NATIONAL:

India elected to Executive Board of first UN-Habitat Assembly.

• First session of the UN-Habitat Assembly will be held from 27-31 May 2019, at the headquarters of UN-Habitat in Nairobi.

• The Theme is: “Innovation for Better Quality of Life in Cities and Communities”.

• The Sub-theme as: “Accelerated implementation of the New Urban Agenda towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals”.

• During the first session, The Assembly is expected to establish the Executive Board of UN-Habitat and elect its members, to review and approve the UN-Habitat Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and also review the Progress in the implementation of New Urban Agenda, among other things.

• A State which is a member of a Specialized Agency and the Observer Members States of the United Nations may participate in the deliberations of the UN-Habitat Assembly in the capacity of an observer.

• The Assembly will also be attended by United Nations Agencies, Local authorities and non-state actors including civil society, youth and women group representatives, the private sector and the Academia.

Ola Electric appoints ex-Vodafone Group CEO Arun Sarin to board.

• Bengaluru-based Ola's newly-formed company Ola Electric has appointed former Vodafone Group CEO Arun Sarin as an independent director on its board. Sarin also currently serves on the boards of Cisco Systems, Accenture, Charles Schwab and Ola's parent company ANI Technologies. The IIT- Kharagpur alumni had received an Honorary Knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in 2010

Candy Crush maker King's Co-founder quits as CEO after 16 yrs.

• Riccardo Zacconi, Co-founder of video game developer King, known for developing the Candy Crush Saga game, has stepped down as the CEO, its parent firm Activision Blizzard's regulatory filings revealed. Zacconi, an Italian businessman, led King for around 16 years after it was founded in 2003. However, he will stay on as King's Chairman, the filings further revealed.

• लोकप्रिय मोबाइल गेम एप ‘कैंडी क्रश सागा’ के डेवलपर किंग के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) रिकाडरे जकोनी ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। इसकी मूल कंपनी ‘एक्टिविजन ब्लिजार्ड’ ने यह जानकारी दी। फाइनेंशियल टाइम्स की रविवार की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, ‘एक्टिविजन ब्लिजार्ड’ के अधिग्रहण वाली ‘किंग’ के सह-संस्थापक जकोनी इसके चेयरमैन बनेंगे। गेम डेवलपर की लगभग 16 सालों तक अगुआई करने वाले इतालवी उद्योगपति जकोनी अपने पद से एक जुलाई को इस्तीफा देंगे।

Donald Trump becomes first foreign leader to meet new Japanese emperor.

• US President Donald Trump became first foreign leader at Japan's Imperial Palace where he made history becoming the first world leader to meet with the new emperor of Japan.

Emperor Naruhito ascended to the throne on May 1, opening what is called the era of "Reiwa," or "beautiful harmony."

• US President who is on a four-day state visit to Japan was treated to a welcome ceremony full of pomp and pageantry.

• Pema Khandu will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on May 29, Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs informed on Twitter. This comes after Arunachal Pradesh BJP MLAs on Monday unanimously selected Pema Khandu as the leader of BJP Legislature Party. BJP had won 41 seats in the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly.

He is Professor of Cardiology at AIIMS, New Delhi and also serves as the Executive Director for Stanford India Biodesign Centre, School of International Biodesign (SiB). He is an outstanding cardiologist, one of the foremost leaders in biomedical innovation, public health, medical education, and medical research.

• Professor Bhargava has excellent leadership qualities and has established the India-Stanford Biodesign program, a unique interdisciplinary fellowship program to foster innovation, design in low-cost implants/devices. The Prize aims at rewarding work that has extended far beyond the call of normal duties, and it is not intended as a reward for an excellent performance of duties normally expected of an official position of a governmental or intergovernmental institution.

The prize is awarded once a year and consists of a plaque from the Founder and a sum of money which will not exceed US$ 100 000. It will be presented at a special ceremony during the World Health Assembly.

Apurvi Chandela bags gold medal in 10m Air Rifle in ISSF World Cup.

• India won third International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle and Pistol tournament in Munich, Germany.

• Apurvi Chandela won gold in the women's 10m Air Rifle competition after a closely-fought contest. She shot a score of 251 in the final to outshine Wang Luyao of China, who shot 250.8.

• This was Apurvi's second ISSF World Cup gold of the year followed by a world record score in New Delhi.

• After the first round of qualifying in the women's 25m Pistol, Asian Games champion Rahi Sarnobat stood in the second position with a score of 294.

China beat Japan won 2019 Sudirman Cup.

• China won the badminton world mixed-team championship, Sudirman Cup 2019 in Nanning. They beat Japan in men's doubles, women's singles and men's singles and won the title for the 11th time.

• In the latest Men' singles match Shi Yuqi stunned world champion Kento Momota for 15-21, 21-5,21-11.

Shooter Saurabh breaks own world record to win 2nd World Cup gold.

• India's 17-year-old shooter Saurabh Chaudhary broke his own junior and senior world record to win his second World Cup gold medal. Saurabh won 10m Air Pistol event with 246.3 points, breaking his own senior record of 245 points and junior record of 245.5 points. Saurabh had booked a quota for 2020 Olympics during his maiden World Cup in February.

• अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प जापान के सम्राट से मिलने वाले पहले विदेशी नेता बन गए है। आप भी सोच रहे होंगे ऐसा कैसे? क्या इससे पहले जापान के सम्राट से कोई नहीं मिला ? ये कैसे सम्भव है? ठहरिये,आपके सभी प्रश्नों का जवाब हमारे पास है।

• दरअसल, हाल ही में जापान के नए सम्राट के रूप में युवराज नारुहितो ने शपथ ली है। शपथ के बाद उनसे मिलने वाले ट्रम्प पहले विदेशी नेता है। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के साथ उनकी पत्नी भी इस यात्रा में उनके साथ गई है।

• वहीँ जापान ने भी ट्रम्प की खातिरदारी करने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी। जापान ने ट्रम्प की सुरक्षा के लिए जापानी पुलिस के लगभग 25 हजार अधिकारियों को लगाया गया है। टोक्यो में भी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के माकूल इंतज़ामात किए गए है। अपनी यात्रा के दौरान ट्रम्प जापान के प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे के साथ व्यापार और सैन्य संबंधों को लेकर चर्चा करेंगे। अमेरिका का चीन और उत्तर-कोरिया के साथ विवाद चल रहा है ऐसे में ये मुलाकत अहम मानी जा रही है। आपको बता दें कि हाल ही में अमेरिका ने चीन के 200 अरब डॉलर के आयात पर शुल्क को 10 फीसदी से बढ़ाकर 25 फीसदी कर दिया था। इन सब हालातों को देखते हुए चीन कहाँ पीछे रहने वाला था। चीन ने भी 1 जून से यूएस के 60 बिलियन अमरीकी डालर पर आयात शुल्क को बढ़ा दिया था । अमेरिका और चीन के बीच ये ट्रेड वॉर लम्बे समय से जारी है। उत्तर कोरिया और अमेरिका के बीच क्या रिश्ते है ये भी किसी से छुपा नहीं है।

• अरुणाचल प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव में पहली बार ऐतिहासिक जीत करने वाली भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) ने राज्य के नए सीएम के नाम का ऐलान कर दिया है। अरुणाचल में बीजेपी को जीत दिलाने में सबसे अहम भूमिका निभाने वाले पेमा खांडू राज्य के अगले मुख्यमंत्री होंगे। इस फैसले की जानकारी बीजेपी के वरिष्ठ नेता किरण रिजिजू ने ट्वीट कर दी। पेमा खांडू 29 मई को अरुणाचल प्रदेश के नए मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ लेंगे।

• बता दें कि लोकसभा चुनाव के साथ ही हुए विधानसभा चुनाव में पूर्वोत्तर के इस राज्य में बीजेपी ने शानदार जीत दर्ज की थी। अरुणाचल प्रदेश में 'मिशन 60 प्लस 2' (60 विधानसभा और 2 लोकसभा) का लक्ष्य लेकर चल रही बीजेपी ने विधानसभा की 60 सीटों पर हुए चुनाव में बहुमत हासिल करते हुए 41 सीटों पर जीत दर्ज की थी। वहीं कांग्रेस को सिर्फ 4 सीटों से संतोष करना पड़ा था। एनडीए की सहयोगी और बिहार के सीएम नीतीश कुमार की पार्टी जेडीयू ने भी इस पहाड़ी राज्य में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करते हुए 7 सीटों पर कब्जा जमा लिया था।

• पंजाब के गुरदासपुर सीट से लोकसभा चुनाव हारने वाले कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार और पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। बता दें कि सुनील जाखड़ को इस लोकसभा चुनाव में बीजेपी के उम्मीदवार सनी देओल ने बड़े अंतर से हराया है। सुनील जाखड़ ने अपना इस्तीफा मौजूदा पार्टी अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी को भेज दिया है। सुनील जाखड़ ने गुरदासपुर से बीजेपी के सांसद विनोद खन्ना के निधन के बाद इस सीट पर 2017 में हुए उपचुनाव में जीत दर्ज की थी। सुनील जाखड़ के एक सहयोगी ने सोमवार को बताया कि उन्होंने परिणाम घोषित होने के बाद राहुल गांधी को अपना इस्तीफा भेज दिया है।

• राज्यपाल गंगा प्रसाद ने पलजोर स्टेडियम में उन्हें मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ दिलाई, तमांग मौजूदा विधानसभा के सदस्य नहीं हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने चुनाव नहीं लड़ा था।

• प्रेम सिंह तमांग ने नेपाली भाषा में शपथ ली, जब वह शपथ ले रहे थे, उस समय स्टेडियम में मौजूद सिक्किम क्रांतिकारी मोर्चा के हजारों समर्थकों ने उनके समर्थन में नारे लगाए।

• राज्य के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पवन कुमार चामलिंग और सिक्किम डेमोक्रेटिक फ्रंट (एसडीएफ) के वरिष्ठ नेता शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में मौजूद नहीं थे।

• इससे पहले सिक्किम क्रांतिकारी मोर्चा प्रमुख तमांग ने शनिवार को अपने नवनिर्वाचित 17 विधायकों के साथ राज्यपाल से मुलाकात कर राज्य में नई सरकार बनाने का दावा पेश किया था.

