesh, China, India, Lao PDR, Republic of Korea and Sri Lanka have come into effect from 1 July 2018.
●        The Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement is a special initiative under the UN Escap, which aims at expanding trade through exchanges of tariff concessions among developing countries which are considered as members of the Asia-Pacific region.
●        It is effective since 1975.

EU warns on vehicle tariffs
 
●        The EU has cautioned the US about the threat to impose heavy duty on vehicles.
●        The EU has said that if America does this, then the counter-measures will be taken and this will cause huge damage to the US economy.
●        A letter written to US officials on Friday has been given a strong warning.


Missing Thailand football team secured
●        The location of the youth football team missing 9 days ago in a cave in northern Thailand has been revealed on Monday.
●        A provincial governor told that Thailand Navy Seals has found all the 13 missing people safe.
●        Chiang Rai's governor said that we found him safe, but the operation is not over yet.
●        With this team of Thailand, his coaches also went missing.

Union Home Minister honored 17th World Police and Fire Games -2017 medal winners
●        Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh honored 17th World Police and Fire Games Medal winners in Los Angeles, California, USA on August 7-16, 2017
●        He was the Chief Guest of the function organized by All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB) here today.
●        The 101-member Indian Police Team, 17th World Police and Fire Games returned with record 321 medals.
 

Rahul Dravid becomes the fifth Indian to join the ICC Hall of Fame
●        Rahul Dravid has been included in the International Cricket Council's Hall of Fame.
●        Team India 'A' chief coach Rahul Dravid is the fifth cricketer to receive this honor.
●        Apart from this, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting and former England cricketer Claire Taylor were also given the place in the Hall of Fame.
●        ICC announces the name of Rahul Dravid in a ceremony held in Dublin, Ireland


Wimbledon: Yuki Bhambri loses in first round
●        India's Yuki Bhambri failed to take advantage of a good start and lost out to Italy's player Thomas Fabiano of the lower ranking and went out of the first round in the men's singles of the Wimbledon Tennis Grand Slam Tournament.
●        Bhambri, 85th in the world, won the first set, but after that, he failed to stop the 131nd ranking of Fabiano and lost 6-2, 3-6, 3-6, 2-6.
 
 
Indian junior hockey team beat Bangladesh by 6-3
 
●        Indian junior hockey team scored third consecutive win by defeating Bangladesh by 6-3 on Monday in the third practice match.
●        In the match played at the Center Center here, the Indian team made an edge over Raj Kumar Pal's field goal in the third minute of the match.
●        However, in the 11th minute, Rashid Mahmood made the goalkeeper return to Bangladesh.

200 Companies got served Notice for giving Low GST
●        The Indirect Tax Department has issued notices to around 200 companies whose exact goods and services tax was not deposited.
●        The disclosures made in data mining have been known to underworize these companies or to sell the goods in cash to the customers.
