Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to approve sewage and waste water policy.

• The first of its kind policy was approved by the State Cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in Jaipur.
• Under this policy, all district headquarters, heritage cities, and cities in the state which have more than one lakh population will be included.
• Waste water treated under it will be used in irrigation and agricultural work.
• The requirement of next 30 years will be covered in this poilcy.
• It will be compulsory for every house in the state to connect with sewage system in those cities which have 100% sewage system in next five years.
• Modern Rajasthan includes most of Rajputana, which comprises the erstwhile nineteen princely states, two chiefships, and the British district of Ajmer-Merwara.
• Marwar (Jodhpur), Bikaner, Mewar (Chittorgarh), Alwar and Dhundhar (Jaipur) were some of the main Rajput princely states.
राजस्थान सीवेज और अपशिष्ट जल नीति को मंजूरी देने वाला देश का पहला राज्य बन गया है।
• अपनी तरह की पहली नीति को जयपुर में मुख्यमंत्री वसुंधरा राजे की अध्यक्षता में राज्य मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक के द्वारा अनुमोदित किया गया था।
• इस नीति के तहत सभी जिला मुख्यालयों , विरासत शहरों, नगरों और राज्य को शामिल किया जाएगा जिसमे एक लाख से अधिक की आबादी है ।
• इसके तहत साफ़ पानी को अपशिष्ट जल सिंचाई और कृषि कार्य में इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा।
• अगले 30 वर्षों की आवश्यकता इस पोलिसी में शामिल की गयी है ।
• अगले पांच साल में जिन शेरोन में 100% सीवेज सिस्टम होगा उनमे हर घर को में सीवेज सिस्टम के साथ कनेक्ट करना अनिवार्य हो जाएगा।
• आधुनिक राजस्थान में राजपूताना परिवार शामिल है, जिसमे तत्कालीन उन्नीस रियासत , दो चीफशिप, और अजमेर-मेरवारा के ब्रिटिश शामिल हैं।
• मारवाड़ (जोधपुर) , बीकानेर, मेवाड़ ( चित्तौड़गढ़ ), अलवर और धुन्धर (जयपुर) मुख्य राजपूत रियासतों में से कुछ थे ।