• सिक्किम क्रांतिकारी मोर्चा की स्थापना 2013 में हुई थी। 32 सदस्यीय सिक्किम विधानसभा में पार्टी को बहुमत मिला है, पार्टी ने 32 में से 17 सीटें जीती हैं जबकि एसडीएफ ने 15 सीटों पर जीत दर्ज की है।

• लोकसभा चुनावों में मिली करारी हार के बाद अब अकाली दल में घमासान मच गया है। अकाली दल नेता मंजीत सिंह जीके ने चुनाव के नतीजे आने के बाद जब पार्टी नेताओं पर सवाल उठाए तो पार्टी ने उनको बाहर का रास्ता दिखा दिया। शुक्रवार को पार्टी की कोर कमेटी की बैठक में मंजीत सिंह जीके को पार्टी से निकालने का प्रस्ताव पारित किया। कुछ घंटों बाद पार्टी प्रमुख और पूर्व उप-मुख्यमंत्री सुखबीर बादल ने कमेटी की सिफारिशों को मानते हुए मंजीत सिंह जीके को पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया।

• मंजीत सिंह जीके ने पार्टी फैसले पर सवाल खड़े करते हुए कहा की जब उन्होंने पिछले साल 7 दिसंबर को पार्टी की प्राथमिक सदस्यता और सभी पदों से इस्तीफा दे दिया था तो निष्कासन गैर कानूनी है। जीके ने कहा है कि निष्कासन का ड्रामा सिर्फ और सिर्फ इसलिए किया गया ताकि वह लोकसभा चुनावों में हुई पार्टी की हार पर सवाल न उठा सकें।

राष्ट्रपति कोविंद 30 मई को मोदी को पीएम के रूप में शपथ दिलाएंगे।

ओडिशा की आदिवासी युवा महिला इंजीनियर, जो सबसे कम उम्र में सांसद बनी

• 17वीं लोकसभा में सबसे ज्यादा महिलाएं संसद पहुंची हैं। इनमें से सात सांसद ओडिशा से भी हैं। जिनमें से 5 बीजू जनता दल (BJD) से हैं और दो बीजेपी से। बीजेडी की इन सांसदों में अब तक की सबसे कम उम्र की आदिवासी महिला सांसद चंद्राणी मुर्मू भी शामिल हैं। मुर्मू की उम्र अभी केवल 25 साल है और वह इंजीनियर हैं। मुर्मू ने ओडिशा की केन्झार लोकसभा सीट से जीत दर्ज की है। ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने चुनाव से पहले कहा था कि इस बार के लोकसभा चुनाव में उनकी पार्टी 33 प्रतिशत सीट महिलाओं को देगी। नवीन ने अपना वादा निभाया और 21 सीटों में से 7 सीटों पर महिला उम्मीदवारों को लड़ाया। इन सात में से पांच उम्मीदवारों ने जीत भी हासिल की।

NDA ने लगातार दूसरी बार नरेंद्र मोदी को अपना नेता चुना।

• ईरान से भारी तनाव के बीच अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति डोनल्ड ट्रंप ने सऊदी अरब से अरबों डॉलर के हथियार सौदे का रास्ता साफ़ कर दिया है।

• ट्रंप ने आठ अरब डॉलर के इस हथियार सौदे के लिए कांग्रेस की रोक को बाइपास कर दिया है।

• सामान्य स्थिति में इस सौदे के लिए ट्रंप को कांग्रेस की मंजूरी ज़रूरी थी। मध्य-पूर्व में ईरान को लेकर काफ़ी तनाव की स्थिति है और ट्रंप प्रशासन भी इसे लेकर काफ़ी मुखर है।

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Election Results: आंध्र प्रदेश में YSRCP को दो-तिहाई बहुमत, CM नायडू ने दिया इस्तीफा

• लोकसभा चुनाव में एक ओर जहां नरेंद्र मोदी की अगुवाई में एनडीए ने बंपर जीत हासिल है तो वहीं आंध्र प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव में वाईएसआरसीपी की जोरदार आंधी में चंद्रबाबू नायडू अपना किला भी नहीं बचा सके और उन्हें करारी हार का सामना करना पड़ा। वाईएसआरसीपी दो तिहाई से ज्यादा बहुमत हासिल की है। 175 सदस्यीय विधानसभा में वाईएसआरसीपी ने 151 सीटों पर जीत हासिल की।

• इस बीच राज्य में करारी हार को देखते हुए मुख्यमंत्री चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने गुरुवार को ही अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। शुक्रवार दोपहर तक चले मतगणना में सत्तारुढ़ तेलगू देशम पार्टी (टीडीपी) को महज 23 सीट मिली। आंध्र प्रदेश की सभी 175 विधानसभा सीटों पर लोकसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण यानी 11 अप्रैल को चुनाव हुए थे।

• ब्रिटेन की प्रधानमंत्री थेरेसा मे ने शुक्रवार को अपने पद से इस्तीफा देने का ऐलान कर दिया। उन्होंने डाउनिंग स्ट्रीट स्थित पीएम आवास पर बयान जारी कर ब्रेग्जिट समझौता न करा पाने के लिए अफसोस जाताया। साथ ही कहा कि 7 जून को वे कंजर्वेटिव पार्टी का अध्यक्ष पद छोड़ देंगी।

• दरअसल, थेरेसा पर पिछले काफी समय से आरोप लग रहा था कि यूरोप से यूनाइटेड किंगडम (यूके) को बाहर करने के समझौते पर वे अपनी पार्टी को ही नहीं मना पा रही हैं। संसद में उनके ब्रेग्जिट प्लान को भी कई बार नकारा गया।

Bangladesh stopped visas for Pakistani nationals.

Bangladesh has reportedly refused to accept the 'agreement' from Islamabad for the appointment of a new high commissioner.

Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs named Saqlain Syedah as its new High Commissioner to Bangladesh, but Dhaka refused to accept the "agreement", a diplomatic requirement under which a host country has to confirm the appointment of an incoming envoy.

Reason:

Bangladesh, which seceded from Pakistan in 1971, has accused Pakistan of financing terrorism on its soil. Bilateral ties have become so strained. Now it has halted granting visas to all Pakistanis.

• IT major, Tech Mahindra has signed a defence contract worth Rs.300 crore with Indian Navy. This contract is its biggest agreement to date. The IT major will implement RFID-based access control system across all naval bases and ships as part of 'Armed Forces Secure Access Card (AFSAC)' Project. AFSAC will replace the existing paper-based identity card for all Navy personnel, including dependents and ex-servicemen. As part of the AFSAC Project, Tech Mahindra will implement RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) based access control system across all naval bases and ships.

AFSAC Project:

• The Mumbai-based company will develop a secure application to manage the access control devices, network devices, and the AFSAC card through a data centre.

• नेपाल के केंद्रीय बैंक ने लोकप्रिय चीनी डिजिटल वॉलेट अलीपे और वीचैट को प्रतिबंधित कर दिया है। एक अधिकारी ने मंगलवार को यह जानकारी दी। देश में आने वाले हजारों चीनी सैलानियों से विदेशी मुद्रा की कमाई के नुकसान की आशंका के मद्देनजर सेंट्रल बैंक ने यह कदम उठाया है। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक ने सोमवार को नोटिस जारी कर लोकप्रिय चीनी डिजिटल भुगतान प्लेटफॉर्म के इस्तेमाल पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया।

• इन डिजिटल भुगतान प्लेटफॉर्म का इस्तेमाल होटलों, रेस्त्रां और पर्यटन क्षेत्रों में स्थित दुकानों खासकर चीन संचालित कारोबारों में किया जाता है। नेपाल के केंद्रीय बैंक के प्रवक्ता लक्ष्मी प्रपन्ना निरूला ने कहा कि बैंक की अनुमति के बगैर ऐसे प्लेटफॉर्म का इस्तेमाल अवैध है।

बांग्लादेश ने रोका पाकिस्तानियों का वीजा

• इस्लामाबाद स्थित बंग्लादेश हाई कमीशन ने पाकिस्तानी लोगों को एक सप्ताह के लिए वीजा जारी करना की प्रक्रिया को बंद कर दिया है। बांग्लादेश में 1971 के मुक्ति संग्राम में युद्ध अपराध के कई दोषियों को फांसी देने और पाकिस्तान के उच्चायुक्त को वीजा से इन्कार किए जाने को लेकर दोनों देशों में पहले से ही कूटनीतिक तनातनी चल रही है। बताया जा रहा है कि पाकिस्तान में तैनात एक बांग्लादेशी राजनयिक के पारिवारिक सदस्यों को वीजा जारी नहीं किए जाने के विरोध में यह कदम उठाया गया है।

• बांग्लादेश के विदेश मंत्रालय के अधिकारी ने कहा कि 'आप इसे पाकिस्तानी रवैये के खिलाफ विरोध के तौर के पर देख सकते हैं। हालांकि ढाका स्थित विदेश मंत्रालय ने इस पर कोई आधिकारिक बयान जारी नहीं किया है और न ही पाकिस्तानी नागरिकों को वीजा मुहैया करने पर पाबंदी को लेकर कोई सूचना जारी की है। अधिकारी ने कहा कि “वीजा मुहैया करने वाले बांग्लादेशी राजनयिक ने पाकिस्तानी नागरिकों के आवेदन को स्वीकार करने से इनकार कर दिया है।

