India Election Commission launches Mobile App "Civilisil"
●        Chief Election Commissioner Shri O.P. Rawat launched "Civisil" app on July 3, 2018 to enable the citizens to report violations of Model Code of conduct during elections with Election Commissioner Mr. Sunil Arora and Mr. Ashok Lavasa during the election.
●        The app is easy to operate in Android and Android applications.
●        This app will be operational at the same place where the election has been announced.
 

maintenance of housing allocation for army personnel of Divyang children
●        In its recent order, the Ministry of Defense has decided to decentralize the powers for the allocation of married children on Divorce based accommodation on priority basis.
●        The power to allocate armed forces personnel to allocate residential facilities for the period of three years and to facilitate the facility on the basis of Divya children, has been given to the local military officer at the GOC Sub Area level.
●        This facility can be extended by the same official for another two years.
 
Ministry of Defense approves 17 new baffle firing range
●        The Ministry of Defense has approved 17 new baffle firing range at an estimated cost of 238 crores in military stations / cantonments / training institutes.
●        From this there will be seven ranges to the Southern Command, three ranges to Eastern Command, two ranges to the Northern Command and one range each to the south-west and central command.
●        This 17 firing range will be in addition to 60 firing ranges in the country.
●        The proposed Baffle firing range will help firing up to 300 to 500 meters.


KVIC launches e-marketing system
●        Khadi and Village Industries Commission launched its own internally developed and single-umbrella e-marketing system, Khadi Institute Management and Information System, in New Delhi today.
●        The system or system can be accessed from anywhere in the country for purchase and sale of Khadi and Village Industries products.
 

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organized 'National Workshop for Skills Development for Divyangs'
●        The DivyaJanan Empowerment Department today organized a 'National Workshop on Skills Development for Divyangjan'.
●        This one-day workshop was organized to provide platform to employers and all stakeholders with policy makers.
●        The workshop was inaugurated by the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot.

●        Chairman of the National Scheduled Tribes Commission, Dr. Nandkumar Sai, Vice Chairman of the Commission Ms. Anusuya Uike and members of the Commission today presented the President Ramnath Kovind and submitted special report based on the subject "Tribal affected by Indira Sagar Polavaram project".
●        On this occasion, the Secretary of the Commission Shri Raghav Chandra was also present.

Punjab cabinet sent proposal to Center to hang drug smugglers
 
●        The Punjab government has sent a proposal to the Central Government to hang the drug smugglers in the state to curb the illegal trafficking of drugs.
●        If the Central Government approves this proposal then Punjab can be used to curb illegal drug smuggling.
●        Under the leadership of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Cabinet approved this proposal to be approved on 02 July 2018.
 
 
Rabindra Dholakia Committee constituted for changes in rules regarding compilation of economic data
 
●        The central government has constituted a 13-member committee to upgrade norms for calculating economic data at the state and district level in the backdrop of plans to revise the base year for calculating national accounting and gross domestic product.
●        This committee will be the retired Prof. Ravindra H. Dholakia, IIM Ahmedabad.
 
 Announcement of ‘Project Sashakt' to tackle the problem of NPA
 
●        A comprehensive policy has been announced to address the problem of NPAs of non-performing assets of government banks in the country.
●        This entire policy will be implemented in the name of 'Project Sashakt', which has been prepared on the basis of the report of the committee formed under the chairmanship of Sunil Mehta.
●        Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that there are 200 bank accounts of more than Rs. Crore in the country.
●        Of these, loans worth about Rs 3 lakh crore are stranded.

●        Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi meets his Majesty Mr. Raila Odinga, the leader of the former Kenya Prime Minister and the opposition leader in New Delhi today.
●        Prime Minister Modi recalled his old relation when he went to Kenya as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
●        Odinga also remembered his visit to India in 2009 and 2012.
●        The two leaders have discussed progress on Indo-Kenya relations and regional and global issues of mutual interest in recent years.
 

Supreme Court issues order on appointment of Director General of Police
 
●        The Supreme Court has issued an order on the appointment of the Director General of Police (DGP) in a significant decision on 03 July 2018.
●        The Supreme Court has ordered all states, union territories not to appoint any police officer as acting DGP (acting DGP).
●        The Supreme Court ordered the states to send UPSC three months before the retirement of the serving officer on the name, post for appointment to the DGP post.
●        UPSC will sort out the names of three police officers and the state will be able to appoint one of them to the DGP post.


Income Tax Department initiated immediate PAN Card service
 
●        The Income Tax Department started the e-PAN facility on July 02, 2018 under digital facility, so that you can get PAN number immediately.
●        The Income Tax Department has said on its e-filing website that this facility is free and is for legal holders.
 

10,000 scholarships for girls passing 12th: Bihar government
●        The Bihar Government has announced the scholarship of Rs 10,000 to the Bihar government who have passed the 12th class examination.
●        The government said that all those unmarried girls will be given scholarships, who have passed the examination with good marks in the 12th board.
●        According to the Government of Bihar, scholarships will be given to 2 members of any family only.

Indian Army's motorcycle drive in memory of Kargil Vijay Day
●        A motorcycle demonstration of the exclusive motorcycle display team 'White Horse' of the Corps of Military Police was flagged off in 1999 in memory of Operation Vijay of Indian Army on July 2, 2018.
●        This motorcycle team will complete 3250 kilometers of distance from Bengaluru to Drass, Jammu and Kashmir in 24 days, and will reach Kargil war memorial, Dras on July 26, 2018.

'Ayushman Bharat' scheme implemented in Madhya Pradesh
 
●        In Madhya Pradesh, the 'Ayushman Bharat' scheme of Prime Minister National Health Security Mission will be implemented from August 15, 2018.
●        The State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Health Agency for the implementation of this scheme.
●        The scheme is being claimed to benefit from more than 5.5 crore beneficiaries in the state.
