Delhi Government Launches “Operation SHIELD” for Containment of COVID-19
• On 9 April 2020, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced the launch of an initiative called “Operation SHIELD” in the capital city to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
• Here SHIELD stands for:
a) Sealing of the immediate area/surroundings after geographical marking
b) Home quarantine of all the people living in the area
c) Isolation and tracing of people who have been first and second contacts
d) Essential supply of commodities is ensured
e) Local sanitisation of the area by authorities
f) Door-to-door health checks of everyone living in the area
CSIR-NCL & BEL ink partnership to developed IR Thermometer and OEU
• CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) Pune, Maharashtra has designed and developed Digital IR Thermometer and Oxygen Enrichment Unit (OEU) to assist within the mitigation of the Coronavirus outbreak. To speed-up, the project NCL has partnered with Bharat Electronics Ltd, Pune (BEL).
• Digital Infra-Red (IR) thermometer is that the primary and important component that’s wont to measure Coronavirus infection.
• The Oxygen Enrichment Unit is that the other technology that’s in great demand within the treatment of COVID-19 patients. because the lungs of COVID-19 patients get badly affected, the OEU can do the function of a ventilator by increasing the oxygen concentration from 21-22% to 38-40% from the ambient air.
Bharat Biotech in tie-up with FluGen to develop ‘CoroFlu’ vaccine
• Bharat Biotech in tie-up with the US-based company FluGen and University of Wisconsin Madison to develop a vaccine named “Coro-Flu” to fight against COVID-19.
• CoroFlu will build on the backbone of FluGen’s flu vaccine candidate known as M2SR.
• The vaccine is being developed on the basis of FluGen’s flu vaccine candidate known as M2SR, a self-limited version of the influenza virus.
International
People’s Bank of China now owns 1.01% stake in HDFC
• The People’s Bank of China (PBOC), which is the Central Bank of China now owns 1.01% stake in the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).
• As per the data submitted by PBOC to BSE, it held 1.75 crore shares of HDFC during the quarter that ended in March 2020. However, PBOC already owned 0.8 percent earlier.
• As per norms, businesses are required to disclose shareholding of over 1 percent at the end of every quarter. The disclosure has been made now by PBOC because the ownership has hit the 1 percent regulatory threshold.

Jana Small Finance Bank launches “DigiGen” digital banking platform
• Jana Small Finance Bank has launched “DigiGen” a digital banking platform where customers can digitally open a savings account and fixed deposit instantly, any time, anywhere.
• DigiGen onboarding is a three-step process to open an account.
• Bank customers are eligible for 4.5 per cent interest rates on savings account with no minimum balance and up to 7.5 per cent interest on fixed deposits.
ACC approves extension of Bank Board Bureau members’ tenure by 2 years
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of tenure of all members and the current part-time chairman of the Bank Board Bureau(BBB) by 2 years, which is coming to an end on April 11,2020.
• The former Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, Bhanu Pratap Sharma, will continue to hold the post of part-time member of the board.

India ranks high on “Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker”.
• The “Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker” has identified India’s response to Covid-19 as one of the most stringent in the world. This data are based on tracking 73 countries.
• This tracker is created by researchers from Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. The tracker is designed to systematically record government responses worldwide and aggregate the scores into a common ‘Stringency Index’.

• International Day of Human Space Flight 2020: The International Day of Human Space Flight 2020 was observed on April 12, 2020. The day is to celebrate the beginning of the space era for mankind, the contribution of space science and technology and to ensure the realization to maintain outer space for peaceful purposes.
• The United Nations General Assembly in its resolution on April 7, 2011, had declared April 12 to be celebrated as International Day of Human Space Flight.
• On April 12, 1961, the first human space flight was carried out by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet citizen, who became the first person to journey into outer space. The mission opened several pathways for space exploration, which benefited the next generations.

दिल्ली सरकार ने COVID-19 के कंटेनर के लिए "ऑपरेशन शील्ड" लॉन्च किया
9 अप्रैल 2020 को, दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कोरोनोवायरस महामारी के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए राजधानी शहर में “ऑपरेशन SHIELD” नामक एक पहल शुरू करने की घोषणा की है।
• यहाँ SHIELD का अर्थ है:
1) भौगोलिक अंकन के बाद तत्काल क्षेत्र / परिवेश की सील
2) क्षेत्र में रहने वाले सभी लोगों का घर क्वारंटाइन
3) पहले और दूसरे संपर्क वाले लोगों के आइसोलेशन और ट्रेकिंग

