Mr Mauricio Macri new Argentina's President

Opposition candidate Mauricio Macri has won Argentina’s presidential election, marking an end to the left-leaning and often combative era of President Cristina Fernandez, who along with her late husband dominated the country’s political scene for 12 years and rewrote its social contract.
Mauricio Macri and his challenges
- He is an Argentine civil engineer, businessman and politician, and Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
- The first centre-right leader for 12 years and only the third leader since the end of military rule in 1983 not from the populist Peronist party.
- Challenges for Macri after this election:
1. He has to clean the pollution of corruption spread by the Peronist party.
2. Put forward measures to control the rampant inflation.
3. He  has to pursue a less protectionist economic policy, and end anti-US rhetoric.
4. Boost the economy by attracting foreign investors.