• ढाका स्थित पाकिस्तान के उच्चायोग ने उसके परिवार के सदस्यों के वीजा आवेदन की प्रक्रिया को आगे बढ़ाने पर कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं दिखा रहा है।अधिकारी ने बताया कि ढाका में तैनात पाकिस्तानी उच्चायोग बांग्लादेश के उच्चायोग के प्रेस और वीजा मामलों के काउंसलर इकबाल हुसैन के पारिवारिक सदस्यों की वीजा प्रक्रिया में देरी कर रहा है। इससे वह अपने परिवार से मिल नहीं पा रहे। हुसैन अपनी बेटी के साथ इस्लामाबाद में रह रहे हैं जबकि उनकी पत्नी और बेटा ढाका में हैं। ढाका ट्रिब्यून अखबार में इकबाल हुसैन के हवाले से कहा गया है, 'पाकिस्तानी नागरिकों को वीजा जारी नहीं किया जा रहा। इस्लामाबाद स्थित बांग्लादेशी उच्चायुक्त का वीजा काउंटर 13 मई से बंद है। इस बारे में पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्रालय को जानकारी दी जा चुकी है।'

• गौरतलब है कि वर्ष 1971 की जंग में पाकिस्तानी सैनिको को फांसी देने के आदेश के खिलाफ पाकिस्तान की सदनों में बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ काफी प्रस्तावों को पारित किया था। साथ ही कई मंत्रालयों ने ढाका के खिलाफ बयान भी जारी किए थे। अधिकारी के मुताबिक, हुसैन पाकिस्तान में अपनी बेटी के साथ रह रहा है जबकि उनकी पत्नी और बेटा ढाका में ही है। हालांकि इस मामले पर अभी तक किसी अधिकारी ने स्पष्ट बयान नहीं दिया है। दोनों देशों के रिश्तों में वर्ष 2016 में तल्खी आई जब बांग्लादेश ने पाकिस्तान पर उनके तीन अधिकारियों को वापस लेने के लिए दबाव बनाया था।

पाक के नए उच्चायुक्त का बांग्लादेश ने किया था विरोध

• पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्रालय ने मार्च, 2018 में सकलैन सैयदा को बांग्लादेश में अपना नया उच्चायुक्त नियुक्त किया था। तब बांग्लादेश ने इस नियुक्ति का विरोध करते हुए पाकिस्तान से कहा था कि वह सकलैन की नियुक्ति को स्वीकार नहीं कर सकता। उनकी जगह किसी अन्य को नामित किया जाए। माना जा रहा है कि बांग्लादेशी राजनयिक के पारिवारिक सदस्यों के वीजा में इसी वजह से देरी की जा रही है।

समझौते और सम्‍मेलन:

टेक महिंद्रा ने भारतीय नौसेना के साथ 300 करोड़ रुपये के रक्षा अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

• डिजिटल सूचनाओं और इंजीनियरिंग सेवाओं की अग्रणी कंपनी टेक महिंद्रा ने मंगलवार को अपने 300 करोड़ रुपये के सबसे बड़े रक्षा सौदे की घोषणा की। इस सौदे से टेक महिंद्रा, भारतीय नौसेना की डिजिटल सूचनाओं को सुरक्षित बनाएगा। ‘आर्म्ड फोर्सेस सिक्योर एक्सेस कार्ड’ (AFSAC) प्रोजेक्ट के हिस्से के रूप में, टेक महिंद्रा सभी नौसेना अड्डों और जहाजों में RFID (रेडियो फ्रीक्वेंसी आइडेंटिफिकेशन) आधारित एक्सेस कंट्रोल सिस्टम लागू करेगा।

• नया एएफएसएसी कार्ड आश्रितों और पूर्व सैनिकों सहित सभी नौसेना कर्मियों के लिए मौजूदा पेपर-आधारित पहचान पत्र की जगह लेगा। सीएमएमआई (क्षमता परिपक्वता मॉडल एकीकरण) स्तर 5 प्रक्रियाओं का उपयोग करते हुए, टेक महिंद्रा डेटा सेंटर के माध्यम से एक्सेस कंट्रोल डिवाइस, नेटवर्क डिवाइस और AFSAC कार्ड का प्रबंधन करने के लिए एक सुरक्षित एप्लिकेशन विकसित करेगा।

• इंडिया बिजनेस एंड कॉरपोरेट अफेयर्स, टेक महिंद्रा के अध्यक्ष सुजीत बक्षी ने कहा कि “हमारे राष्ट्रीय रक्षा सुरक्षा प्रणालियों को बढ़ाने के लिए इस परियोजना पर भारतीय नौसेना के साथ काम करना हमारे लिए एक अविश्वसनीय उपलब्धि है। साथ में उन्होनें कहा कि “टेक महिंद्रा ने हाल के दिनों में कोल इंडिया, इंडिया पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन, कानपुर स्मार्ट सिटी जैसी योजनाओ के साथ भारत के बाजार में नए सिरे से ध्यान केंद्रित किया है। यह क्रम आगे भी जारी रहेगा और विश्व स्तर पर अग्रणी सिस्टम इंटीग्रेटर्स में से एक के रूप में हमारी भूमिका को मजबूत करेगा और हम राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा बुनियादी ढांचे को बनाए रखने में भारतीय नौसेना के साथ सहयोग करने के लिए तत्पर हैं।

• टिकटॉक और हेलो जैसे प्‍लेटफार्म भारत के अलावा कई देशो में काफी पॉपुलर है, खासकर टिकटॉक यंगस्‍टर के बीच एक जानी-मानी मोबाइन एप है। लेकिन क्‍या आप जानते हैं ये दोनो एप एक ही कंपनी की है इस ऐप को बाइटडांस टेक्नोलॉजी ने बनाया है, ये एक चाइनीज़ कंपनी है जिसका हेडक्‍वार्टर Beijing में है।

• हाल ही में कंपनी ने भारत में अपने मॉनिटाइजेशन प्‍लेटफार्म के लिए नए हेड समीर सिंह को नियुक्‍त किया है। समीर इससे पहले साउथ एशिया में ग्रुप एम के सीइओ थे, जो एक एडवरटाइजिंग कंपनी है। समीर सिंह के नए हेड बनाए जाने के बाद ये अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है कंपनी को भारत में अपना बिज़नेस तेजी से बढ़ाना चाहती है।

• खबर ये भी है कंपनी भारत में जल्‍द म्‍यूजिक सर्विस भी शुरु करने पर विचार कर रही है जो सीधे अमेज़न और स्‍पॉटीफाइ को टक्‍कर देगी। कुछ समय पहले मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने टिकटॉक पर बैन लगा दिया था जिसकी वजह से कंपनी को रोज लगभग 5 लाख डॉलर का नुकसान हो रहा था। भारत में इसकी यूजर संख्‍या पर नज़र डाले तो ये आकड़ा तीस करोड़ से ज्यादा है। अब देखना ये है समीर सिंह के आने के बाद कंपनी भारत में अपना पैर कितना पसार पाती है।

इंडस टावर्स, भारती इन्फ्राटेल का विलय अग्रिम चरण में, बिमल दयाल सीईओ होंगे

• भारती और वोडाफोन ग्रुप ने बिमल दयाल को अपनी विशाल टावर कंपनी का मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) नियुक्त किया है। यह कंपनी इंडस टावर्स और भारती इन्फ्राटेल के विलय के बाद अस्तित्व में आएगी। कंपनी ने कहा कि विलय की प्रक्रिया अग्रिम चरण में है। एक संयुक्त बयान में कहा गया है कि दयाल संयुक्त कारोबार का दायित्व संभालेंगे और वह विलय की तैयारियों के सिलसिले में दोनों कंपनियों के एकीकरण को आगे बढ़ाएंगे। अभी दयाल इंडस टावर्स के सीईओ हैं। बयान में कहा गया है कि दयाल को विलय के बाद अस्तित्व में आने वाली इकाई का सीईओ नियुक्त करने का प्रस्ताव किया जाता है। बयान में कहा गया है कि हेमंत रुइया संयुक्त इकाई के मुख्य वित्त अधिकारी (सीएफओ) होंगे। अभी रुइया इंडस टावर्स के सीएफओ हैं।

• विश्व भर में 22 मई 2019 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस मनाया जा रहा है। जैव-विविधता दिवस को प्राकृतिक एवं पर्यावरण संतुलन बनाए रखने में जैव-विविधता का महत्व देखते हुए ही अंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया।

• जैव विविधता का तात्पर्य विभिन्न प्रकार के जीव−जंतु और पेड़-पौधों का अस्तित्व धरती पर एक साथ बनाए रखने से होता है। जैव विविधता की कमी से बाढ़, सूखा और तूफान आदि जैसी प्राकृतिक आपदा का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। पारिस्थितिक संतुलन को बनाये रखने तथा खाद्यान्न उत्पादन बढ़ाने में भी जैव विविधता की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है।

• अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस-2019 का विषय “हमारी जैव विविधता, हमारा खाद्य एवं हमारा स्वास्थ्य (Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health)” हैं। इस वर्ष की थीम भी इसलिए जैव विविधता को भोजन की उपलब्ध विविधता और स्वास्थ्य चिताओं के उद्देश्य के लिए रखी गयी है। इस थीम का मुख्य उद्देश्य हमारी खाद्य प्रणाली में बदलाव और मानव स्वास्थ्य में सुधार के उत्प्रेरक रूप में भोजन व स्वास्थ्य के आधार के रूप में जैव विविधता को रखना हैं।

अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता का उद्देश्य

• अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता का उद्देश्य ऐसे पर्यावरण का निर्माण करना है, जो जैव विविधता में समृद्ध, टिकाऊ एवं आर्थिक गतिविधियों हेतु अवसर प्रदान कर सके। इसमें विशेष तौर पर वनों की सुरक्षा, संस्कृति, जीवन के कला शिल्प, संगीत, वस्त्र-भोजन, औषधीय पौधों का महत्व आदि को प्रदर्शित करके जैव-विविधता के महत्व और उसके न होने पर होने वाले खतरों के बारे में जागरूक करना है।

