India's trade deficit with China rises to $ 53 billion in FY16
India’s trade deficit with China increased to $52.69 billion in 2015-16 from $48.48 billion in the previous financial year, Parliament was informed on Monday.
● During the April-September period of 2016-17, the deficit is at $25.22 billion, Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
● She added that efforts are being made to increase overall exports by diversifying the trade basket with emphasis on manufactured goods, services, resolution of market access issues and other non-tariff barriers.
● India and China are WTO members, any restrictions imposed on trade needs to be WTO compliant.
● No blanket ban can be imposed on China or any other member country under the WTO framework, she added.
● India’s import of bulk drugs from China stood at $1.63 billion in 2015-16, which constitutes 64 per cent of India’s total bulk drug imports.
● Overall, India had imported such drugs worth $2.5 billion last fiscal.
संसद ने सोमवार को यह जानकारी दी की भारत का चीन के साथ व्यापार घाटा जो की पिछले वित्त वर्ष में 48.48 बिलियन डॉलर्स थी, बढ़ कर 52.69 बिलियन डॉलर्स हो गयी है ।
● वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने लोकसभा में एक सवाल के लिखित जवाब के उत्तर में कहा की अप्रैल-सितंबर, 2016-17 की अवधि के दौरान यह घाटा लगभग 25.22 बिलियन डॉलर्स पर था| “
● आगे उन्होंने बताया कि “चीन के साथ बढ़ते व्यापार घाटे का मुख्य रूप से तथ्य भारत को चीनी निर्यात विनिर्मित वस्तुओं पर दृढ़ता है जो कि तेजी से दूरसंचार और बिजली जैसे क्षेत्रों के विस्तार की मांग को पूरा करने के लिए जिम्मेदार है।
● भारत क्षेत्रीय व्यापक आर्थिक भागीदारी (आरसीईपी) व्यापार चीन के साथ समझौते एवम सभी भाग लेने वाले देशों के संबंध को ध्यान में रखते हुए “अपनी आक्रामक निर्यात हितों” बनाया गया है |
● उन्होंने कहा कि प्रयासों विनिर्मित वस्तुओं, सेवाओं, बाजार पहुंच के मुद्दों और अन्य गैर टैरिफ बाधाओं के संकल्प पर जोर देने के साथ व्यापार की टोकरी में विविधता लाने के द्वारा समग्र निर्यात बढ़ाने के लिए काफी प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।
● भारत और चीन विश्व व्यापार संगठन के सदस्य हैं, व्यापार पर लगाए गए किसी भी प्रतिबंध का विश्व व्यापार संगठन के अनुरूप होने की जरूरत है|