6) क्षेत्र में रहने वाले सभी लोगों की डोर-टू-डोर स्वास्थ्य जाँच
एनसीएल ने भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स लिमिटेड, पुणे (बीईएल) के साथ भागीदारी की।
• सीएसआईआर-राष्ट्रीय रासायनिक प्रयोगशाला (एनसीएल) पुणे, महाराष्ट्र ने कोरोनोवायरस प्रकोप के शमन के भीतर डिजिटल आईआर थर्मामीटर और ऑक्सीजन संवर्धन इकाई (ओईयू) को डिजाइन और विकसित किया है। एनसीएल ने भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स लिमिटेड, पुणे (बीईएल) के साथ भागीदारी की है।
• डिजिटल इंफ्रा-रेड (IR) थर्मामीटर कोरोनोवायरस संक्रमण को मापने के लिए प्राथमिक और महत्वपूर्ण घटक है।
• ऑक्सीजन संवर्धन इकाई वह दूसरी तकनीक है जो COVID-19 रोगियों के उपचार में बहुत मांग में है। क्योंकि COVID-19 रोगियों के फेफड़े बुरी तरह से प्रभावित हो जाते हैं, OEU परिवेशी वायु से 21-22% से 38-40% तक ऑक्सीजन सांद्रता बढ़ाकर एक वेंटिलेटर का कार्य कर सकता है।
कोरोफ्लू ’टीका विकसित करने के लिए फ्लुजेन के साथ भारत बायोटेक का टाई-अप
• भारत ने COVID -19 के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिए, बायोटेक अमेरिका की कंपनी फ्लुजन और विस्कॉन्सिन मैडिसन विश्वविद्यालय के साथ टाई- "कोरो-फ़्लू" नामक एक टीका विकसित करने के लिए किया।
• कोरोफ्लू फ्लुगेन के फ्लू वैक्सीन उम्मीदवार की रीढ़ की हड्डी पर बनेगा जिसे एम 2 एसआर के नाम से जाना जाता है।
• वैक्सीन को फ्लुजन के फ्लू वैक्सीन उम्मीदवार के आधार पर विकसित किया जा रहा है, जिसे M2SR के नाम से जाना जाता है, जो इन्फ्लूएंजा वायरस का स्व-सीमित संस्करण है।

चीन ने HDFC के 1.75 करोड़ शेयर खरीदे
एशिया की सबसे बड़ी इकॉनमी चीन ने कोरोना वायरस महामारी के कारण दुनियाभर के शेयर बाजारों में आई गिरावट का फायदा उठाना शुरू कर दिया है।पीपुल्स बैंक ऑफ चाइना ने हाउजिंग लोन देने वाली देश की दिग्गज कंपनी HDFC लिमिटेड के 1.75 करोड़ शेयर खरीद लिए हैं। शेयर बाजार से मिले आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, चीन के केंद्रीय बैंक ने एचडीएफसी लिमिटेड के 1,74,92,909 शेयर खरीदे हैं, जो कंपनी की एक फीसदी हिस्सेदारी है।
सस्ते हुए थे एचडीएफसी के शेयर
चीन के केंद्रीय बैंक ने यह खरीदारी ऐसे वक्त में की है, जब कोरोना वायरस महामारी के कारण एचडीएफसी लिमिटेड के शेयरों में बड़ी गिरावट आई है। फरवरी के पहले सप्ताह के बाद से लेकर अब तक शेयर में 41% की गिरावट आ चुकी है।
1.01% हो गई चीन की हिस्सेदारी
एचडीएफसी लिमिटेड के वाइस चेयरमैन एवं सीईओ केकी मिस्त्री ने कहा है कि पीपुल्स बैंक ऑफ चाइना के पास मार्च 2019 तक कंपनी में हिस्सेदारी 0.80% थी, जो मार्च 2020 में बढ़कर 1.01% पर पहुंच गई।

जन लघु वित्त बैंक ने “डिजीजन” डिजिटल बैंकिंग प्लेटफॉर्म लॉन्च किया
• जन लघु वित्त बैंक ने “डिजीजन” एक डिजिटल बैंकिंग प्लेटफॉर्म लॉन्च किया है, जहां ग्राहक डिजिटल रूप से बचत खाता और सावधि जमा, किसी भी समय, कहीं भी खोल सकते हैं।
• डिजीजन ऑन बोर्डिंग एक खाता खोलने के लिए तीन-चरण की प्रक्रिया है।
• बैंक ग्राहक बचत खाते पर 4.5 प्रतिशत ब्याज दरों के लिए पात्र हैं जिनमें न्यूनतम शेष राशि नहीं है और सावधि जमाओं पर 7.5 प्रतिशत तक की ब्याज दर है।
एसीसी ने बैंक बोर्ड ब्यूरो के सदस्यों के कार्यकाल को 2 वर्ष बढ़ा दिया
• मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति (एसीसी) ने सभी सदस्यों के कार्यकाल के विस्तार और बैंक बोर्ड ब्यूरो (बीबीबी) के वर्तमान अंशकालिक अध्यक्ष को 2 साल के लिए मंजूरी दे दी है, जो 11 अप्रैल, 2020 को समाप्त हो रहा है।
• कार्मिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग में पूर्व सचिव, भानुप्रताप शर्मा, बोर्ड के अंशकालिक सदस्य के पद पर बने रहेंगे।

• "ऑक्सफोर्ड COVID-19 सरकार रिस्पांस ट्रैकर" ने कोविद -19 के लिए भारत की प्रतिक्रिया को दुनिया के सबसे कड़े कदम में से एक के रूप में पहचाना है। यह डेटा 73 देशों की ट्रैकिंग पर आधारित है।
• यह ट्रैकर ऑक्सफ़ोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय में ब्लावत्निक स्कूल ऑफ गवर्नमेंट के शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा बनाया गया है। ट्रैकर को दुनिया भर में सरकारी प्रतिक्रियाओं को व्यवस्थित रूप से रिकॉर्ड करने और स्कोर को एक सामान्य ‘स्ट्रिंगिंक इंडेक्स’ में संयोजित करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।

• मानव अंतरिक्ष उड़ान 2020 का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 12 अप्रैल, 2020 को मनाया गया। यह दिन मानव जाति के लिए अंतरिक्ष युग की शुरुआत का जश्न मनाने, अंतरिक्ष विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के योगदान और सुनिश्चित करने के लिए है।
• संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 7 अप्रैल, 2011 को अपने प्रस्ताव में 12 अप्रैल को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष दिवस के रूप में मनाए जाने की घोषणा की थी।