पुरस्‍कार:

ओमान की लेखिका ने जीता मैन बुकर इंटरनेशनल अवार्ड

• ओमान की लेखिका जोखा अल-हार्थी को उनकी किताब 'सेलेस्टियल बॉडीज' के लिए इस साल का मैन बुकर इंटरनेशनल अवार्ड दिया गया है। जोखा साहित्य जगत का यह प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार हासिल करने वाली अरब जगत की पहली लेखिका हैं। पुरस्कार के रूप में मिली 64 हजार डॉलर (करीब 44 लाख रुपये) की इनामी राशि वह अमेरिकी मार्लिन बूथ के साथ साझा करेंगी। मार्लिन ने उनकी किताब का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद किया था।

• 'सेलेस्टियल बॉडीज' ओमान के अल-अवाफी गांव में रहने वाली तीन बहनों के जरिये वहां उपनिवेशवाद खत्म होने के बाद हो रहे बदलाव की कहानी है। लंदन के राउंडहाउस में मंगलवार को आयोजित पुरस्कार समारोह में जोखा ने कहा, 'मैं बहुत खुश हूं कि अब अरब की सभ्यता और संस्कृति के लिए भी साहित्य जगत के दरवाजे खुल गए हैं। मुझे उम्मीद है कि दुनियाभर के पाठक इस उपन्यास से खुद को जोड़ पाएंगे।' मस्कट की सुल्तान काबुस यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रोफेसर जोखा ने इडेनबर्ग यूनिवर्सिटी से अरबी काव्य की पढ़ाई की है। वह अरबी भाषा में तीन उपन्यास, बच्चों की एक किताब और दो लघु कहानी संग्रह लिख चुकी हैं।

• मैन बुकर इंटरनेशनल अवार्ड दुनियाभर में लिखे गए उपन्यासों के अंग्रेजी अनुवाद को दिया जाता है। 2005 में शुरू हुआ यह अवार्ड पहले हर दो साल पर दिया जाता था। 2016 से यह हर वर्ष दिया जाने लगा। पुरस्कार की राशि लेखक और अनुवादक के बीच बंटती है। इस साल के अवार्ड के लिए जोखा समेत पांच लेखिकाएं और कोलंबिया के उपन्यासकार जुआन गर्बियल नामित थे।

PCT Humanity entered the Guinness Book of World Records for its hunger relief efforts.

• PCT Humanity, a charity run by an Indian, in the UAE has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for its hunger relief efforts during the holy month of Ramzan in Abu Dhabi. The charity set the new Guinness World Records for “Longest Line of Hunger Relief Package” in Abu Dhabi.

Adjudicated by Douglas Palau, the attempt saw iftar meals containing seven items spread in a line without keeping any gap between the packages for a kilometre.

Joginder Singh Salaria's, founder of PCT Humanity, efforts were in continuation to the vegetarian iftar held daily at the premises of his company Pehal International, Dubai Industrial Park. The main aim of the charity is to feed people pure vegetarian food to stay healthy and fit and also save animals.

Reliance beats Indian Oil, becomes India's biggest firm by revenue.

• Asia's richest person Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has toppled state-run Indian Oil to become India's largest company by revenue. Reliance reported revenue of ₹6.23 lakh crore for 2018-19 compared to Indian Oil's ₹6.17 lakh crore. With this milestone, Reliance has achieved the number one position in India in terms of revenue, profit and market capitalisation.

Joko Widodo has been elected President of Indonesia for the second term.

• Indonesia’s Joko Widodo has been re-elected as President of the country. He beat his rival Prabowo Subianto, a retired general.

Widodo and his vice-presidential running mate Ma’ruf Amin won the election by a 55.5% to 44.5%margin over Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno.

Widodo's PDI-P finished first in the People's Representative Council (DPR) election with 19.33%, followed by Prabowo's Gerindra with 12.57%. The next top parties by the number of votes are Golkar, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Nasdem Party, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

Joko Widodo:

Joko Widodo is an Indonesian politician who is the seventh and current President of Indonesia.

Elected in July 2014 as the first Indonesian president to not come from an elite political or military background, he was previously the Mayor of Surakarta from 2005 to 2012, and the Governor of Jakarta from 2012 to 2014.

He belongs to the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.

Indonesia General election:

• General elections were held in Indonesia on 17 April 2019.

• For the first time in the country's history, the president, the vice president, members of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), and members of local legislative bodies were elected on the same day with over 190 million eligible voters.

• Sixteen parties participated in the elections nationally, including four new parties.

The election was a re-match of the 2014 presidential election, in which Widodo defeated Prabowo. The election was described as "one of the most complicated single-day ballots in global history".

Moin ul Haque appointed as Pakistans High Commissioner to India.

• Pakistan announced career diplomat Moin ul Haque as its new High Commissioner to India. The appointment was formally approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He is the current ambassador of Pakistan in France.

• Haque replaces Sohail Mehmood. The post of High Commissioner to India fell vacant after Sohail Mehmood was appointed Pakistan's new foreign secretary.

• Pakistan has announced new ambassadors to 18 countries including China, Japan, and Brussels. The decision came after a detailed meeting with Prime Minister Khan, who formally approved the new appointments.

Other appointments:

• In Beijing, Naghmana Hashmi will replace Masood Khalid, the incumbent envoy to China, after completion of his tenure. Additional Secretary Imtiaz Ahmad has been appointed Ambassador to Japan, while Zaheer Janjua, currently serving as additional secretary in Europe, will look after the Pakistani mission in Brussels.

• Sarfaraz Ahmad was appointed as ambassador to Sudan, Imran Haider as ambassador in Tajikistan, Major General Abdul Aziz Tariq in Brunei and Major General Muhammad Khalid Rao in Bosnia Herzegovina.

• Ambassador in Kuwait Ghulam Dastagir will replace Muazzam Ali Khan in Abu Dhabi, while Qazi Khalilullah, serving asambassador in Russia, was being given an extension of six months.

The newly-appointed ambassadors and consul generals will play a pivotal in promoting the soft image of Pakistan and will adopt the best behaviour with Pakistani community living abroad.

• Every year May 21 is observed as Anti-Terrorism day in India. The day is observed in the memory offormer Indian PM Mr. Rajiv Gandhi who passed away on this day. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated at an election rally near Chennai by a suicide bomber from the LTTE on 21 May 1991. On this day the Centre intends to spread awareness among the people about the danger of terrorism and violence and its effect on the people, society and the country as a whole.

• The Ministry of Home Affairs requested all Varsities and affiliated colleges to observe the day. • The objective behind the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day is to wean away the people from terrorism and violence. Its motive is to promote unity, peace and harmony across the nation.

• The Purpose of observing World Anti-Terrorism Day is:

• To spread the message of global peace and non-violence

• Deter vulnerable youth from following cult practices and being misguided

गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड / दुबई में हुई सबसे लंबी इफ्तार पार्टी, एक किमी लंबी लाइन और हर पैकेट में 7 व्यंजन

• यूएई में भारतीयों द्वारा संचालित एक न्यास ने शाकाहारी रोजा इफ्तार पार्टी दी। इसे गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में जगह मिली है। पीसीटी ह्यूमैनिटी के संस्थापक जोगिंदर सिंह सलारिया ने बताया, ‘‘उनकी चैरिटी संस्था पहल इंटरनेशनल, दुबई इंडस्ट्रियल पार्क के परिसर में पहले भी रोजा इफ्तार पार्टी आयोजित करती रही है। शनिवार को आबू धाबी में आयोजित हुई इस इफ्तार पार्टी में बड़ी संख्या में लोग शामिल हुए। इसे लंबी इफ्तार पार्टी के रूप में गिनीज ने इसे चुना है।’’

• उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘यह हम सभी के लिए अविश्वसनीय और मुस्कुराने वाला पल था। हम लोगों के जीवन को बदलने के लिए लंबी यात्रा करते आ रहे हैं। वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड के इतर हमारा उद्देश्य रोजा रखने वालों को शुद्ध शाकाहारी भोजन कराना है, ताकि वे स्वस्थ और तंदुस्त रहें। साथ ही जानवरों को भी कटने से बचाया जा सके।’’

रेवेन्यू के मामले में भारत की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी बनी RIL, इंडियन ऑयल को छोड़ा पीछे

• मुकेश अंबानी के स्वामित्व वाली रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज (Reliance Industries) ने एक और बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल की है। वित्त वर्ष 2018-19 में इंडियन ऑयल को पीछे छोड़कर आरआईएल (RIL) रेवेन्यू के मामले में भारत की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी बन गई। आरआईएल ने 5.67 लाख करोड़ रुपए के रेवेन्यू अर्जित करके इंडियन ऑयल (Indian Oil) यानी आईओसी (IOC) की 11 साल की बादशाहत खत्म की।

आरआईएल का रेवेन्यू 44.8 फीसदी बढ़ा

• ब्लूमबर्ग की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, वित्त वर्ष 2018-19 के दौरान आरआईएल का रेवेन्यू 44.8 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ 5.67 लाख करोड़ रुपए के स्तर पर पहुंच गया, वहीं आईओसी (IOC) का रेवेन्यू 28.03 फीसदी बढ़कर 5.28 लाख करोड़ रुपए के स्तर पर पहुंच गया। अगर रोजाना का औसत निकालें तो वित्त वर्ष के दौरान आरआईएल ने रोज 1553 करोड़ रुपए और आईओसी ने लगभग 1446 करोड़ रुपए का रेवेन्यू हासिल किया। इस प्रकार आरआईएल की तुलना में आईओसी का रेवेन्यू पूरे साल में लगभग 38,986 करोड़ रुपए कम रहा।

