India, UNISDR sign Statement of Cooperation on Sendai Framework
India and United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction signed a Statement of Cooperation during the second day of the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) 2016 here today.
● India will partner with UNISDR to work towards strengthening the capacity of Asian countries in ensuring risk resilient development.
● It will also facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences, and collaborative efforts towards addressing critical regional challenges.
● The cooperation aims to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of the Sendai Framework through Training and capacity building for Asian countries.
● The statement was officially signed by Shri. Bipin Mallick, Additional Secretary, Government of India and Mr. Robert Glasser, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction.
भारत और संयुक्त राष्ट्र आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण 2016 के एशियाई मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन के दूसरे दिन के दौरान सहयोग के एक बयान पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
● भारत यूएनआईएसडीआर के साथ भागीदार के साथ जोखिम लचीला विकास को सुनिश्चित करने में एशियाई देशों की क्षमता को मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में काम करने के लिए तैयार है।
● यह ज्ञान और अनुभव, और महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रीय चुनौतियों के समाधान की दिशा में एक सहयोगात्मक प्रयासों के साझा करने की सुविधा होगी।
● सहयोग प्रशिक्षण और एशियाई देशों के लिए क्षमता निर्माण के माध्यम से प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन और सेंडाइ फ्रेमवर्क की निगरानी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए होगा।
● बयान आधिकारिक तौर पर श्री बिपिन मलिक, अपर सचिव, आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण भारत और श्री रॉबर्ट ग्लासेर, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासचिव द्वारा हस्ताक्षर किए गए थे।
