Wipo Copyright Convention 1996 and Appropriate Proposal of Wipo Performance and Phonograms Treaty 1996
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Industrial Policy and Promotion Department, the Wipo-Copyright Treaty of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Vipo Performance and Phonogram Treaty.
●        These treaties also include Internet and Digital Copy Write.
●        This approval is an important tool in the direction of the purpose set out in the National Intellectual Property Act, adopted by the government on May 12, 2016.

Approval of big plan for relief and rehabilitation of migrants and returning people
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of 8 existing schemes of the Ministry of Home Affairs till March, 2020 under the larger scheme of 'Relief and rehabilitation of the people of migrants and returning people.'
●        The financial estimates for this purpose during the year 2017-18 to 2019-20 will be Rs. 31,83 crores.
●        For the yearly financial estimates 2017-18, Rs 911 crore, Rs 1372 crore for 2018-19 and Rs 900 crore for 2019-20.

 
Approval of MOU renewal between Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Saudi Organization and Certified Public Accountants

●        The Union Cabinet approved the renewal of the Consent of 2014, which was approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Saudi Organization of Saudi Arabia and Certified Public Accountants (SOPA) between Corporate Governance, Technical Research and Suggestions, Fencing Integration, Small and Small Practices (SMP), Islamic Finance, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and other topics Serves to enhance cooperation.

 
Approval for expanding the recapitalization plan of Regional Rural Banks by 2019-20

●        The Union Cabinet has approved the expansion of Regional Rural Banks' Recapitalization Scheme for the next three years i.e. 2019-20.
●        Through this, RRB will be able to maintain the minimum fixed capital at the risk asset ratio of 9 percent.
 

MoU clears between India and UK to form a joint consultation committee and cooperation in the field of law and justice.
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries for the cooperation between India and the UK in the field of law and justice and a joint consultation committee.
●        This MOU will take care of the concerns and needs of the field of exchange of experience by legal professionals and government employees and their training.


DNA Technology Regulation Bill-2018 Approved
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the DNA Technology Regulation Bill, 2018.
●        The primary purpose behind the 'DNA Technology Regulation Bill' being enacted is to extend the application of DNA based forensic technologies to support and strengthen the judicial system of the country.


Boeing 747-400 aircraft approves revision of compensation on SESF operations
●        Committee of Economic Affairs of the Union Cabinet has approved 10 percent annual increase for the maintenance of the B-747-400 aircraft.
●        With this, the expenditure on special additional sector flight operations has been increased to Rs 336.24 crore for 2016-17 and tax has been increased to Rs 534.38 crore and tax has been taxed.

 
Changing the name of Agartala Airport in Tripura to Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore Airport, Agartala

●        The Union Cabinet has approved the name of Agartala Airport of Tripura to Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore Airport, Agartala.
●        This decision was taken in the light of the long standing demand of the people of Tripura and tribute to the Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore by Tripura Government.
●        Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore became the king of Tripura state in 1923.


5.99 acres of Armed Forces land to be transferred to Arunachal Pradesh government in Tawang
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the transfer of 5.99 acres of Armed Border force to the Arunachal Pradesh government for construction of mega-festival-cum-multipurpose ground in Tawang.
●        Arunachal Pradesh government identified 5.99 acres of suitable land within SSB campus in Tawang for the construction of mega-festival-cum-multipurpose ground with parking facility (4.73 acres) and ring road construction (1.26 acres).

 
Central Government approves MSP for Kharif crops

●        The Union Cabinet has approved the increase in minimum support price for Kharif crops for the year 2018-19 on 04 July 2018.
●        The decision to increase MSP on kharif crops is in line with the announcement of the government budget.
●        In the Budget, the central government had announced the farmers to make the cost of production of their crops one and a half times.

Delhi is not full state, Lt Governor and Delhi government should work together: Supreme court
●        The Supreme Court ruled on 04 July 2018 on the debate between Delhi Government and the Lt Governor regarding the demand for full state status for Delhi.
●        The Supreme Court has made it clear that it is not possible for Delhi to get full statehood.
●        Unlike the Delhi High Court's decision, the Supreme Court has said that the Lieutenant Governor is not free to take a decision in Delhi, LG has to work according to the advice of the Cabinet.


'Happiness Course' started in Government schools in Delhi
 

●        Delhi Government launched happiness course for school children on July 02, 2018.
●        Under this, every class from nursery to eighth grade will start with five minutes 'meditation'.
●        This course includes meditation, moral values and mental exercises for school students.
●        It was launched by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the presence of the Dalai Lama.

Maj Gen Jose Claudio appointed President of UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan
 

●        Maj Gen Jose Elaudio of Uruguay was appointed Chairman of United Nations Military Supervisor Group on July 3, 2018 in India and Pakistan.
●        His appointment was announced by United Nations General Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
●        Major General Jose Elaudio was appointed to replace Gustaf on the Maj Gen of Sweden.
●        His two-year term will end in July 2018.

Rajasthan Government launches Annapurna Milk Scheme for 62 lakh children
 

●        Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje launched Annapurna Milk Project for students of government schools on 2nd July 2018. Under this scheme 62 lakh children will be provided free milk three times a week.
●        In this scheme started by the state government, children studying in schools and schools of Rajasthan will be given milk during mid-day meals.
●        Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje introduced this scheme from a government school in Dahimya Kalan.

ICC changes rules on ball tampering
 

●        The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to take strict action against the guilty cricketers in the wake of tampering and sledding incidents of the ball, for which he is going to make his rules more difficult.
●        This decision was taken in the ICC meeting held in Dublin.
●        In the meeting chaired by former Indian captain Anil Kumble, it was decided that the ICC will now take strict action against the violation of the Code of Ethics.

Indian team announces 524 members for Asian Games 2018
●        Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced the Indian team for the Asian Games on 03 July 2018.
●        An Indian team of 524 members will participate in Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia's capital Jakarta.
●        This game will be held in Jakarta from August 18 to September 2, 2018.
●        The Indian Olympic Association announced in the previous announcement about the big team, under which 524 players were given the ticket to Jakarta.