• रेवेन्यू, मुनाफे और मार्केट कैप तीनों मानक पर सबसे बड़ी कंपनी बनी

इस उपलब्धि के साथ आरआईएल रेवेन्यू, मुनाफे और मार्केट कैप सभी तीनों मानकों पर देश की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी बन गई है। मजबूत रिफाइनिंग मार्जिन और रिटेल बिजनेस पर जोर दिए जाने से आरआईएल ने वित्त वर्ष 2010 और वित्त वर्ष 2019 के बीच 14.1 फीसदी सीएजीआर ग्रोथ दर्ज की थी। इसके विपरीत आईओसी का रेवेन्यू इस अवधि के दौरान सिर्फ 6.3 फीसदी की दर से बढ़ा।

देश में शीर्ष आरआरबी प्रदर्शनकर्ता में से एक है त्रिपुरा ग्रामीण बैंक:

• त्रिपुरा ग्रामीण बैंक लाभ, व्यापार और वृद्धि के मामले में भारत के शीर्ष तीन क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों (आरआरबी) में से एक है। वर्तमान में भारत में 45 क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंक हैं, जिनमें से त्रिपुरा ग्रामीण बैंक देश में तीसरे स्थान पर है। त्रिपुरा ग्रामीण बैंक ने वित्त वर्ष 2018-19 में 7 लगातार वर्षों के लिए 125.45 करोड़ रुपये का लाभ कमाया है। बैंक ने 9,000 करोड़ रुपये का कारोबार भी किया, जिसमें शून्य प्रतिशत का गैर-निष्पादित परिसंपत्ति (एनपीए) और 8.94 प्रतिशत का सकल एनपीए था।

• त्रिपुरा ग्रामीण बैंक में, केंद्र सरकार की 50% हिस्सेदारी है, यूनियन बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया की 35% हिस्सेदारी है और बाकी 15% हिस्सेदारी त्रिपुरा सरकार के पास है।

• जोको विडोडो लगातार दूसरी बार इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति चुने गये हैं। निर्वाचन आयोग ने आधिकारिक परिणाम की समय से पूर्व अचानक 21 मई 2019 को घोषणा की। विडोडो पांच साल के लिए दोबारा इस पद की जिम्मेदारी संभालने के लिए तैयार हैं।

• आयोग ने बताया कि इंडोनेशियन डेमोक्रेटिक पार्टी ऑफ स्ट्रगल के सदस्य जोको विडोडो ने अपने प्रतिद्वंदी एवं सेवानिवृत्त जनरल प्राबोवो सुबियांतो को हराया। आयोग को 17 अप्रैल 2019 को हुए चुनावों की घोषणा 22 मई को करनी थी, लेकिन अशांति की आशंका के कारण परिणाम का पहले ही खुलासा कर दिया गया। आयोग के मुताबिक जोको विडोडो ने 55.5 प्रतिशत से लेकर 44.5 प्रतिशत तक के अंतर से जीत हासिल की है। उन्होंने साल 2014 के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में प्राबोवो सुबियांतो का हरा दिया था। वहीं, इस बार के चुनाव में विडोडो ने अपनी जीत का दावा किया था।

जोको विडोडो के बारे में:

• जोको विडोडो का जन्म 21 जून 1961 को हुआ था। सुबियांतो और सुहार्तो के सैन्य शासन के दौरान जोको विडोडो इंडोनेशिया की सेना के जनरल रह चुके हैं। जोको विडोडो साल 2014 में इंडोनेशिया के सातवें राष्ट्रपति के तौर पर चुने गए थे।

जोको विडोडो साल 2014 के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में:

जोको विडोडो ने 22 जुलाई 2014 को इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति का चुनाव जीता था। जोको विडोडो ने मतदान के 53 प्रतिशत मत प्राप्त कर यह चुनाव जीता था। चुनाव परिणाम के अनुसार, विडोडो ने 70997859 वोट, या लगभग 133 मिलियन वैध मतपत्र का 53.15 प्रतिशत मतों के साथ जीत दर्ज की थी। दूसरी ओर, सुबियांतो ने 62576444 वोट या मतदान का 46.85 प्रतिशत मत प्राप्त किया था।

मुइनुल हक भारत में पाकिस्तान के नए उच्चायुक्त नियुक्त

• पाकिस्तान ने राजनयिक मुइनुल हक को सोमवार को भारत में अपना नया उच्चायुक्त नियुक्त किया। प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान ने सोमवार को भारत, चीन और जापान सहित करीब दो दर्जन देशों में पाकिस्तान के नए उच्चायुक्तों/राजदूतों की नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दी। हक फिलहाल फ्रांस में पाकिस्तान के राजदूत हैं।

• पाकिस्तान के नए विदेश सचिव के रूप में सोहेल महमूद की नियुक्ति के बाद से ही भारत में पाकिस्तानी उच्चायुक्त का पद रिक्त था। विदेश मंत्री शाह महमूद कुरैशी ने एक वीडियो संदेश में कहा, 'नई दिल्ली, भारत, बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। सलाह-मशविरे के बाद मैंने फ्रांस में मौजूदा राजदूत मुइनुल हक को नियुक्त करने का फैसला लिया है। उन्हें दिल्ली भेजा जाएगा, आशा है कि वह बेहतर करेंगे।'

• वहीं कुरैशी ने हाल ही में हुए भारतीय लोकसभा चुनाव की ओर भी इशारा किया। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत में चुनावी प्रक्रिया खत्म होने वाली है और यह संभव है कि चुनाव के बाद बातचीत का नया सिलसिला शुरू हो।

• बता दें कि भारत में हुए लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए 19 मई को मतदान खत्म हुआ है। सात चरणों में हुए इस मतदान के लिए 542 सीटों पर वोट डाले गए। वहीं मतगणना 23 मई को होगी। हालांकि मतगणना से पहले आए एग्जिट पोल में एनडीए की सरकार के दोबारा सत्ता में आने के संकेत दिए गए हैं।

• बीजिंग में, नागहम्ना हाशमी अपने कार्यकाल के पूरा होने के बाद, चीन के प्रमुख दूत मसूद खालिद का स्थान लेंगे। अतिरिक्त सचिव इम्तियाज अहमद को जापान में राजदूत नियुक्त किया गया है, जबकि वर्तमान में यूरोप में अतिरिक्त सचिव के रूप में कार्यरत ज़हीर जांजुआ ब्रसेल्स में पाकिस्तानी मिशन की देखभाल करेंगे।

• सरफराज अहमद को सूडान में राजदूत, तजाकिस्तान में राजदूत के रूप में इमरान हैदर, ब्रुनेई में मेजर जनरल अब्दुल अजीज तारिक और बोस्निया हर्जेनिना में मेजर जनरल मुहम्मद खालिद राव को नियुक्त किया गया।

• कुवैत में राजदूत गुलाम दस्तगीर अबू धाबी में मुअज्जम अली खान की जगह लेंगे, जबकि काजी खलीलुल्लाह, रूस में असम्बेसडर की सेवा दे रहे थे, उन्हें छह महीने का विस्तार दिया जा रहा था।

• नवनियुक्त राजदूत और कौंसल जनरल्स पाकिस्तान की नरम छवि को बढ़ावा देने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे और विदेशों में रह रहे पाकिस्तानी समुदाय के साथ सबसे अच्छा व्यवहार अपनाएंगे।

• आज के समय में दुनिया जिन समस्याओं का सामना कर रही है, उनमें सबसे बड़ी और अहम समस्या आतंकवाद है। आतंकवाद के कारण हजारों लोगों को दुनिया में अपनी जान गंवानी पड़ी है और भारत समेत कई देशों को काफी नुकसान उठाना पड़ रहा है। आतंकवाद जैसी समस्या से निपटने के लिए भारत ने 21 मई का दिन ही इसको समर्पित कर दिया है। हर साल 21 मई को पूरे देश में आतंकवाद विरोधी दिवस मनाया जाता है। इसका मकसद लोगों को आतंकवाद के समाज विरोधी कृत्य से लोगों को अवगत कराना है। आतंकवाद की वजह से लोगों को जानमाल का कितना नुकसान उठाना पड़ता है, उससे भी लोगों को अवगत कराया जाता है।

21 मई को ही क्यों मनाया जाता है आतंकवाद विरोधी दिवस?

• 21 मई, 1991 को तमिलनाडु के श्रीपेरंबदूर में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी की हत्या कर दी गई थी। उनकी हत्या के बाद ही 21 मई को आतंकवाद विरोधी दिवस के तौर पर मनाने का फैसला किया गया। इस दिन हर सरकारी कार्यालयों, सरकारी उपक्रमों और अन्य सरकारी संस्थानों में आतंकवाद विरोधी शपथ दिलाई जाती है।

राजीव गांधी की हत्या

• चौधरी चरण सिंह के बाद राजीव गांधी देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने थे। वह तमिलनाडु के श्रीपेरंबदूर में एक रैली को संबोधित करने गए थे। उसी दौरान एक महिला उनके सामने आई। महिला का संबंध आतंकवादी संगठन एलटीटीई से था। उसके कपड़ों के नीचे विस्फोटक छिपा था। वह जैसे ही राजीव गांधी का पैर छूने के लिए झुकी तेज धमाका हुआ। उस धमाके में राजीव गांधी समेत करीब 25 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी।

Govt plans introducing artificial intelligence system in MCA 21 portal

• The union governmentplans to introduce artificial intelligence system in the MCA 21 portal as it seeks to make the compliance process easier as well as ensure routine enforcement activities are done round-the-clock on autopilot basis.

MCA 21 is the electronic backbone for the dissemination of information to all stakeholders, including the regulator, corporates and investors.

• All filings under the companies law are submitted to the ministry through this portal.

• Ministry of Corporate Affairs Secretary Injeti Srinivas has said the ministry would like to introduce Artificial Intelligence in MCA 21 when version 3 of the portal is rolled out in about a year's time.

