IGNCA will start 5 PG diploma courses and 6 new certificate courses in art culture and related subjects.
●        Under the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India, the prestigious Art Association of India- Indira Gandhi National Arts Center has decided to start 5 Diploma Courses and 6 new Certificate Courses in Arts and Culture and related subjects.
●        The basic purpose of these courses is the use of Information Technology to create art and culture with all dimensions and to develop the design of the subject-matter search system.
 
 
ICAT issues first BS-VI engine certificate
●        ICAT has completed the first BS-VI certification for a huge engine model for M / s Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle Limited.
●        This engine has been built and developed in India by Volvo Eicher.
●        With the completion of the engine compliance test very long before the execution date of April 01, 2020, it will get enough time for product stabilization to make it more robust and economical for the ultimate consumers.
 
Notification for enabling planned development of privately owned land in Delhi
●        Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has notified the notification to enable the planned development of private owned land in Delhi.
●        The policy of enabling planned development of private owned land in Delhi was approved by the Authority in a meeting organized on 21.12.2017 and it was also broadcasted to all ULBs and other government agencies.
 

Uttarakhand High Court gave rights to all living organism same as human beings
●        Uttarakhand High Court has declared the citizens of the state as their local guardians by giving them legal status like human beings to safeguard the air, water and living organisms.
●        The High Court has said that the vehicles used by animals are not used in the machine so they will have the right to get the road before other vehicles.
 
 
Dope test of government employees made mandatory in Punjab
 
●        Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on 4th July 2018 ordered all government employees, including the policemen, from the time of their recruitment to perform compulsory dope tests at every level of their service.
●        The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to work in this regard and issue necessary notifications in this regard.
●        In all cases of recruitment and promotion, the Chief Minister ordered the investigation of intoxicants in the body inevitably.
 

Coal Ministry launches satellite-based mobile app to prevent coal theft
 
●        Central Coal Minister Piyush Goyal has launched a satellite-based mobile app to prevent coal theft on 4th July 2018.
●        This will monitor 787 coal blocks of the country. Its constantly monitoring coal companies and district administrations.
●        This will add new dimension to morality and transparency in the coal sector.
●        Presently, special cell has been established by CCL for 24 hours surveillance.
 
 
Justice L. Narasimha appointed Chairman of Central Administrative Tribunal
 
●        Former Chief Justice of Patna High Court Justice L Narasimha Reddy has been appointed as the Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal.
●        Justice (Retd) Reddy took charge on 04 July 2018.
●        The appointment letter was issued to them on 27th June.

Ayushman Bharat' scheme implemented in Madhya Pradesh
 
●        In Madhya Pradesh, the 'Ayushman Bharat' scheme of Prime Minister National Health Security Mission will be implemented from August 15, 2018.
●        The State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Health Agency for the implementation of this scheme.
●        The scheme is being claimed to benefit from more than 5.5 crore beneficiaries in the state.


Reserve Bank of India licensed Bank of China to start work in India
 
●        The New Delhi Reserve Bank has issued a license to set up Bank of China to start functioning in India.
●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised this to Chinese President Xi Chunfing.
●        This promise was made in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit last month in Qingdao, China.

Reliance will launch fixed line broadband service
 
●        Mukesh Ambani , chief industrialist and the richest Indian, who has announced the introduction of high-speed fixed line broadband service on Thursday, is calling for free calling and extremely cheap Internet access to the telecom industry .
●        The proposed broadband service will be 'Jio GigaFiber Service' for the common customers and enterprises and its registration will begin on August 15.
●        Giving information in the company's 41st Annual General Meeting, Ambani said that the company will provide this service in 1100 cities.
 


'Happiness Course' started in Government schools in Delhi
 
●        Delhi Government launched happiness course for school children on July 02, 2018.
●        Under this, every class from nursery to eighth grade will start with five minutes 'meditation'.
●        This course includes meditation, moral values and mental exercises for school students.
●        It was launched by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the presence of the Dalai Lama

ISRO successfully tested astronaut rescue system
●        Indian Space Research Organization today demonstrated the main technology to be eligible for a series of astronaut rescue systems.
●        This rescue system is a system of taking astronauts to a safe distance from the test vehicle in case of failure of the test.
●        According to any urgency on the launch pad in the first trial, crew members have been shown to save the safe.

Approval of Rs. 10,000 crore to the base capital of the higher education financial agency
 
●        In order to meet the budgetary allocation of budgetary allocation in the Higher Education on 4th July 2018, the Central Government has approved the proposal of expanding the base capital of the Higher Education Financial Agency to Rs. 10,000 crores.
●        According to the Central Government's proposal, the higher education financial agency has been provided more financial expansion so that it can improve infrastructure in the educational institutions.

LIC can invest up to Rs 26,000 crore in IRFCs
 
●        Life Insurance Corporation of India, a public sector insurance company, can invest up to Rs 26,000 crore in Indian Financial Finance Corp through the bond issue in the current financial year.
●        The yields of these 30-year bonds of IRFC will be more than 30 basis points from 10-year Benchmark bonds yield and it will be rated reset every ten years.

Qatar bought Sahara's Plaza Hotel in 4 thousand crore

 
●        The Sahara Group has got a buyer for the New York-based The Plaza Hotel .
●        Katara Holdings, owned by Qatar government, has bought this hotel for around Rs 4 thousand crore, in which the Sahara Group has more share.
●        It also includes a 75 percent stake in the Sahara India family.
