National Circus Festival held in Kabul Afghanistan
The National Circus Festival was held in Afghanistan's Kabul in mid-August, with children participating in activities like juggling and photography contests.
• Founded by Danish dance instructor David Mason, the Mobile Mini Circus for Children began organizing the four-day event in 2008.
• The circus has adapted to regional customs, with passages from the Quran being recited at the start.
• Despite the dangers, the project has grown so popular that it now runs centers in seven provinces and has about 300 regular students.
• With dozens of donors and workshops to raise money, the budget is close to $500,000 and its tours of 25 of the country's 34 provinces have reached nearly 3 million people.
• Mason refuses to be dispirited by the prospect of a Taliban revival.

• डेनिश नृत्य प्रशिक्षक डेविड मेसन द्वारा स्थापित, बच्चों के लिए मोबाइल मिनी सर्कस ने 2008 में चार दिवसीय समारोह का आयोजन शुरू किया।
• सर्कस, क्षेत्रीय सीमा शुल्क के लिए अनुकूल होने के साथ-साथ कुरान पढने से इसकी शुरुवात होती है।
• खतरों के बावजूद परियोजना इतना मशहूर हो चूका है की है कि यह अब सात प्रांतों में अपना केंद्र स्थापित कर चूका है और इसमें लगभग 300 नियमित छात्र हैं।
• दाताओं और कार्यशालाओं के दर्जनों के साथ पैसे जुटाने के साथ बजट $ 500,000 के करीब है और देश के 34 प्रांतों में से 25 में अपने दौरों के दौरान लगभग 3 लाख लोगों तक पहुँच चुके हैं।
