HRD Minister launches Bharat Padhe Online campaign
• The Ministry of Human Resources Development on April 10, 2020 launched a week-long Bharat Padhe Online campaign to crowdsource ideas for improving the online education ecosystem of India. The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched the campaign.
• The campaign aims to invite the best suggestions and solutions to overcome the constraints of online education while promoting the available digital education platforms.
• The HRD Minister requested the educators across the country to come forward and contribute with their expertise in the field of education.

Google to launch new virtual Braille Keyboard
• Google has announced the launch of a virtual Braille keyboard for Android users with low vision or blindness. This new keyboard will enable these people to type on their phones without additional hardware.
• A standard 6-key layout has been used in this keyboard with each key representing one of 6 braille dots which, when tapped, can make any letter or symbol.

Goldman Sachs cuts real GDP growth forecast for India in FY21 to 1.6%
• Goldman Sachs has predicted India’s Real GDP growth projection for FY21 at 1.6%.
• Goldman Sachs has predicted the Global GDP growth at -1.8% in 2020.
RBI launches twitter campaign for Digital Payment
• The Reserve Bank of India on April 09, 2020 launched a twitter campaign urging bank customers to adopt digital modes of payment that are convenient and safe.
• The face of the campaign is Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.
• The RBI, through the campaign, reiterated the multiple digital payment options such as NEFT, IMPS, UPI and BBPS that are available 24*7.
Obituary
Padma Shri classical singer Shanti Hiranand passes away at 87
• Renowned Hindustani classical singer Shanti Hiranand Chawla passed away at the age of 87 years.
• She was a Padma Shri awardee and trained in thumri, dadra and ghazal singing.
• She had also penned a book titled “Begum Akhtar: The Story of My Ammi.” which depicts her journey with her music guru, Begum Akhtar.

मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री ने शुरू की 'भारत पढ़े ऑनलाइन' मुहिम,
इसके लि्ए उन्होंने ऑनलाइन शिक्षा पद्धति को ज्यादा प्रभावशाली और रचनात्मक बनाने के लिए सुझाव मांगे हैं। शिक्षा मंत्री ने ट्वीट कर ऑनलाइन शिक्षा पद्धति से जुड़े सुझाव देने को कहा है।
ऑनलाइन शिक्षा से जुड़े लोगों से मांगे सुझाव
शिक्षा मंत्री ने एक हफ्ते के अंदर ऑनलाइन शिक्षा से जुड़े लोगों से इसे बेहतर बनाने के लिए सुझाव देने को कहा है। खासकर ऑनलाइन शिक्षा दे रहे संस्थानों, विशेषज्ञों और छात्रों से से सुझाव मांगे गए हैं।

गूगल ने नया वर्चुअल ब्रेल कीबोर्ड किया लॉन्च
गूगल ने कम दिखाई देने या अंधेपन से ग्रस्त एंड्रॉइड उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए एक वर्चुअल ब्रेल कीबोर्ड लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है। यह नया कीबोर्ड इन लोगों को बिना किसी अतिरिक्त हार्डवेयर के फोन पर टाइप करने में मदद करेगा।
गूगल ने इस वर्चुअल ब्रेल कीबोर्ड को ब्रेल डेवलपर्स और यूजर्स के सहयोग तैयार किया है। साथ ही यह भी सुनिश्चित किया गया है कि कीबोर्ड का उपयोग कहीं भी-कभी भी किया जा सके, चाहे वो सोशल मीडिया, टेक्स्ट मैसेजिंग और ईमेल ऐप्स जैसे टाइप प्लेटफार्म हो। इसलिए ये नया ब्रेल कीबोर्ड कम दिखाई देने या अंधेपन से ग्रस्त लोगों को अपने स्मार्टफ़ोन का बिना किसी अतिरिक्त हार्डवेयर के बेहतर तरीके से उपयोग करने में सक्षम बनाएगा।

ग्लोबल ब्रोकरेज फर्म गोल्डमैन सैक्श ने यह गंभीर चेतावनी दी है कि इस वित्त वर्ष यानी 2020—21 में देश के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में बढ़त दर महज 1.6 फीसदी रह जाएगी।
कई दशकों पीछे हो जाएगी ग्रोथ रेट
इसका मतलब यह है कि आर्थिक तरक्की के लिहाज से देश कई दशक पीछे चला जाएगा। गोल्डमैन सैक्श ने अपने पहले के अनुमान में भारी कटौती की है। इसके पहले उसने अनुमान लगाया था कि भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था में इस वित्त वर्ष में 3.3 फीसदी की बढ़त होगी।
RBI ने डिजिटल भुगतान के लिए ट्विटर अभियान शुरू किया
• भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने 09 अप्रैल, 2020 को बैंक के ग्राहकों को भुगतान के डिजिटल तरीके अपनाने के लिए एक ट्विटर अभियान शुरू किया जो सुविधाजनक और सुरक्षित है।
• अभियान का चेहरा बॉलीवुड अभिनेता अमिताभ बच्चन हैं।
• RBI ने अभियान के माध्यम से, कई डिजिटल भुगतान विकल्प जैसे कि NEFT, IMPS, UPI और BBPS को दोहराया जो 24*7 उपलब्ध हैं।

• हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय गायक शांति हीरानंद चावला का 87 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया।
• वह पद्म श्री पुरस्कार से सम्मानित थीं और ठुमरी, दादरा और ग़ज़ल गायन में प्रशिक्षित थीं।
• उन्होंने "बेगम अख्तर: द स्टोरी ऑफ माय अम्मी" नामक एक पुस्तक भी लिखी थी। जिसमें उनके संगीत गुरु, बेगम अख्तर के साथ उनकी यात्रा को दर्शाया गया है।

फीफा की रैंकिंग: भारत 108 वें स्थान पर
• फीफा रैंकिंग में भारतीय फुटबॉल टीम ने अपना 108 वां स्थान बरकरार रखा। जबकि बेल्जियम पहले और विश्व चैंपियन फ्रांस दूसरे स्थान पर है और ब्राजील तीसरे स्थान पर है।

• इस दिन का उद्देश्य गर्भवती और स्तनपान कराने वाली महिलाओं को महिलाओं की उचित स्वास्थ्य देखभाल और मातृत्व सुविधाओं के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।
• इस दिन का उद्देश्य महिलाओं के लिए स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना भी है। भारत दुनिया में आधिकारिक तौर पर राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षित मातृत्व दिवस घोषित करने वाला पहला देश बन गया।
राष्ट्रीय पेट/पालतू दिवस
• हर साल 11 अप्रैल को राष्ट्रीय पालतू दिवस मनाया जाता है। यह दिन लोगों को आश्रयों में जानवरों की संख्या को कम करने में मदद करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है। इस दिन, पालतू पशु मालिक अपने पशु साथी को मनाते हैं।
• नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ हेल्थ (NIH) के एक सर्वेक्षण ने निर्धारित किया है कि पशु कोर्टिसोल, कोलेस्ट्रॉल और रक्तचाप के स्तर को कम करके समग्र हृदय स्वास्थ्य के लिए शारीरिक और मानसिक लाभों में योगदान करते हैं।