India sets Guinness World Records of largest laundry lesson with the participation of 400 young men

• India achieved a Guinness World Records of ‘largest laundry lesson’ with the participation of 400 young Indian men.

The event was a part of #sharetheload campaign.

• It was done to share the responsibility of cleaning clothes at home along with the female members of the family

The event was initiated by Ariel India.

• It was hosted by Mandira Bedi and Indian Actor Anil Kapoor also joined the function.Earlier, the largest laundry lesson was achieved by Lion NANOX Team (Japan) at Lion Hirai Research Laboratory in Edogawa, Tokyo, Japan on November 29, 2017. It had 318 people.

Kerala became first state to list Masala Bond in overseas market

• Kerala became the first state to tap into masala bond market by listing the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB)’s masala bond worth of USD 312 million (Rs 2,150 crore) in London Stock Exchange (LSE)’s International Securities Market (ISM).

• The masala bond has tenor of 5-year and a 9.723% coupon

Kerala’s state finance minister Thomas Issac executed this move.

• The main objective of this initiative was to tap masala bond market and to rebuild the infrastructure in Kerala from the proceeds of masala bond.

BSNL partnered with Google for expanding WiFi footprint

• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) partnered with Google on the occasion of World Telecom Day.

• The main objective is to expand BSNL Wifi footprint in the country.

Currently, there are around 38,000 BSNL Wifi hotspot locations working across the country and one can use these after buying the Wi-Fi vouchers worth of Rs 19 and more.

Panel submits report on digital payments to RB

• A Reserve Bank of India-appointed committee on ‘suggestions on promoting digital payment’. It was headed by Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani has submitted its suggestions on promoting Payment and Settlement Systems in India: Vision 2019 - 2021, digital payments to Governor Shaktikanta Das.

• The five-member panel was encouraging digitisation of payments and enhance financial inclusion through digitisation.

RBI will examine the recommendations of the committee and will link the action points, wherever necessary, in its Payment Systems Vision 2021 for implementation.

• केंद्र सरकार एमसीए 21 पोर्टल को कृत्रिम मेधा (आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस) से जोड़ने की तैयारी कर रही है। सरकार ऐसा कर के नियमों के अनुपालन को और अधिक आसान बनाना तथा नियमों का सामान्य प्रवर्तन निरंतर स्वचालित आधार पर करना चाहता है।

एमसीए 21 क्या है?

डिजिटल पेमेंट की सुविधाओं में आ रहा सुधार, अब आफलाइन होने पर भी फोन से होगा भुगतान

• देश में डिजिटल पेमेंट की सुविधा में तो तेजी से सुधार हो रहा है इसके इस्तेमाल में एक बड़ी समस्या यह आ रही है देश की अधिकांश जनता के पास अभी भी इंटरनेट सुविधा वाला मोबाइल फोन नहीं है। अब आरबीआइ ऐसी व्यवस्था लागू करने की तैयारी में है जिससे आफलाइन होने के बावजूद मोबाइल फोन से खरीद बिक्री में भुगतान हो सकेगा। यह सुविधा आरबीआई दो वर्षो के भीतर लागू कर देगा। इस बात की जानकारी केंद्रीय बैंक ने अगले दो वर्षो (वर्ष 2019-2021) के दौरान देश की पेमेंट व सेटेलमेंट सिस्टम पर जारी रिपोर्ट में दी है। इस रिपोर्ट में बैंक यह बताता है कि अगले दो वर्षो के दौरान देश में वित्तीय लेन-देन को लेकर वह क्या क्या कदम उठाने वाला है।

• इसके अलावा फीचर फोन के जरिए भुगतान को भी बढ़ावा देने की बात केंद्रीय बैंक ने कही है। आरबीआइ के मुताबिक फरवरी, 2019 तक देश में 118.4 करोड़ मोबाइल कनेक्शन है। इसमें 53.2 करोड़ इंटरनेट का इस्तेमाल करते हैं। ऐसे में फीचर फोन और आफलाइन होने पर भुगतान की व्यवस्था की जरुरत ज्यादा महसूस की जा रही है। इसके लिए आरबीआइ निजी क्षेत्र के साथ मिल कर काम करेगा। केंद्रीय बैंक ने बताया है कि डिजिटल भुगतान को समाज के हर वर्ग तक पहुंचाने के लिए यह जरुरी है।

NATIONAL:

Lokpal website launched in the country.

• The website of the Lokpal www.lokpal.gov.in has been launched in India. It was inaugurated by Chairperson Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose in presence of all the Members of Lokpal in New Delhi.

• It provides basic information about the working and functioning of the anti-corruption ombudsman.

• The Lokpal is the first institution of its kind in India established under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013to inquire and investigate into allegations of the corruption against public functionaries.

About the Lokpal Act:

The Lokpal Act, which was passed in 2013 after a nationwide anti-corruption movement. The act provides for setting up of Lokpal at the centre and Lokayuktas in the States.

• It has jurisdiction over all Members of Parliament, central government employees, and top functionaries and public servants, including the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers in cases of corruption.

About Lokpal:

The Lokpal consists of a Chairperson and eight members. Four of the judicial members have been former Chief Justices of different High Courts and the four non-judicial members have been from All India Services/Central Services.

• First Chairperson of the Lokpal is Shri Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose is a former Judge of Supreme Court of India and was a sitting member of National Human Rights Commission.

• Judicial members are Shri Justice Dilip B Bhosale, Shri Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty, Smt. Justice Abhilasha Kumari, Shri Justice Ajay Kumar Triphathi.

Non-Judicial members are Shri Dinesh Kumar Jain, Smt. Archana Ramasundaram, Shri Mahender Singh, Dr. Indrajeet Prasad Gautam.

CBIC introduced weightage system for appointments under compassionate appointment scheme.

• Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) introduced a weighting system for appointments under compassionate grounds which will be based on nine criteria like family income, dependents, remaining service period of the deceased, etc.

• The main objective is to ensure objectivity, transparency, and uniformity in the selection process for appointments on the compassionate ground.

• The government appoints the dependent member of a government employee under compassionate appointment scheme on the grounds of medical condition or that employee dying in harness.

• The guidelines for appointment are issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and CBIC introduced a weighted points system for its cadres according to the guidelines of DoPT.

INTERNATIONAL:

China to host 2023 Asian Cup.

• China has become the sole contender to host the Asian Cup Football tournament in 2023. The announcement came after South Korea has announced to withdraw its bid to host the game.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced that it had pulled out to strategically focus on a joint bid with North Korea to host the Women’s World Cup in the same year.

• China's interest to host:

• In February 2013, China suggested interest in hosting the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. However, in September 2013, the CFA withdrew its bid.

• In late 2015, the CFA confirmed their intention to bid for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. In March 2019 China had officially proposed to bid for the 2023 Asian Cup. China has previously hosted the 2004 Asian Cup.

About 2023 AFC Asian Cup:

The 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup will be the 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup. It is organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The tournament will involve 24 national teams.

Taiwan becomes 1st Asian country to legalise same-sex marriage.

• Taiwan has become the first Asian country to legalise same-sex marriage following a vote on Friday. In 2017, the island's constitutional court ruled that same-sex couples had the right to legally marry. Taiwan's parliament was given a two-year deadline and was required to pass the changes by May 24.

AGREEMENTS AND MOUS:

Sony, Microsoft partners to build future cloud solutions for gaming and content streaming.

• Sony and Microsoft have announced a partnership to build future cloud solutions supporting both gaming and content streaming alongside AI solutions.

• PlayStation maker Sony will use Xbox maker Microsoft's data centres and Azure cloud computing service for its existing game and streaming platforms. In return, Microsoft will gain access to Sony's image sensors.

• The partnership comes as Google works to disrupt the video game world with a Stadia platform that will let players stream blockbuster titles to any device they wish. The Stadia platform will open to gamers later this year in the United States, Canada, Britain and other parts of Europe.

• Google is focused on working with game makers to tailor titles for play on Stadia. It has already provided the technology to more than 100 game developers. The Stadia tech platform aims to connect people for interactive play on PCs, tablets, smartphones and other devices.

• Streaming games from the cloud brings the potential to tap into massive amounts of computing power in data centers.

APPOINTMENTS AND RESIGNATIONS:

Retd. Justice Lokur appointed as a judge of SC of Fijis non resident panel.

• The Retired judge of Indian Supreme Court Justice Madan B Lokur is appointed as ajudge of Supreme Court of Fiji's non-resident panel. He has been appointed in the new role for a period of three years.

• The Supreme Court of Fiji has three sessions in a year. Justice Lokur will join it for the session from August 15 to August 30, 2019.

• Justice Lokur was retired as a Supreme Court justice on December 31, 2018. It is likely that Justice Lokur received the offer from Chief Justice of the Fiji Supreme Court on the day of his retirement itself.

About Justice Lokur:

Justice Lokur became a judge of the Supreme Court on June 4, 2012. He enrolled as an advocate in July 1977 and practised in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.

He became an Advocate on Record in the Supreme Court in 1981 and was designated Senior Advocate in 1997. He was appointed Additional Solicitor General in 1998 and continue in that position until February 1999 when he became an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court and made a permanent judge in July 1999.

Cyril Ramaphosa re-elected as President of South Africa.

• African National Congress (ANC) won South African elections with majority and secured 57.51 percent votes and Cyril Ramaphosa elected as South African President.

Last year in February 2018, Cyril Ramaphosa elected as South African President after President Jacob Zuma resigned from the post due to charges of corruption

This was the first time that African National Congress has got less than 60 percent votes in national polls.

• US-based home-renting platform Airbnb has appointed Angela Ahrendts, former Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple, as its third independent non-affiliated board member. Ahrendts joined Apple in 2014 after serving as CEO of the British fashion house Burberry for eight years. Notably, Ahrendts had been one of the highest-paid employees at Apple with total compensation of $26.5 million in 2018.

