Prime Minister to lay foundation of first ever Indian Institute of Skills in India at Kanpur Tomorrow
In line with his vision of making India the Skill Capital of the World by empowering its youth to be more employable and self-sustainable, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the first ever “Indian Institute of Skills” in the country at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Institute has been conceptualized by Shri Narendra Modi during his visit to Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education.
● Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore has decided to open an institute first ever of its kind in the country, the institute is inspired by the Singapore model of training and would adopt various best practices from the country. The Ministry has decided to have six such institutes
● The event is being organized in the presence of Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Naik, Union Minister of State(I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of Panchayati Raj, Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Govind Chaudhary and MPs Dr Murli Manohar Joshi and Shri Bhole Singh.
● MSDE also has plans to felicitate skilled candidates who have been trained under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (RPL) in Kanpur where the Hon’ble Prime Minister himself will distribute skill certificates to Street Food Vendors, Leather industry Workers under the recognition of prior learning program of the government.
● This program helps in assessment of the existing work experience of a person and certifies him on his current skill-set basis the National Skill Qualification Framework approved by both the industry and the government of India.
युवकों को अधिक रोजगार पाने योग्य एवं स्वनिर्भर बनने के लिए उन्हें अधिकार संपन्न बनाने के द्वारा भारत को विश्व की कौशल राजधानी बनाने के अपने विजन के अनुरूप प्रधानमंत्री कल उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर में देश के अब तक पहले ‘भारतीय कौशल संस्थान’ की आधारशिला रखेंगे। इस संस्थान की संकल्पना श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा सिंगापुर के इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्निकल एजुकेशन की यात्रा के दौरान की गई थी।
● केंद्रीय कौशल विकास एवं उद्यमशीलता मंत्रालय ने सिंगापुर के इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्निकल एजुकेशन की साझेदारी में देश में अपनी तरह के ऐसे पहले संस्थान की स्थापना करने का फैसला किया है। यह संस्थान प्रशिक्षण के सिंगापुर मॉडल से प्रेरित है और यह देश के विभिन्न सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रचलनों को अंगीकार करेगा। मंत्रालय ने ऐसे 6 संस्थान खोलने का निर्णय किया है।
● इस समारोह का आयोजन उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्यपाल श्री राम नाईक, केंद्रीय कौशल विकास एवं उद्यमशीलता राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री राजीव प्रताप रूडी, उत्तर प्रदेश के पंचायती राज मंत्री श्री रामगोविन्द चौधरी एवं सांसद डॉ. मुरली मनोहर जोशी एवं श्री भोले सिंह की उपस्थिति में किया जा रहा है।
● श्री राजीव प्रताप रूडी ने लांच की योजनाओं की जानकारी देते हुए बताया ‘हमारे लिए यह बहुत ही गर्व की बात है कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा कानपुर एवं अन्य नगरों के युवाओं के लिए इस प्रकार की कई पहलों की शुरूआत की जा रही है। हमें भरोसा है कि उत्तर प्रदेश के लोग बदलते समय के साथ एक उज्जवल और उन्नत भविष्य के लिए इच्छुक हैं और उन्हें ऐसे कौशल विकास कार्यक्रमों से लाभ मिलेगा।’
● श्री रूडी ने कहा कि कौशल विकास एवं उद्यमशीलता मंत्रालय (एमएसडीई) की योजना देश के प्रत्येक जिले में एक-एक प्रधानमंत्री कौशल केंद्र (पीएमकेके) खोलने की है, जिससे कि स्थानीय रूप से युवाओं के लिए विकास के अवसरों का सृजन किया जा सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि श्री मोदी जी द्वारा सोमवार को समारोह के दौरान 31 पीएमकेके लांच किए जाने की घोषणा की जाएगी। प्रधानमंत्री कौशल केंद्र आधुनिक अवसंरचना के साथ प्रतिष्ठित अत्याधुनिक कौशल विकास केंद्र हैं, जिससे कि देश में कौशल प्रशिक्षणों को बढ़ावा दिया जा सके।
