Renowned journalist Babu Bharadwaj died
Veteran journalist and writer BabuBharadwaj died of cardiac arrest on 30 April 2016 in Kozhikode. He was 68.
• Bharadwaj had been a part of prominent print and television media in Kerala.
• Kalapangalkkoru Grihapadam, a novel penned by him, won the Kerala SahityaAkademi award in 2006.
• Bharadwaj's other famous works include Pravasiyude Kurippukal, Shavaghoshayathra (novelettes), Puppet Theatre (short story collection), PravasiyudeVazhiyambalangal and Adrushya Nagarangal.
• The writer had also produced a Malayalam movie named Iniyum Marichittillatha Nammal in 1980. It was directed by Chintha Ravi.
• Bharadwaj was born at Chemmenchery in Kozhikode in 1948. He studied at Poyilkavu High School, Malabar Christian College, Thrissur Engineering College.
• His other noted works include 'Pravasiyude Kurippukal', 'Shavaghoshayathra' (novelettes), 'Puppet Theatre' (short story collection), 'Pravasiyude Vazhiyambalangal' and 'Adrushya Nagarangal'.