World Hypertension Day is celebrated on 17th May.

• World Hypertension Day (WHD) is celebrated on 17th May. WHD was designated and initiated by the World Hypertension League (WHL). The day was initiated to increase the awareness of hypertension. This was especially important because of the lack of appropriate knowledge among hypertensive patients.

• The WHL launched its first WHD on May 14, 2005. Since 2006, the WHL has been dedicating May 17 of every year as WHD. The theme for World Hypertension Day 2019 is Know Your Numbers. The theme is with a goal of increasing high blood pressure (BP) awareness in all populations around the world. In 2019, WHL in conjunction with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) will also promote May Measurement Month (MMM).

• World Hypertension League (WHL):

It was established in 1966. WHL an umbrella to organizations of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues.

World Telecommunication Day is observed on 17 May.

• World Telecommunication Day is celebrated annually on 17 May since 1969. It marks the founding of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865, Paris.

It was instituted by the Plenipotentiary Conference in Malaga-Torremolinos in 1973.

The day is celebrated with a view to:

लोकपाल की वेबसाइट शुरू, शिकायत करने का प्रारूप जल्द होगा जारी

• लोकपाल की वेबसाइट (www.lokpal.gov.in) गुरुवार से शुरू हो गई। लोकपाल के चैयरपर्सन जस्टिस पिनाकी चंद्र घोष ने इसका उद्घाटन किया। लोकपाल से शिकायत करने का प्रारूप भी केंद्र सरकार जल्द जारी करने वाली है।

अधिसूचित प्रारूप में दाखिल होंगी शिकायतें

• नियमों के मुताबिक लोकपाल से शिकायत सिर्फ सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचित प्रारूप में ही दाखिल की जा सकती है। लेकिन लोकपाल ने फैसला किया है कि 16 अप्रैल, 2019 तक प्राप्त सभी शिकायतों की छानबीन की जाएगी, भले ही वे किसी भी प्रारूप में भेजी गई हों। छानबीन के बाद जो शिकायतें लोकपाल के दायरे से बाहर होंगी, उन्हें खारिज कर दिया जाएगा और शिकायतकर्ता को उसकी जानकारी भी दी जाएगी। वेबसाइट के मुताबिक, लोकपाल का कार्यालय दिल्ली के चाणक्यपुरी स्थित होटल 'द अशोक' में स्थित है।

लोकपाल के चेयरपर्सन: जस्टिस पीसी घोष

• मालूम हो कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पूर्व न्यायाधीश जस्टिस पिनाकी चंद्र घोष (66) को राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने 23 मार्च, 2019 को लोकपाल के चैयरपर्सन के रूप में शपथ दिलाई थी। लोकपाल में चार न्यायिक और चार गैर-न्यायिक सदस्य हैं। विभिन्न हाई कोर्टो के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश जस्टिस दिलीप बी. भोसले, प्रदीप कुमार मोहंती, अभिलाषा कुमारी और अजय कुमार त्रिपाठी इसके न्यायिक सदस्य हैं।

सीबीआईसी ने अनुकंपा नियुक्ति योजना के तहत नियुक्तियों के लिए भार प्रणाली की शुरुआत की।

• केंद्रीय अप्रत्यक्ष कर और सीमा शुल्क बोर्ड (CBIC) ने अनुकंपा के आधार पर नियुक्तियों के लिए एक भार प्रणाली की शुरुआत की, जो परिवार की आय, आश्रितों, मृतक की शेष सेवा अवधि आदि जैसे नौ मानदंडों पर आधारित होगी।

• मुख्य उद्देश्य अनुकंपा पर नियुक्ति के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया में निष्पक्षता, पारदर्शिता और एकरूपता सुनिश्चित करना है।

चीन 2023 एशियाई कप फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी करेगा

• दक्षिण कोरिया ने खेल की मेजबानी के लिए अपनी बोली को वापस लेने की घोषणा के बाद चीन 2023 में एशियाई कप फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी करने वाला एकमात्र दावेदार बन गया है। कोरिया फुटबॉल संघ (KFA) ने घोषणा की है कि वर्ष 2023 में ही महिला विश्व कप की मेजबानी के लिए उत्तर कोरिया के साथ संयुक्त बोली पर रणनीतिक रूप से अपना नाम वापस ले लिया है।

समलैंगिक विवाह को मान्यता देने वाला पहला एशियाई देश बना ताइवान

• ताइवान में पहली बार समलैंगिक विवाह को वैध घोषित किया गया है और एशिया में ऐसा करनेवाला वह पहला देश बन गया है। इस द्वीपीय देश के सांसदों ने शुक्रवार को एक विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी जिससे समलैंगिक जोडों को ''विशिष्ट स्थायी संघ" बनाने और सरकारी एजेंसियों में ''विवाह के लिए पंजीकरण" कराने की अनुमति दी गई। ताइवान की संसद में रूढ़िवादी सांसदों ने इस विधेयक का विरोध किया बावजूद समलैंगिक विवाह को कानूनी तौर पर स्वीकृति दे दी गई।

फिजी सुप्रीम कोर्ट में नियुक्त हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सेवानिवृत्त जज लोकुर

• सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सेवानिवृत्त जस्टिस मदन बी लोकुर को फिजी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने यहां नियुक्त किया है। फिजी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने अनिवासी पैनल में उनकी नियुक्ति की है। इस पद पर नियुक्त होने वाले वह भारत के सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पहले जज होंगे। उनकी नियुक्ति तीन साल के लिए होगी।

फिजी में भारतीय मूल की है बड़ी आबादी

• जस्टिस लोकुर ने कहा, 'फिजी सुप्रीम कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश ने उन्हें अपना हिस्सा बनने के लिए आमंत्रित किया था। मुझे यह प्रस्ताव बहुत अच्छा लगा और मैंने उसे स्वीकार कर लिया।' फिजी में भारतीय मूल के लोगों की बड़ी आबादी है।

सेवानिवृत्ति होने के दिन ही मिला ऑफर

जस्टिस लोकुर सुप्रीम कोर्ट से 31 दिसंबर, 2018 को सेवानिवृत्त हुए थे और उसी दिन फिजी सुप्रीम कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश की तरफ से उन्हें नियुक्ति पत्र मिला था। वह 15 अगस्त को अपना पदभार ग्रहण करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जज के रूप में काम करने के अनुभव का उन्हें लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि वह दूसरे देश के जजों के साथ काम करने को लेकर उत्साहित हैं। वह फिजी के न्याय वितरण प्रणाली को मजबूत करने की कोशिश करेंगे।

• India's second Moon mission, Chandrayaan-2, that's planned for a July launch will have 13 payloads and one passive experiment from American space agency NASA, ISRO said on Wednesday. The spacecraft with a 3.8-tonne mass has three modules- orbiter, lander, and rover. Eight of the 13 Indian payloads will be on orbiter, three will be on lander and two on rover.

Alabama Senate passes bill to ban abortion.

• The Alabama Senate has passed the most restrictive abortion Bill in the U.S., which places a near-total ban on the termination of pregnancy (abortion), even in cases of rape and incest, and could punish doctors who perform the procedure with life in prison. •The text passed by the Republican-led Senate has been sent to Governor Kay Ivey’s desk for signature into law and, if approved, is expected to trigger a legal battle.

Under the Bill:

• Performing an abortion is a crime that could land doctors who perform it in prison for 10 to 99 years

• Abortions would only be legal if the life of the mother is in danger or the foetus has a fatal condition

• ACLU, the largest human rights defence organisation in the United States, promised to file a lawsuit to block its implementation. The Republican-led Senate approved the measure by 25 votes to six.

• The National Organization for Women called the bill unconstitutional and said its passage would send women in the state back to the dark days of policymakers having control over their bodies, health, and lives.

India signed the Christchurch Call to Action in Paris.

• India signed the Christchurch Call to Action in Paris. The agreement came in the backdrop of the attacks on Christchurch in March and is aimed at stopping the abuse of the Internet by extremists.

RBI plans to achieve a highly digital and cash lite society.

• Reserve Bank of India on May 15 released a vision document, 'Payment and Settlement Systems in India: Vision 2019 - 2021', with its core theme of Empowering Exceptional (E) payment Experience that aims to achieve a highly digital and cash-lite society.

• RBI targets to:

• Increase digital payment transaction of GDP by 15%

• Increase payment system operators

• fourfold increase in digital transactions

• increase debit card transactions by 35%

• increase total card acceptance infrastructure to six times

• Reduce currency in circulation with no specific target

• Reduce the volume of cheque-based payments to less than 2%

• Reduce pricing of electronic payment services by at least 100 basis points

• Improve the security of digital payment systems

• Facilitate mobile-based payment transactions

• To achieve these objectives, the RBI outlined specific actions to take over the next two years. Some of these include:

• Set up self-regulatory bodies for payment system operators, develop feature phone-based payment services to complement smartphone-based services and develop offline payment solutions and USSD-based payment solutions

• Improve interoperability and build capability to process transactions of one system in another and explore the adoption of newer technologies, including distributed ledger technology for enhancement of digital payment services.

• Encourage standing instructions for payment transactions and Push contact-less payments and tokenization. It plans to improve the use of bill discounting systems or TReDs and increase coverage of the cheque truncation system.

