ISRO Plans to set up Telescope on Moon
Taking India’s space astronomy research a step forward, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has planned to set up a telescope on moon.
● This telescope can have lot of advantages as there were no atmosphere or atmospheric effects associated with it.
● At present, the organisation is exploring various possibilities of operating this scientific observation capability analogous to the one in Handley in West Virginia, US, remotely controlled at Bengaluru.
● In September last, ISRO launched Astrosat, the country’s first astronomical satellites with two telescopes.
● Throwing more light on the GSLV Mark III, Kiran Kumar said the agency was gearing up for its launch later this year so that four-tonne satellites can be put up on the orbit.
● GSLV-Mark II had the capacity to launch 2.25 tons of satellites.
● Private operators like SpaceX were posing a great challenge to government space agencies globally and ISRO realised that it can’t survive despite significant achievements unless it continued to innovate.
खगोलीय अनुसंधानों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने चंद्रमा पर दूरबीन स्थापित करने की योजना बनाई है। यह मिशन पिछले वर्ष स्थापित किए गए देश की पहले अंतरिक्ष वेधशाला 'एस्ट्रोसैट' की अगली कड़ी होगा।
● चांद की धरती पर स्थापित टेलीस्कोप बेहद उपयोगी साबित होगा क्योंकि वहां लगभग निर्वात है। इससे पहले इसरो ने सितम्बर 2015 में खगोलीय वेधशाला एस्ट्रोसैट का प्रक्षेपण किया था।
● चंद्रमा पर दूरबीन की स्थापना बेहद चुनौतीपूर्ण रहेगी लेकिन इसरो इस कार्य को संपन्न करने में सक्षम है।
● जीएसएलवी-मार्क द्वितीय उपग्रहों के 2.25 टन लांच करने की क्षमता थी।
● अंतरिक्ष में कक्षा में स्थापित दूरबीन का अपना महत्व है लेकिन चंद्रमा पर स्थापना खोज के नए द्वार खोल देगी।
● इसका संचालन भारतीय खगोल वैज्ञानिक उपग्रह के माध्यम से बेंगलूरु में होसकोटे नियंत्रण कक्ष से करते हैं। यह अनुभव भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों ने हासिल किया है। इसमें इसरो का अपना महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है।
● स्पेसएक्स जैसे निजी ऑपरेटर विश्व स्तर पर सरकार की अंतरिक्ष एजेंसियों के लिए एक बड़ी चुनौती खड़ी कर रहे हैं और इसरो को एहसास हुआ कि बिना कुछ सर्वाइव नहीं जा सकता।
