Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 46^th Indian Labour Conference on July 20 and dedicate the National Career Service (NCS) portal to the nation and launch health reforms of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation of India (ESIC) on the occasion. 

Indigenous Visibility Measuring System - Drishti Installed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi for Supporting Safe Airport Operations. They are used for reporting the runway visual range, which is a critical parameter for safe landing and take-off of aircraft in poor visibility conditions. Drishti Transmissometers have been installed at this airport recently, as a part of the first phase installation of 20 such systems in 10 airports across the country.Sophisticated instruments, indigenously designed and developed by CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru called as - DRISHTI, have now been made fully operational at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.

Famous painter Sayed Haider Raza was conferred with highest French Civilian Award (the Legion of Honour).

Total of 175 robot teams from 46 different countries and regions are set to compete in the 19^th Robo Cup World Championships in Hefei. Football matches will be a main focus of the RoboCup competitions, in which robots will autonomously operate without external control and will be assessed on their skills. The RoboCup has been held annually since 1997, aiming at advancing the development of artificial intelligence.

Veteran Telugu playback singer Vissamraju Ramakrishna passed away due to cancer. He was 68.  He had sung about 5,000 songs in his nearly 4 decades long career. His debut movie song as playback singer was “Vayase Oka Poolathota” in Vichitra Bandham (1972). He was also has sang number of popular devotional songs.His famous songs are in Andala Ramudu, Mutyala Muggu and Alluri Sitarama Raju films. 

French Formula One driver Jules Bianchi has died of critical head injuries sustained at last year's Japanese Grand Prix, Bianchi had been in coma since the accident at Suzuka in October 2014. He passed away at a hospital in Nice, near his parents' home in the south of France.

The Reserve Bank of India constituted a committee to work out a medium-term (five-year) action plan for financial inclusion. The 14^th member panel will be headed by R.B.I executive director Deepak Mohanty. The Committee will work to spread the reach of financial services to unbanked population.

Varanasi (U.P.) has been chosen as “City of Music” by U.N.E.S.C.O under the Creative Cities Network. The city of Varanasi has been chosen in the music category under U.N.E.S.C.O’s “Field of Excellence” plan. The inclusion of Varanasi in this prestigious list paves the way for representing the cultural heritage of the holy city on the world stage through the U.N.E.S.C.O project.

The Prime Minister of India formally launched the “Skill India Mission” and unveiled the new National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 on the occasion of the World Youth Skills Day. The aim of “Skill India Mission” is to converge and monitor all skill development schemes across the country, promoting entrepreneurship and equipping 500 million Indians with skills by 2022 that would enable them to find jobs.
