Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer Adam Bain quits
Twitter on 9 November 2016 announced that Adam Bain, its Chief Operating Officer (COO), plans to leave the company.
● In August 2016, Bain had celebrated his six-year anniversary at Twitter. Over his time at the company, he helped build Twitter’s ad efforts from the ground up. He was once considered a top candidate to be the chief executive of the company before Jack Dorsey got the job.
● After Bain’s decision, Twitter’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Anthony Noto will be promoted to the position of COO.
● Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and read short 140-character messages called tweets.
● It is based in San Francisco and has more than 25 offices around the world.
● It was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams. However, the site was officially launched in July 2006.

● एडम बैन के स्थान पर कंपनी के मुख्य वित्त अधिकारी एंथनी नोटो इस पद का अतिरिक्त कार्यभार संभालेंगे. एंथनी नोटो इस पद पर तब तक बने रहेंगे जब तक कि कंपनी नए नियुक्ति नहीं कर लेती.
● ट्विटर एक सोशल नेटवर्किंग वेबसाइट है.
● ट्विटर की स्थापना मार्च 2006 में की गयी थी.
● ट्विटर में 140-वर्ण के संदेशों को आप एक बार में भेज सकते हैं जिसे ट्वीट कहते हैं.
● ट्विटर का मुख्य कार्य यह पता करना होता कि कोई निश्चित व्यक्ति किसी समय क्या कार्य कर रहा है.
● ट्विटर कई सामाजिक नेटवर्क जालस्थलों जैसे माइस्पेस और फेसबुक पर काफी प्रसिद्ध हो चुका है.
● ट्विटर पर अभी तक यह सेवा अंग्रेजी में ही उपलब्ध थी, किन्तु अब इसमें अन्य कई भाषाएं भी उपलब्ध होने लगी हैं.
● यह मार्च 2006 में जैक डोरसे , नूह ग्लास, बिज़ स्टोन और इवान विलियम्स द्वारा बनाया गया था। हालांकि, आधिकारिक तौर पर साइट जुलाई 2006 में शुरू किया गया था।
