India's Shot putter Inderjeet Singh created history by winning the first ever gold medal for India in the shot put event at the World University Games 2015 in Gwangju, South Korea. His sixth and final throw covering a distance of 20.27 was good enough to win him the coveted yellow metal. This helped India to register its first ever win in the World University Games.