• इसरो ने बुधवार को कहा कि भारत का दूसरा चंद्र अभियान, चंद्रयान -2, जिसे जुलाई में लॉन्च करने की योजना है, में 13 पेलोड और एक अमेरिकी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा का एक निष्क्रिय प्रयोग होगा। 3.8-टन द्रव्यमान वाले अंतरिक्ष यान में तीन मॉड्यूल हैं- ऑर्बिटर, लैंडर और रोवर। 13 भारतीय पेलोड में से आठ परिक्रमा पर, तीन लैंडर पर और दो रोवर पर होंगे।

लीज लेने का फायदा

• कार किराए पर लेने के लिए कोई डाउनपेमेंट चार्ज नहीं देना होगा। साथ ही मेंटीनेंस कॉस्ट भी नहीं देनी होगी। इसके अलावा कार की रिसेल रिस्क जीरो प्रतिशत होगी। वहीं लायबिलिटी भी जीरो होगी।

चुनिंदा कारों के लिए होगा ऑफर

• Hyundai की वेबसाइट पर दी गई डिटेल के मुताबिक कंपनी का यह ऑफर चुनिंदा 5 कारों के लिए होगा। इसमें हालिया लॉन्च ऑल न्यू सैंट्रो कार, Grand i10, Elite i20, Verna और Creta जैसी कारों को शामिल किया गया है। जिनका किराया 7676 रुपए से लेकर 17642 रुपए तक है। मंथली किराए के अलावा जीएसटी अलग देनी होगी। यह ऑफर कार के बेस मॉडल के लिए होगा, टॉप मॉडल के लिए अतिरिक्त रेंटल देना होगा।

अलबामा स्‍टेट में गर्भपात पर प्रतिबंध लगाने वाला बिल पास

• अमेरिका में अलबामा स्‍टेट सीनेट ने गर्भपात पर प्रतिबंध (abortion ban bill) लगाने वाले बिल को पारित कर दिया। इस विधेयक के अनुसार, गर्भपात करनेवाले डॉक्‍टर को आजीवन कारावास की सजा दी जाएगी। स्‍टेट के रिपब्‍लिकन समर्थकों ने इस विधेयक को आगे किया जिससे यहां गर्भपात पर प्रतिबंध को पूरा समर्थन मिला। बता दें कि यूएस में सबसे अधिक राजनीतिक रूप से विभाजनकारी मुद्दों में से एक गर्भपात है।

• बिल को समर्थन देने वाले रिपब्‍लिकन टेरी कोलिंस ने कहा,'हमारे बिल के अनुसार गर्भ में पलनेवाला शिशु एक इंसान है।' इस बिल में दुष्‍कर्म जैसे मामलों में भी गर्भपात की अनुमति नहीं दी गई है। दूसरी ओर अमेरिका में मानवाधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए काम कर रही संस्था एसीएलयू ने बिल के खिलाफ कोर्ट में याचिका दाखिल करने की घोषणा की है। संस्था का कहना है कि वह बिल को किसी भी सूरत में क्रियान्वित होने से रोकेगी।

• बता दें कि कुछ दिन पहले ही दक्षिणी अमेरिकी राज्य जॉर्जिया के गवर्नर ने दिल की धड़कन का पता चल जाने पर गर्भपात पर प्रतिबंध लगाने संबंधी एक बिल पर हस्ताक्षर किया। मंगलवार रात चार घंटे से अधिक चली बहस के बाद रिपब्‍लिकन नीत सीनेट ने HB 314 को पारित करने के लिए 25-6 से वोट किया। इस माह के शुरुआत में अलबामा हाउस ने यह विधेयक पारित कर दिया था।

• भारत ने पेरिस में 'क्राइस्टचर्च कॉल टू एक्शन' पर हस्ताक्षर किए. यह समझौता मार्च में मस्जिदों पर हुए हमलों की पृष्ठभूमि में आया था और इसका उद्देश्य चरमपंथियों द्वारा इंटरनेट के दुरुपयोग को रोकना है।

• पेरिस में आयोजित बैठक में माइक्रोसॉफ्ट, गूगल, ट्विटर, फेसबुक और अमेज़न जैसे ऑनलाइन दिग्गजों के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया। भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय के सचिव अजय प्रकाश साहनी ने किया।

बैंक और अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था:

दो साल में चार गुना बढ़ेंगे डिजिटल लेनदेन, RBI ने जारी किया 'विजन 2021'

• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने बुधवार को एक विजन डॉक्यूमेंट जारी किया है। देश में कम नकदी वाली अर्थव्यवस्था के लक्ष्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए इसे जारी किया गया है। इसका फोकस सुरक्षित, सुविधाजनक, तेज और सस्ती ई-भुगतान प्रणाली को बनाने पर है। यह दस्तावेज देश में आनलाइन भुगतान प्रणाली में आने वाले दो साल के दौरान होने वाली भारी वृद्धि को ध्यान में रखते हुए जारी किया गया है. भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक को उम्मीद है कि दिसंबर 2021 तक देश में डिजिटल माध्यमों से होने वाला लेनदेन चार गुना से भी अधिक बढ़ जाएगा. इन लेनदेन का मूल्य बढ़कर 8,707 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच जाएगा।

• केंद्रीय बैंक ने इस विजन डॉक्यूमेंट को 'भारत में भुगतान और निपटान प्रणाली: विजन 2019- 2021' के नाम से जारी किया है। इसे जारी कर उसने देश में ई- भुगतान के अनुभव को बेहतर बनाने और उच्च डिजिटल और कम नकदी वाला समाज बनाने की दिशा में कदम उठाया है।

• रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा है कि नए सेवाप्रदाताओं और नए तौर-तरीकों के आने से भुगतान प्रणाली में लगातार बदलाव जारी रहेगा। इससे उपभोक्ताओं को बेहतर लागत पर विभिन्न प्रकार के भुगतान प्रणाली के विकल्प उपलब्ध होंगे।

• रिजर्व बैंक इस विजन दस्तावेज को 2019- 2021 के दौरान अमल में लाएगा। इससे पहले पिछला विजन दस्तावेज 2016 से 2018 के लिए जारी किया गया था। देश में डिजिटल माध्यमों से होने वाला लेनदेन दिसंबर, 2018 के 2,069 करोड़ रुपये से चार गुना से अधिक बढ़कर दिसंबर 2021 तक 8,707 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच जाने का अनुमान है.

• हाउसिंग फाइनेंस प्रमुख एचडीएफसी लिमिटेड (HDFC) ने मॉर्गेज गारंटीड होम लोन (Mortgage guarantee home loan) के लिए इंडिया मॉर्गेज गारंटी कॉर्पोरेशन (India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation) यानी आईएमजीसी (IMGC) के साथ टाई-अप किया है। एचडीएफसी का कहना है कि इस पार्टनरशिप का मुख्य उद्देश्य होम लोन (home loan) के बाजार में अपनी पैठ बनाते हुए उपभोक्ताओं के कई नई सुविधाएं देना है। एचडीएफसी (hdfc) इसके बाद उन ग्राहकों को भी होम लोन (home loan) आसानी से उपलब्ध करा सकेगा जो सेवानिवृत्ति (Home loan after retirement) के बाद चाहते हैं।

इस पार्टनरशिप से 3 कैटेगरी के लोगों को मिलेगा फायदा

• यह पार्टनरशिप 3 अलग-अलग स्तर के ग्राहकों के लिए फायदेमंद रहेगी। एचडीएफसी (hdfc) की मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर रेनू सूद ने बताया कि यह मध्यम उम्र के नौकरी करने वाले ग्राहकों के साथ-साथ अपना कारोबार करने वाले ग्राहकों को फायदा पहुंचाएगी। वहीं नौकरीपेशा युवाओं के साथ-साथ ही बड़े स्तर पर ऐसे ग्राहकों को भी लाभ मिलेगा जो अभी तक नौकरी नहीं कर रहे हैं।

• एचडीएफसी (hdfc) की मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर रेनू सूद ने बताया कि हम हाउसिंग फाइनेंस के क्षेत्र में भी मजबूत बनना चाहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि आईएमजीसी (imgc) के साथ समझौता इस दिशा में बड़ा कदम साबित होगा। मॉर्गेज गारंटी (Mortgage guarantee) पहले से ही अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजार में प्रचलन में है और इस पार्टनरशिप उनके ग्राहकों को बड़े स्तर पर विविधता प्रदान करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पार्टनरशिप भारत सरकार की मत्वाकांक्षीय योजना प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) के तहत सभी लोगों को 2022 तक घर मुहैया कराने की दिशा में भी सहायक सिद्ध होगी।

• महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने बुधवार को वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी देवन भारती को राज्य के आतंकवाद विरोधी दस्ते (एटीएस) का प्रमुख नियुक्त किया। वर्ष 1994 बैच के अधिकारी भारती अभी मुम्बई पुलिस की आर्थिक अपराध शाखा (ईओडब्ल्यू) के संयुक्त पुलिस आयुक्त हैं। राज्य के गृह विभाग ने पुलिस महानिरीक्षक (आईजीपी) और अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक (एडीजी) रैंक के 19 अधिकारियों के तबादले का आदेश भी जारी किया है। एटीएस के मौजूदा प्रमुख अतुलचंद्र कुलकर्णी को पुणे के अपराध जांच विभाग का एडीजी बना दिया गया है।

• ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री बॉब हॉक का निधन हो गया है। वह 89 वर्ष के थे। हॉक लेबर पार्टी के लीडर थे। वह लेबर पार्टी के सबसे लंबे समय तक प्रधानमंत्री रहने वाले व्यक्ति थे। यह जानकारी पारिवारिक सूत्रों से मिली।

• बॉब की पत्नी ब्लांचे डी अल्पूगेट ने बयान जारी कर कहा कि उनका निधन घर पर हुआ। बॉब साल 1947 में 18 साल की उम्र में लेबर पार्टी में शामिल हुए थे।

• उन्होंने यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ ऑक्सफर्ड से साल 1953 में रोड्स स्कॉलरशिप प्राप्त की थी। संसद में उन्होंने साल 1980 में ए सीट जीती थी। 1983 में वह लेबर पार्टी के नेता बन गए। उल्लेखनीय है कि अपने स्टाइल के लिए जाने जानेवाले हॉक ने ऑक्सफर्ड में बीयर पीने की रिकॉर्ड बनाया था।
