India's first Madame Tussauds Museum to open in Delhi in June
The first wax museum attraction Madame Tussauds will debut in Delhi this June with its operator Merlin Entertainments foraying into India with an investment plan of 50 million pounds over the next 10 years.
● UK-based Merlin Enterprises runs 116 attractions in 24 countries and the company will be foraying into the Indian market with the launch of Madame Tussauds in the national capital.
● Merlin Entertainments India General Manger and Director Anshul Jain said: “We are looking at bringing in other brands but our priority is to launch Madame Tussauds in Delhi. We plan to invest 50 million pounds over the next 10 years.”
● The company has made in opening its first Madame Tussauds attraction in India, Jain said: “We cannot give specific details but we are launching India with 50 figures with a minimum investment of Rs 1.5 crore for each figure.”
● The museum will be housed in the Regal Cinema building at Connaught Place and will be spread over two floors.

● इंडियन सिलेब्रिटीज के मोम के पुतले इस वैक्स म्यूजियम में लगने की भी खबरें आती रहती थीं, लेकिन भारत का पहला मैडम टुसाड वैक्स म्यूजियम जल्दी ही कनॉट प्लेस की रीगल सिनेमा बिल्डिंग में खुलने वाला है।
● दिल्ली में भारत का पहला मैडम टुसाड वैक्स म्यूजियम खुलने की घोषणा करते हुए मर्लिन एंटरटेनमेंट के जीएम अंशुल जैन ने बताया कि हम भारत में म्यूजियम सीपी की रीगल बिल्डिंग में जून के महीने में खोलने वाले हैं।
● म्यूजियम बिल्डिंग के फर्स्ट और सेकंड फ्लोर पर होगा। इसमें एक बार में करीब 500 लोग अपनी चहेती सिलेब्रिटीज के मोम के पुतलों से रूबरू हो पाएंगे।
● इसकी टिकट रेट जीएसटी में एंटरटेनमेंट टैक्स की दर पर निर्भर होगी।
● यह म्यूजियम सिर्फ एंटरटेनमेंट फील्ड की शख्सियतों के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि हर फील्ड के लिए है।
● इंडिया में अपनी तरह के पहले वैक्स म्यूजियम के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि दिल्ली के म्यूजियम में अमिताभ बच्चन, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और सचिन तेंडुलकर समेत 50 से ज्यादा हस्तियों के पुतले होंगे।
● इनमें 60 फीसदी इंडिया के लोकल सिलेब्रिटी होंगे, जबकि 40 फीसदी इंटरनैशनल सिलेब्रिटी होंगे।
● म्यूजियम में रखे जाने वाले हर मोम के पुतले की कीमत करीब डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये होगी।
